Been here only 4 times. Each visit a fabulous dining experience. Food -both simple pizza and dinner specials - is delicious. Specials are well balanced and composed. The type of meal that leaves you wanting more. (tuna, cod) A bit noisy but that adds to the upbeat vibe. Decor is informal stylish. It makes for a good blend of family affairs and date nights. I'm not sure why this place has such a low Yelp score but the food and service were great. We made a reservation though this wasn't necessary as there was plenty of seating when we arrived. There's plenty of parking. We weren't super hungry so we shared a salad and chicken parm and subbed the side pasta for spaghetti. Everything was delicious. The Tricolor salad was fresh and flavorful with a nice acidity. It was really just different leaves without any veggies but it paired well with the chicken parm. The chicken was a large quantity and easily fed both of us. However, I was disappointed by the little pasta on the side which I would say is the cheaper part of the dish. I was so impressed with this place, it went beyond my expectations and I cannot wait to return. We went for my husband's birthday and cannot wait to bring more people here! We got clams casino and they were some of the best I've had, the clams were huge! We also got chicken franchise, eggplant parm, and a side of broccoli rabe. All of the plates were extremely large, they absolutely did not skimp on portions. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the eggplant parm was the best I've ever had. It was huge, and assembled like a lasagna almost. I cannot get over it and will be returning just for that. The broccoli rabe side was bitter and delicious. This is the place if you want to have a casual dinner or go sit at the bar watch the football game and have a great dinner with some appetizers! We started with the risotto balls , yes, you might think there's not a lot but damn they are very good and the sauce that they're in is amazing!10/10 I also ordered a paper plane which was very good and the bartender was very attentive ! The steak frites ! They were the best ones I've ever had ! Hands-down, the steak was good, but having the egg on top of glossy glaze truffle fries that were very well balanced with the juice of the steak. Two of us boringly ordered the same thing: the meatloaf. It was delicious with a nice little shot of heat. Excellent mashed potatoes which should always accompany meatloaf in my world. My other half ordered the fennel encrusted tuna loin and he was very pleased. The fourth member of our party had the crispy pork ribs and cornbread with a side of broccolini (huge). Cornbread and polenta were both on the sweet side. A little too sweet for one of us. Three of us had wine and it took forever to get the espresso ordered at the same time. This was at the very beginning of the meal. I'm a dessert freak but nothing really grabbed me. (However, Batch is two doors down and seasonal pumpkin cheesecake ice cream was exquisite.) Went out for an early dinner on Friday. I've never been to Posto before. It's in the Longmeadow strip. Parking was fine, there is a large parking lot. Inside it is a mix of old and new, as the menu states the fare is. The walls have old pictures and then some contemporary items. It's a nice mix. My companion and I ate in the bar area. Evidently, it gets rather busy there on Friday night as many of the high-top tables and bench tables had "Reserved" signs on them. Our server, Sarah was punctual and came just after I sat down. My companion was already there drinking a beer. We chatted for a bit about the place as I perused the menu. At the suggestion of Sarah, I ordered the "merci merci me" drink. Very interesting and actually quite good. My companion had been to Posto regularly so they ordered the mussels appetizer. I ordered the Butternut squash ravioli. As a side note, the pasta is made fresh daily. The mussels come out in a huge bowl. It's a spicy broth they use and it burned my mouth tasting it. My companion loves this dish. My pasta looked divine. The ravioli was cooked al dente with the gently sweet Butternut squash perfectly encased inside. The pictures don't do justice as the flavor was very good. For dessert...I am ashamed to admit that I didn't take any pictures... just dove head first into it... the flourless chocolate cake with almond Gelato and salted caramel drizzle topped with a small dollop of mascarpone cheese and vanilla-chocolate straws. We had this with expresso. It was simply heavenly. The cake was dense and so flavorful, the Gelato and salted caramel drizzled sauce was the perfect complement. We shared this and I'm glad we did as it was too decadent for one person to finish on their own. I'd say this is a good spot to meet after work on Fridays. It's not cheap and probably better to get a reservation as by the time we left it was hopping busy. read more

Last. Ight was only our second time at Posto. Not much changed since last. I got chicken parm which in itself was not bad but small piece for $27. They served this silly small pasta that was cold on the plate with hot chicken parm on top(maybe they were hoping the chicken parm would heat it up). After complaining, they did bring out more pasta, should have asked for alternative pasta. In the small bowl, kind of made me think Chef Boyardee. For $27, not great value. No salad, a few small rolls, menu warns 25 cents extra more. Wife got pizza, not enough cheese and bland taste, like pasta. Thoroughly unimpressed. I will stick with Red Stone, Red Rose or Leone's over this place. Honestly, surprised they still in business. I guess local clientele have no issue with overpriced menu and underwhelming meal. After leaving. We both mentioned that we would've took Bertucci's over that place every day of the week, too bad they failed. Listen....just listen to me real quick. Dont waste your time going to any other Italian restaurant in Western MA. This place fucking blew me away. The old fashioned that they make goes down like juice and got me intoxicated enough to start ordering everything off the menu. Order the risotto balls for an app, it basically comes in like a fucking ice cream cone filled with garlic mashed potatoes. For dinner I got the meatloaf, and after my first bite it was hard for me not to make love to it. If you're looking to take your significant other on a nice Italian dinner style date or just looking to impress...whoever you eat meals with, take them here instead of driving into the city. The food was good and we were enjoying our second drinks between laughs when the bill came. Within a few minutes of getting the bill, we paid and then went back to catching up. The next thing we know, a woman who works there told us we could go to the bar, but they needed our table! We had only been there for 2 hours and spent over $100.00! In all my years of going to restaurants, I have never been kicked out of a table! That was my first time there and will definitely be the last! My boyfriend and I decided to try Posto to change our usual Max Burger dinner date. We weren't surprised when we were pointed to bar seating on the busy Friday night. We grabbed a high top table and waited for quite some time until we were provided with menus. We were not in a rush, so it was not a big deal. After finally receiving the menus and glasses of water, we placed our appetizer and entree orders. Roughly 20-30 minutes later, our waiter finds his way back to our table to ask us what we ordered, because the kitchen did not get our ticket. Even after this, we were not "hangry" yet, so we let this brush off. Another 30 minutes later, our meatball appetizer arrived at the same time as our entrees and was a bit cold. Needless to say, my frustration grew as our waiter did not apologize for the continual delays. I was extremely thankful for the busboy who continually replenished my water while we waited. The only place in the Springfield area that truly makes pizza napoletana (Neapolitan pizza). If this restaurant were in Italy, I'd give it a 7.5 or 8 out of 10 by Italian standards. Full disclosure, I'm born and raised Italian, and i can talk pizza all day. If you went to Italy once and ordered a Cesar Salad, skip this review - chances are you're looking for thin, crispy crust pizzas, or focaccia style (sometimes called Sicilian). I didn't like their pasta - too big a portion and was swimming in sauce. Italian food must have balance. Sorry, but this place aces the pizza only. The place is cool, but I don't go there for the ambiance. Speaking of, some of the Italian words on the wall are not right... I go back every week or so just for their pizzas. This one is another of their options which uses a non-red sauce, an alternative lacking in so many places in the Springfield area. This pizza has a pesto sauce, although I would've liked a bit more sauce myself. The other vote in our house thought it was just right, however, so I think it's a matter of personal taste. 4/10/25 Just finished a luncheon for 2 at Posto Longmeadow which we have frequented multiple times in the past. We have always considered returning for we have enjoyed our experience. Today was a disappointment. We will probably not want to return. I had the chicken bravo sandwich and it was like shoe leather. It was obviously not fresh and most likely several days old. To be honest, I really wanted to like this place as it was recommended by a co-worker and a friend. Unfortunately, I found the food to be mediocre at best, and WAY overpriced. The entire bill for my wife and I came to just over $110. (Before tip). For 2 people, I think that's rather high. We've been to other restaurants in the area (Center Sqr. Grill) where the food is better and the bill was never that high. No offense to the cook, but if I wanted mediocre food I'd stay home and cook it myself, and I'd still save a bundle. read more

Love the people that work there; super friendly and nice. Not in love with their pizzas anymore though. I used to tell everyone this was THE Place to get pizza. Brick oven thin crusts and all that. Not sure what's happened in the last 3-4 months but the pizzas aren't all that anymore. For example, my other half has ordered the Soppressata Picante pizza several times and it hasn't been the same every time. Heavy on one ingredient one week, barely there the next, and an occasional extra ingredient. Lately it's been so greasy it's soaked through the box. Today was the last straw when we ordered a Margherita pizza. It's supposed to be thin, some fresh tomato sauce and a few slices of fresh mozzarella (buffalo). Cute venue, casual, mixed crowd of families, teens, older folk, couples etc. the place was packed when we arrived at 8pm on a Friday night- definitely make a reservation! They have bar seating, outdoor dining and the main dining room. We ordered the Caesar salad, rigatoni bolognese and the margherita pie. Lightly dressed iceberg lettuce for the salad, with breadcrumbs and pieces of Parmesan as well as anchovies on top. Homemade rigatoni was very good- sauce wasn't too salty, generous amount of meat and big dollop of delicious mascarpone on top. The pizza has a fluffy/chewy crust with generous amounts of basil, very cheesy - could use a touch more sauce to balance. There was no bread but the crust worked well to help mop up the extra bolognese. Would definitely recommend the rigatoni and pizza- great low key meal in the area! My wife and another couple joined me for a wonderful change from the usual routine of a main course and pasta. Posto offers a delicious selection of salads which we both paired with their pizza. We also had a great server named Rachel. She brought us fresh glasses full of ice with a big bottle of water and lemon slices. When I dropped the utensils I used for my salad she quickly replaced them. I told her about a Yelp review I wrote complementing a server whose name I made sure to mention who received a $50 bonus. I hope Rachel will be rewarded. Back to our meal , we split a small Caesar salad that was huge with anchovies on the side for me. The pizza we shared was Fungi Misti.
