SUCH a cute date night place! The table we were at was nice, though it could have been a little more intimate. It was right aside the service station so more often than not a server had their back to us most of the time. We came here as an anniversary dinner trip, and I am so happy we decided on Casa Bella. The food was so delicious and well cooked. The blackened scallops over risotto....it's been a while since this anniversary dinner and I still thing of them often! We ended up finishing the night with a lemoncello and an espresso. While we have only been to Casa Bella this one time, I do plan on going back. This was our first time trying Casa Bella, Italian kitchen. We took our order to go. I have a gluten allergy. When I called and ordered the very kind woman on the phone suggested a GF dinner with chicken. It was excellent. I didn't get sick, so they did GF well. My son had the 16 ounce Delmonico steak He said it was cooked well and was delicious. His only comment was after traveling, the potatoes were soggy. He would suggest packing the potatoes separately from steak, so the juices don't mix with the potatoes. We live in Connecticut, but the drive was quick and easy. We will be back! read more

Great food, great staff one of our go to places. Tonight they had two women at the bar who were complaining about their points program and how they didn't recognize them and couldn't use their points on a special item, staff offered them a free drink or desert to make up for it, they wouldn't have it, berated the staff then stiffed them, horrible people. Don't be like those women go enjoy the food as well as the staff. If you are just angry people with issues stay home. read more

Been here many times and was surprised to see I have not left a review. For the food, don't be shocked when you have to take some home, large portions! The meatballs are three large and makes this appetizer a favorite for sharing around the table. You can't go wrong with any of the pasta dishes, I enjoy their lasagna but wanted a steak tonight. Ordered medium rare, came out medium well so if I order again I'll be sure to ask for rare. Didn't order dessert as nothing really caught my eye. We had an amazing meal and overall experience at Casa Bella recently. Staff was very nice and helpful and attentive, but the vittles were on point! The food was delicious and portions generous, and we were all impressed at the great value and caliber of food. We all enjoyed the warm and fresh rolls with dipping oil (though this restaurant is definitely on a higher level, takes me back to the best part of Bertucci's, anybody?!). We relished our apps including perfectly seasoned risotto balls, and were rapturous over the crispy, perfectly cooked, and HUGE eggplant fries, no other eggplant fries I have ever tried could possibly compare bahahaha! Our entrees were generous and seasoned and cooked delightfully. We all were blown away by the Italian (basil) martini, and let me tell you it was the most flavorful summer-in-a-glass celebration of basil in a cocktail that I can't wait to go back for.... we all really enjoyed this gem in Hampden! read more

Casa Bella's owner shows a blatant disregard for the local community. The owner instructs employees to use the neighboring Post Office parking lot, occupying the 15-minute time-limit spaces and completely blocking the handicap stall. When confronted, the owner explicitly stated that the restaurants parking lot is for his own customers. Leaving essential postal services entirely inaccessible to customers and disabled neighbors is unacceptable. read more

First of all, Tony, our waiter was absolutely wonderful. Had I not known, I would have thought I was in a high end restaurant. Extremely polite and was next to perfect. The food was very good. I had the bucatini and my mom and aunt had lasagna. Generous portion and came out hot. The rolls were also very good if you like a thicker pizza dough like density. The garlic oil hit the spot as a great butter alternative. The place appears to have been spruced up since last week visited and looks great. My aunt was wedged in a small corner because of the orientation of the tables but it wasn't a big deal. Overall, it was a pleasant evening meal. The one point of contention I had was that they no longer offer a salad with entrees it seems anymore. The waiter said it was $5 extra if you want it. All dishes are at least $20 except for the pizzas. It's fairly common nowadays and aren't complaining, but rather, just educating the public if that's a factor. We'll be back again in the future and appreciate Tony for his excellent service! read more

My family has been here a few times and previously have had decent meals here. Just for dinner here tonight and am very disappointed. The kids lasagna had barely any meat in it at all and had a lot of ricotta and cheese to compensate (not very tasty, pretty bland). The haddock stuffed with crab was the biggest letdown however, as the crab meat was very clearly imitation crab (you could see that fake pink/red coating on it). For the cost of the dish there is really no excuse for using imitation crab meat. At least warm somebody first, state it in the menu, because I feel straight up conned. When we walked in the hostess station directed us to the dining room on the right side. We saw there was a big group or some sort of party going on in the left side. Our dining room featured a big bar and a stage for live music. We started off with some fantastic complimentary rolls, freshly baked and absolutely loaded with chopped garlic and a few crushed red pepper flakes. Seriously fantastic! My lunch was a side salad and an appetizer order of Mussel and Clam Fra Diavlo ($14). I couldn't have been happier with the dish. All of the shellfish was cooked beautifully and tasted great, and oh my lord was the sauce delicious. I only wish it was served with some bread or crostinis, as so many other restaurants do. And I have to mention how nice the salad was -very good portion of fresh, cold Romaine, tomatoes, halved cucumbers and red onion rings. My wife ordered a chicken parmigiana panini with a side salad ($12) and she really liked it as well. It had a good amount of chicken in there and was served with soup cup sized portion of marinara. We also took home a small "Frank's Favorite" pizza ($16) with eggplant and sausage. It was stellar with a thin crist throughout and a thicker chewy crust on the perimeter. All of this ran a hair under $50 and I have to say the value and quality were excellent. Add in some stellar service from Holly, that made our lunch stop even more enjoyable. Use caution paying your bill/tip if you have a part greater than four. They refused to do separate checks. They claimed the bill/tip was short. There was no shortage of bill/tip. I won't speculate as to what happened to the missing money, simply use caution. I can guarantee no one in our party will ever be back again. This is 2024 almost 2025. If I can monthly visit a restaurant and our party of 10-15 can receive separate checks, Casa Bella catch up with technology and customer service. Disappointed ! Haven't been here in a while but have enjoyed food in the past . Love spinach so I had chicken saltimbocca . What a disappointment! Large portion of spinach that was not seasoned . Layers of chicken fresh tomato , cheese and prosciutto topped this super large portion of spinach . No sauce to blend all the flavors . Appears to have been forgotten ? Our server tried but failed . His attention to the near table left us waiting for drinks and water . We did get a container of water after we asked . My husbands fish and scallops was a big disappointment as well . My sister and I came to Casa Bella for dinner for her birthday. We were greeted at the host station and then sat on the bar side which was very clean and upscale, a little dark which was nice if you enjoy that kind of dinner experience. We both ordered apps which we knew were going to be big but had in mind we would just have plenty of left overs, which is never an issue. The portions are 100% accurate with the price. My sister got a Fried Mozzarella appetizer. Unfortunately didn't get a picture before devouring it. I got the Calamari spicy style. The Calamari was amazing, breading and texture was perfect and can't wait to have it again. Loved that style of how it was served. Knowing I wouldn't be able to take another bite of food I just ordered another drink and let her order the Chicken Francaise with angel hair. I took one bite so I could at least know if I wanted to order it in the future, and I'll definitely keep it in mind. Went off my first time. Sat in the bar. Loves the booths there. Very comfortable and spacious for our party of 4. Bathrooms are much too small and cramped. For appetizers we had truffle fries and the eggplant fries. Both delicious but I loved the eggplant fries. So tasty. Disappointing we realized at the end of the meal we didn't get bread like all the other tables did. Cocktail: I had the strawberry refresher. It was good but too much basil and not enough strawberry, and quite small. One friend was a bit disappointed because she ALWAYS gets the shrimp scampi. To her it tasted much different. It looked like an Alfredo. I had the chicken Gianna .... The flavor was amazing but I was disappointed that for $24 it was not a very large plate and didn't even come with pasta. It was just chicken, sausage and spinach tossed in a creamy sauce drowning on the plate. A friend had the special which was an Alfredo teriyaki pasta dish and another friend had chicken francaise - they both liked their meals. Lovely atmosphere. The menu has a wide variety of Italian options. I went with two friend. We were seated and there must have been a miscommunication because we sat for 20 minutes with no service. Once we spoke up our server was very attentive. We enjoyed the risotto balls and garlic bread with mozzarella appetizers. The bread basket had nice crusty bread with seasoned olive oil for dipping. One friend had the mushroom ravioli, one a steak and I had the rigatoni. The rigatoni came topped with two half cup scoops of ricotta cheese on top, not my cup of tea but easily removed. Run far away, place is horrible! First time we went I ordered a steak medium rare and it came out like a hockey puck and imagine it was previously frozen. We ordered calamari and was like chewing on a rubber band. Last night we gave it another shot and ordered take out, 2 Toscano salad and eggplant fries. The fries were pretty good, but when we opened our salads there was maybe 1 tomato in each and just a pile of lettuce. We called to let them know and she wanted us to drive all the way back to show them the salad. Just very disappointing all around! read more
