I was a bit hesitant dining here after the negative Yelp reviews posted recently but my hotel front desk convinced me to give it a try. It's a great location on the beach so great locale for people watching. Also local musicians stroll by playing hawking their CDs after playing a few tunes. Kitchen started us off with Bruschetta which good. We followed with the calamari which seemed to be a popular dish and I could tell why. Cooked perfectly and not greasy. For my entree, I had the pesto which was excellent. Perfect combo of basil, olive oil and garlic. Portion was a bit small compared to the other pastas being brought out from the kitchen. If you are looking for a salad, their salads are good sized and can be easily shared. Service wasn't the friendliest in town but was attentive. Beware that they add a service charge to the bill. read more

We heard mixed reviews about this restaurant but loved it. The location is very convenient and the service was so nice. they let us move tables into one in the shade after ours became sunny as the sun rose higher mid-day. Onto the food: This place has THE BEST OCTOPUS we've ever had in our lives... and I've tried octopus in various different countries, 5 star restaurants, hole in the walls... this is IT. It was so tender, fresh, flavorful, melted in our mouths with a potato puree. HEAVEN. My husband got pizza which was decent and I got pasta all'vongole which was decent too. But we will be back for the octopus. Given the location it's touristy, buy hey, Positano is a touristy town. read more

Such a lovely restaurant right in the beach of Positano. We made a reservation ahead of time because the place gets packed at night. We had the fresh fish of the day which was red snapper. They cut the fish from the skin for us which was nice because we would have butchered it. Great selections of wines and pastas. All of us left very happy and really enjoyed our meals. read more

Absolutely delicious food with great variety and some dishes that are not super expensive. I shared the sea bass with my father, and it was one of the best I've ever had. I went to 3 restaurants on the beach during my stay in Positano. This gets the best rating across the board....1. food 2. service 3. atmosphere. 1. Ordered the clams with spaghetti and spinach as a side. Simple, easy, but incredibly flavorful and delicious. They also gave me a bruschetta which was incredible and a must order. The limencello dessert drink was an amazing finish 2. Servers were somewhat stoic, but very friendly and helpful....and incredibly attentive!!! Very pleasant and have a very nice conversation. 3. On the beach at Positano...can't really get much better. Of the 3 place I visited in Positano, would come back to this one first. read more

Definitely one of my favorite in positano. Beachfront view and the original three sisters started this and their photo is everywhere and now their sons (cousins) run this place. The servers worked on average over 15 years and are super friendly. The food is extremely fresh and for all the food and wine we drank and it only came out to 50 euros for the eight of us I think it's a steal. The langoustines are by far my favorite. I want to eat them for the rest of my trip! I got that with grilled king prawns. Omg it was so delicious! And I got the rigatoni to start and that was also really tasty. The food and wine (Pinot Grigio) is so good. I don't want to leave Italy. read more

Really great all around! We came here on our last night in Positano at the end of October. It was a chilly evening, but sitting outside and by the water was really nice. The restaurants itself is nestled in a pretty touristy area surrounded by other restaurants and the water. We tried many of the surrounding restaurants as well, but really loved the open atmosphere and lovely service at Le Tre Sorelle. The most important part of the meal, the food, was flavorful and fresh. We got a great bottle of wine, enjoyed some smaller plates, and some delicious entrees. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to everyone I know! read more

Le Tre Sorelle had an exceptional combination of ambiance (waterside), service (smiles and efficiency) and quality (flavorful food). You go because you can basically put your toes in the sand while you drink local white wine and eat heart shaped bread. The food is good, but again, far from mind blowing. What is mind blowing is ocean front view with the city of Positano carved into the cliffs above you. read more

We have traveled all over Italy, and our experience unfortunately was the worst. We both ordered pizzas. When my husband got his, the flavor was okay, but it was extremely soggy. We told our waiter about it. He said that's what happens with the cheese. We have eaten plenty of pizzas in Italy to know that that is not the case. The customer service was just not there. They offered to make him a new one after he tried to argue. We paid for everything, including the pizza he barley touched and left. read more

This place was pretty good! Right on the water, this place was bustling. Wait staff was friendlier than other places around, though food took a bit to come out. We ordered the 'side dish' of eggplant parm which was the size of a main and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend! We also got fried calamari which was also amazing and so fresh, though we found it strange that it did not come with marinara sauce. Regardless, some of the best fried calamari I've ever had. The pizza was the definite least favorite, it wasn't bad but our least favorite pizza in positano. We got pepperoni and they were pretty skimpy with it, and also the crust was a bit 'wet' / flimsy. I wish I had ordered something else but overall, we would eat here again. Really great atmosphere! read more

We came here late, around 9:30 without a reservation. The people we checked in with seemed miffed and our waiter did not seem to care 1 way or the other that we were there. Our food came out and the gnocchi was tasty, lasagna tasty, my steak (bone in rig eye) was B/B+ and my wife's steak dish was good. Overall service was underwhelming though the ladies running plates and cleaning tables were pleasant. This place is good, busy and serves am average meal. I Positano there are certainly better. We usually like to try different places on vacation, and in a town like this with an abundance of restaurants, there's no reason to repeat one unless it was really good -- and Le Tre Sorrelle is REALLY good. We first came here for lunch, and it was awesome -- super casual and right on the boardwalk -- and we knew it was a good sign when the restaurants next to it were only half full, but Le Tre Sorrelle was packed and there were even people waiting for tables! The service was fast but friendly, and everything was super fresh and delicious. We had the calamaretti, grilled octopus with polenta, and the arugula salad -- all incredibly good. We returned a couple of nights later for dinner, and service was a little bit more hurried and less attentive, but the food was just as good. We ordered the same things, except we had asparagus instead of the salad (not the best choice since the asparagus was steamed instead of grilled and lacked flavor). We also ordered a grilled whole fish, which was very good. Skip the other beachside places and come here instead! read more

We were impressed with Le Tre Sorelle (The Three Sisters). The restaurant is located in the absolute heart of the tourist beach strada in Positano, which set off our tourist trap spidey sense, but a friend had recommended it so in we went and were happy we did. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, which was impressive considering it was a busy lunch time. We kept is simple by ordering a couple pizzas and a bottle of wine. The margarita with mushrooms was well balanced with that perfect slightly chewy crust. The prosciutto parma was a tad cheesy for our taste, but within fifteen minutes there wasn't a trace of it left so... We sat a chatted over the bottle of wine and never felt rushed. If you find yourself down by the beach at lunchtime this is a safe bet. Enjoy. read more

My family and I ate here twice during our week long stay in Positano. Each meal was fabulous and delicious. Our server Gaetano was knowledgeable and friendly! Had a great meal here stuffed zucchini flowers and spaghetti vongole. This isn't a place for groundbreaking food just solid classics. Its in a fairly touristy area right on the beach but still pleasant. Definitely better to go in the evening after the crowds have died down a bit. read more

We came here for lunch after our hotel recommended it. The water-front location is great, and the food was even better. The waiters were very nice and kept bringing us endless baskets of bread (free of charge) that we could dip into the tasty local olive oil and vinegar. We then split a large salad with tomatoes, olives and Parmesan followed by pasta dishes with loads of sea food- clams, shrimp, oysters, you name it! Everything was fresh and delicious. My driver recommended this restaurant and I was excited to try it. We ordered the seafood pasta with squid, the linguini with clams and the pizza with prosciutto. Everything was really salty and the waiter was very grumpy. The bread was stale and chewy. It's a pricy restaurant and I expected much better service and food. read more

This was another very nice restaurant next to Chez Black, right on the water in Positano. While the waiter seemed abrasive at first, he warmed up to us a ton as the evening went on. I had the grilled octopus starter, which was far and away the best and freshest octopus I've ever had. It was dressed perfectly and was packed with flavor. For my main course, I had a frutte di mare with "calamari" shaped pasta. The pasta was so fresh, and all of the seafood items were as delicious as could be. For dessert, I had the panna cotta which was not appetizing at all. This combined with the expensive nature of the restaurant was the only thing keeping it from a 5 star rating. The expense was expected, though, as you're certainly paying for location. I would come back, given the opportunity. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the entire world. One cannot go to Positano without visiting the main beach. And one cannot visit the main beach without eating at The Three Sisters (that's what it means...) I think this is the restaurant that has these gigantic planters that have been proven to be from the ancient Roman time, which proves that Positano was a seaside resort during the Roman Empire. But enough about history. Their food is simply outstanding. Get the spaghetti alle vongole. And don't be a typical American and put cheese on it. read more

Just meh. After having a yum lunch experience next door at Chez Black, we thought we might have the same yum meal here. We placed an order for grilled mozzarella on lemon leaves, margherita pizza and a pasta dish that I can't remember because we were having such a below mediocre experience with the grilled mozzarella and pizza that we decided to cancel the 3rd item fortunately just in time before they started it. I guess next door set the bar too high. Two other reasons we were less than satisfied was the view and the service. This is oceanfront just like Chez Black but our server who had no personality (barely smiled and grunted mostly) took every opportunity to stand right in front of our table I guess so he can enjoy the view himself. So most of our time, we were looking at his back. I will say that they were gracious about canceling our last pasta dish. Other than that, I sadly have no other compliments. read more
