I've been doing my hair with Martha for years!! She's amazing, always knows what looks best with my skin tone, we change it up each "season" (kind of, Im a creature of habit so we try to change it up within similar tones lol) and I've always loved my color, highlights in the summer, a little darker in the winter.. she's amazing at highlights! Balayage as well! the cut is always on point too, I like my hair long so we always go with long layers because I have naturally wavy hair so when I get lazy to blow dry it waves and curls so beautifully on its own. Go to Patty. Seriously, go to Patty. I'm going to be honest and tell you she's my sister. Yes, I may be biased, but seriously, she cuts great hair. Anytime I've gone to her knowing what I want, whether it's a flirty layered look, or a Zoey Deschanel look, I've come out overpleased. The best is going in not having any clue of what I want and leaving amazed at my hair. I always get complimented on my hair whenever I get it done there, so you know she's good. Patty's been cutting hair since I could remember. I don't remember a time when Patty wasn't my hair stylist sister. Martha is great too. They've both been working together for years (too many to mention without getting into trouble) and they just treat you so nicely. And they're good at cutting mens hair too. My boyfriend loves going to her because she always cuts it just right. My friends love going to her too. It's an odd location, yes. But there's no rule against the ghetto having a great stylist! And you won't be dropping $100 just for a trim and style here, even though they could easily charge that if it weren't for their location. I have went to this place a total of three times. I made appointments every single time. 1st Appt: Was with Martha: She was 30 minutes late.. which I could have been called and told. I waited.. maybe there was an accident etc.. but no on in the office can tell me where she was or if she forgot. When she finally got there, she was nice and the color & cut was nice. 2nd Appt: I wanted a touchup (roots) and a cut. Martha wasn't there so I went with the lady (I think Sonia) not sure but she had curly blonde hair and speaks Spanish. I don't speak Spanish very well so I was a little skeptical but she cut my hair very beautifully. My one star is for her. BUT when she went to grab the hair color she told me Martha locked all the color up since she was leaving for a couple days. She apologized. There was nothing to do and she was nice but a waste of my day off. She was nice so I tipped her and left. 3rd Appt: I decided to give them one more chance since I still hadn't done my roots.I made it with Martha since she obviously was the keyholder for the color. I made my appt on another day off @10, later that day I had a festival to go to which I told them and assured me it would be done before 1pm. I showed up 5min early and waited and waited.. and waited for Martha to get there. I left @11. I live 5minutes from this place. It would have been courteous to call the salon and tell them your running late or you forgot. I could have waited at home, packed things for my trip etc. I decided to leave since obviously she doesn't care about my time so I wont spend any more money here. I honestly just came in to cut my bangs. Straight across. I was very skeptical because of the frame of my face its a bit, maybe round? Anyway, I actually walked in and I didn't know it was by appointment! But the very sweet lady who was already working on a client said she would ask Martha if it was ok and sure enough Martha was sweet enough to cut my bangs right away. She cut them and asked me how I felt about them and she also said she would prefer to leave them long because obviously it's easier than cutting short and not being able to fix that. She also offered to show kw how I could style them, and blow-dry them giving me tips and helpful advice! My hair was dry and brittle from processed bleaching and had no style to it. Martha was very considerate and cut my hair in layers to get as much of the bleached parts out and give my hair life again. Pros: Extremely close to where I live, so convenient Patty is super nice and takes her time My hair was cut evenly, and well done, blow out was good Cons: Cramped salon with no AC (not fun during summer when you're getting a blow dry) Time management, I had to wait for her to finish a client before taking me, then my daughter had to wait while she finished another client. When I make an appt I expect that to be my appt. So we spent a large chunk of our day there. I just want to say that NOT showing up to an appointment is completely unprofessional. I've cut my hair with Patty once before and I loved it. I've been trying to cut my hair for a while but I never really have time and Patty is always booked but this time I made my appointment 3 weeks in advance and even called to confirm the day of. My appointment was at 2pm and I got there about 10 mins early and sat down to wait for her. I waited for about 25mins before I got up and left. I'm not even sure what time she finally arrived but I'm never going back and anyone who doesn't have time to show up to an appointment shouldn't have clients in the first place. If you want a place where they know how to professionally cut bangs, this isn't the place. Went in for a bang trim and my bangs came out really crooked and too short. She started by weting my bangs which already is a big no when it comes to cutting bangs. I should've walk out the minute she did it, but I gave the place a chance. She cut my bangs wrong and still wanted to charge me 15$ for a bad trim. She blamed my hair for being wavy. Which should never be a reason bangs come out this messed up. read more

I've had my hair cut here twice now, the first time it was aaaamazing. I could not stop looking at it in the mirror, the service was the best, and I thought I had found my new forever go to salon. The second time though, I realized a few days after the hair cut that my hair is soooo crooked. Thinking back on it, after the hair cut, the woman didn't even offer me a mirror so that I could look at it from different angles. Half of my hair is in an almost a-line bob, the other half is straight with a few layers like I wanted it. And there is a random big chunk of hair in the back lower layer that is just way shorter than all the rest of the hair. Overall my hair looks like its slanted and not in a good or edgy way. It is soooo embarrassing! I have to walk around with half my hair pinned up so that no one notices or with a beanie, until I can go to another hair salon to fix this. I understand my case may be one in hundreds, or maybe the hairdresser was having a bad day, but nope I will not be going back.So I guess 2 stars for the first time, and for the second time getting two haircuts in one.
