I get my hair done with Darlene . First off let me say she's amazing . When I first booked with her I sent her possible looks I was going for and color. I came in for my first appointment which was my cut & we did my consultation for color. She was so sweet and easy to get along with. Connected with her on so many things we had great conversations. She was excited about the cut I wanted (mullet) & since it was a big cut for me we started off small. Now I'm four appointments in and worked my way to full joe dirt mullet. & she's done a different color in my hair each time. Results are always amazing. She helped me change to a cut I really wanted & helped me ease my way into it , in a way I will feel comfortable and confident. She also did my Brazilian blow out & it's AMAZING ! I can never go back to frizzy hair again. The salon as a whole is nice and clean. The staff are open, nice, and conversational. I'm so proud of what she has accomplished. She works with 2-3 other stylist and while I'm sure they are amazing as well I've only worked with Yvette. Let me tell you about my experience. I have been looking and asking hair stylists on yelp if they could do my hair. I found Darlene and sent her pictures of what I might want. The appointment comes and as I'm sitting in the chair letting her know what I want she seemed confused because she said the hairstyle that I want I already had so she didn't need to do much with it. I thought well I guess I should leave then but I already gave her a deposit which I didn't know the refund policy for. So I decided I'll color my hair. I wanted a deep chocolate redish brown. Instead I look like Allan from barbie. I was nervous when heading in because I was hoping for her advice on what to get instead she would get aggravated when I said I wanted this way but in her eyes it wasn't what I was asking? Idk but she gave me a trim haircut for $60 no style. I was excited at first because the girl in front of me had her hairstyle basically the same how I wanted it and instead she just gave me a trim. I'm really not happy at all with my look. Darlene is a very nice wholesome girl, but when it came to advice for my hair she shouldn't have been the one I trusted to do my hair. I'm very disappointed in this spot. oh and the girls there basically talk crap about their customers like in office space. It's rude and their basically talking about you. I came in her salon with the most brittle and damaged hair super dry and just ready t be chopped off. When I made my appointment I told Yvette i wanted to get a balayage done. However after she saw my hair she gave me a couple options. She explained that I needed to get rid of the dead hair but I told her I didn't want to cut my hair short. So convenient instead of back and forth texts/calls. She immediately reached out to ask what I was looking for. I went to Yvette for the first time in August 2018 to have my hair colored for the very first time and she talked me through the entire process. She took her time to make sure everything went perfect and that I was happy with how it turned out. I was amazed at how it turned out and received so many compliments. Since I went for a stain, purple, verses a traditional color, I went back to Yvette before a trip with family in early 2019 and again she did an amazing job.
