Until I read the statement from the funeral parlor director. Supposedly the army officers requested 4' caskets. Really - aliens? And your big concern is the size of the casket? All you have to do is be curious to come here. They have everything on display chronologically, some interesting visual displays, and it's a self guided with lots of captivating stories and tangible materials as it relates to the existence of aliens and UFO's. I went through here in about an hour. It would take you much longer if you read everything on display. Lots of the stories on the timeline are fascinating. I thought it was well put together and should be thrilling for the alien enthusiasts. After checking out all the museum displays, there's a decent sized gift shop offering various types of merchandise. I got a cool fridge magnet as a souvenir for visiting this infamous museum. If you ever come to Roswell, whether you are into or believe in aliens, you have to visit the UFO Museum. It represents what Roswell is known for, and it's just an overall interesting experience with everything chronologically displayed nicely.

It was made into a patio type area. When I brought my daughters to check the place out on 7/19/2023, there honestly wasn't much to look at except for a few patriotic pieces. All of the pieces on display are from local artists. Some are for sale while some are labeled NFS or "not for sale." These art shows typically entail entry fees of around $10 per artwork. Guidelines apply. The next entry deadline will be in August for their popular Fan Art Show. For details go to https://lccanm.org They do offer classes from time to time mainly for kids in art, music, and readers theater. I saw a few parents dropping the kids. They are closed Sunday & Monday. So glad we have this opportunity in our community!

We decided to wander in to see what they had & we are glad we stopped by. It was a lot of fun looking at each of the booths that were set up while trying to find little treasures to take home. There is a good mixture of booths here, some have actual vintage products, some have handmade products and others just have bulk type nerd products like loungefly that they are reselling. The store itself seems pretty well organized & clean. Prices vary from booth to booth as every booth is run by someone different. Some booths have some great finds and great prices and others seemed a bit too high. We found a few neat things we decided to pick up!

Free parking too. Donations were welcome. Second, this behemoth of a building is home to the Roswell Artist-in-Residence (RAiR) Program, founded by the now deceased businessman and fellow artist Don Anderson. There are - to my recollection during our brief introduction on November 29, 2025 - hundreds of artists that apply every year. They dwindle that number down to 6. The artists hailed from all over the world. Third, the artwork is fascinating. There was no limit to the use of mediums either. Each piece is labeled with the artists name, their country of origin, what year they were born, the years they were RAiR, the title of the artwork, the year of its completion, and the mediums used. My middle school daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed room after room of inspiration. They talked about a few of the pieces for several days afterwards. And to think... this opportunity resides in the flat desert of southeastern New Mexico.

I didn't really have any specific expectations going in, but this place honestly blew me away. I've been to some of the biggest art museums in the world and been less impressed. Pound for pound, I don't think any other art museum has had so many pieces that I found compelling. If you are in the area, I can't recommend this place enough. It may be a relatively small place compared to the likes of The MET, but this museum holds its own.

There are clean restrooms here and a fun simulation as well as an awesome gift shop carrying lots of alien themed items. One thing that was very interesting is the Research center. I believe it's free without admission ( they accept donations). You can go inside and it's essentially a library with UFO and paranormal themed books, as well as a separate room for sci fi books and another room with more incident reports and such to look at. It's pretty neat and I wish I had more time to sit and read a few of the interesting books they had. In short, this place is more fun for adults than for kiddos but if the kiddos can read it may be interesting for them.

When you enter The Alien Zone there is a tiny gift shop in the front and the girl behind the counter was watching a movie on her laptop. We asked for two tickets and paid $17.32. She pointed to the curtain and said "You're fine to go back and check it out. You can touch all of the props and take pictures." Once we walked through the curtain, I thought we were getting pranked. There was a wall full of toys like aliens and rats and spiders but they are all behind netting that has been zip tied together, so you can't touch any of it. Then you see a few displays with aliens that look like they are left over from some old escape room or something. Underwhelming is an understatement. We figured since we had already paid, we might as well try to have some fun, but it is so dark in the room that It's difficult to get a good photo. There are only two rooms and once we got into the second room it got really really warm. At the very end they have a lab coat that you can put on for photo ops I guess but we were literally sweating, so we just left. If you are reading reviews to decide which things are worth doing and which things are not, definitely put this on your not list. The UFO spacewalk is just a block or two away, it's less expensive, and way more fun. There are also plenty of alien photo ops all around the city, including the visitor center, that don't cost a penny.
