Y'all... I live in Georgia, but I saw this place on Instagram a while ago and saved it. I got the opportunity to visit when I was visiting my friend in Vegas. Though I would love to have one of these in my area, it's probably for the good of my waist that I don't lol. I visited one day to get the regular banana pudding and ended up going back the very next day to get the strawberry cheesecake banana pudding. Hold up! A chocolate dipped banana spot where you can pick your fresh toppings??? Yes - Lea Lana, absolutely! I walked in and instantly there is a fun, vibrant energy. The business concept had me thinking "where have you been?" You can choose from 3 different sizes of bananas, your dip, your toppings, and your sauce. Yes, they offered other items on the menu like cheesecake and pudding but I had to find out if the chocolate covered bananas brought me back to an amusement park. This was 100x better!!! I got a medium milk chocolate covered with 1/2 peanuts and 1/2 almond roca. I instantly knew this was made different, a very good "different". The banana wasn't too frozen allowing you to comfortably bite through it. The freshness of the dip allowed the toppings to stick easily - less spillage. And even when there was a little spillage your perfectly frozen banana could easily pickup those toppings. I immediately shared their yelp link with friends and was excited to share my review. The only vegan option seems like the half banana $5.25 with non-dairy/vegan chocolate. As for the Yelp deal I accidentally came across, the staff didn't recommend buying it because he didn't know how to redeem it anyways. And fyi, the pudding and banana bread are not dairy free/vegan. We've used Lea Lana's twice now for company events and every time we're pleased with the service. The guy attending the cart always does a great job, and more importantly the bananas are amazing. Only complaint I have is that they didn't carry enough nuts for all of the bananas and we ended up having to dip the leftover bananas in graham crackers or something. In Latin America "choco bananos"--chocolate covered frozen bananas on a stick are a traditional yummy treat. When I saw that there was a place where they make them with toppings, I was all in! Ordered the small with milk chocolate with almond roca and my son ordered a small milk chocolate with sprinkles. Yes, we ordered a small because we were anticipated not eating a larger one...it was the perfect treat & size! It's delciously sweet so we needed a sip of water. Be prepared--they charge you $1 plus tax for a bottle of water (i.e. they don't give you a small cup for water). We also ordered a small banana pudding to take home. Found this on IG and decided to finally go. When we went, no one was there and I decided to try their specialty the banana pops. I ordered the small one since I just wanted to try it. It was unusually delicious. I got it dipped in regular milk chocolate and added fruit Krispies as a topping. With caramel drizzle and some more chocolate! Hubby got the banana pudding since that's his favorite. He ordered two of the 32 oz one for us and one for family. It was pretty good. When I finished my three treats from the Yelp Community Experience at Lea Lana's Bananas, I decided to take home a container of banana pudding. What would you expect from a banana store? I had just eaten too much by then to enjoy dessert and I thought it would be good to have during Lincoln Lawyer time. In between epsiodes, I came to the kitchen to get a small bowl of the pudding. I put a couple of spoons in a bowl and then went back to the Netflix series. It was great! I went back to the refrigerator and got the small tub of pudding I bought, and I took that into the TV room. It was so good, it didn't have a chance of living very long in my refrigerator. The banan treat was good and this was just a perfect dessert. When you are ready to order, you get to customize your banana. You get to pick the chocolate (milk, white, or dark chocolate) then add your toppings and syrup. There are so many flavors and toppings, it was definitely so hard to decide. I've never tried a frozen banana before. After I took the first bite I realized it had a nice crunch, and the banana inside was fresh. My mind was playing games on me because towards the end I wanted to lick it like a lollipop (thinking it was like an ice cream), anyone else feel the same? No? I'm just weird, ok haha. Like, we plan to go back for more today and tomorrow before we head home from our vacation!! We got the 32 oz for my husband and I to share. Lea Lana's Is a great find and a hidden gem (shout out to Kayla and The Yelp Elite team!!) My husband and I stopped by to check out this Yelp Elite event on a Thursday. He's not a huge fan of sweets but he liked the one he chose which is the Oreo with milk chocolate. I ate both of the pops quick! The fruity pebbles with white chocolate was good, but the one that stood out to me was the Toffee and almonds with dark chocolate. The kids and I were in the area and wanted to discover a new dessert place. This place had amazing reviews and we decided to give it a shot. It's tucked away in a corner of the shopping center, but its super yellow bright inside. The kids were overwhelmed with all the things that can be done with the bananas and all the topping options. I needed to get a gift for Teacher Appreciation Week and wanted to satisfy my frozen banana craving. Lea Lana's is tucked away in the corner of a plaza off of Rainbow and Warm Springs. Keep your eyes peeled for IHOP and you'll know you're in the right place. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted and asked if I had been there before. Since it was my first time, the young lady working gave me a rundown of everything they offer to customize your banana. You can pick which chocolate you want your banana dipped in as well as toppings and drizzle. They offer different size banana pops so depending how hungry you are, you can get the perfect size for your sweet tooth. When I asked about a custom gift for Teacher Appreciation Week, the owner brainstormed the perfect gift at a price point I was looking for. This was way beyond my expectation as I thought you could only order what was on their menu. She created the order in their system with my desired pick up date and I paid for the order. She even comped my banana pop that I had on my visit. She also offered me a free hot coffee and they have flavored creamer to enjoy it with. When I went to pick up my order, it was ready to go in two boxes and she even packed dry ice so that they would stay cold for traveling time and presentation to the teachers. Mood- Birthday My son is a weirdo. I am too honestly. But I asked him if he wanted a cake, he says nah. I said do you want desserts, he says " surprise me with something cool" Well this place def had that cool factor added to it. Upon entering it was very refreshing. The sample sizes were approximately the size of half a banana each. I was grabbing lunch right after I picked these up so I would have a tasty dessert. I also decided to take home a container of banana pudding. They have two sizes. I purchased the smaller size for $10. It was a little pricey, but I wouldn't mind finding a good banana pudding place around town. At the cash register, they also had chocolate bars and chocolate covered pretzels for sale. Everything looked so good. The employee told me the white chocolate bar was what they ma8de for April 20th The frozen bananas were soooo good. I tried the milk chocolate with Butterfinger first and this was just delicious. The milk chocolate isn't overly sweet and I feel like this is a great way to get my potassium while enjoying a sweet treat The next banana that I tried was the milk chocolate with cheesecake. It wasn't as good as the Butterfinger but it was still tasty. I am so stuffed that I couldn't even eat the third one. Lea Lana's Bananas is the cutest shop with a great variety of delicious treats. This is going to be part of my rotation of sweet treats. Online ordering was very easy. I was able to explore the menu options, place my order with a specific pickup time, and pay through the website. This made pickup quick and simple. The shop is colorful and Insta worthy. The owner was friendly and upbeat. All good vibes in this shop. If there's a way to make a delicious treat with a banana they have it here. The flavor combinations that can be made seem endless. There are about half a dozen dip and drizzle options, including vegan chocolate. Topping options include candies, nuts, cereal, and cookies. Ice cream treats are on the menu too. What really stands out is that quality ingredients are used. The bananas are organic and the chocolate is Ghirardelli chocolate. Every topping I had tasted fresh. The Fruity Pebbles weren't stale which is often a problem with using cereal on desserts. I loved that the nuts and candies were finely chopped to make it easy to eat. With so many combinations that could be made I went with a dozen Banana Pops. My favorite combinations were white chocolate with Fruity Pebbles, milk chocolate with pistachios, dark chocolate with Reese's Pieces, and milk chocolate with toffee bits and caramel drizzle. The frozen banana underneath was delicious. By the end of the day the bananas were thawing a bit in the refrigerator. I threw them in the freezer and they were perfect to enjoy again. Even better, this allowed me to have more delicious banana treats for later. The pricing for a dozen banana pops was very reasonable at $34.
