I guess there comes a time in one's life when a tooth needs to be removed. My dentist in NYC recommended some oral surgeon in Manhattan. The office was very nice. He was extremely expensive. So, I decided to look around and found Dr. Park at Leading Edge. Pulling up to Selden... I was extremely hesitant. The office is in a bit of a run down medical strip mall. The parking lot is big and there are a few flowers and bushes by the office but overall it is somewhat ah old...maybe from the 1970s? Once inside Leading Edge, well things were the same. The AC was blasting away. I immediately wished i was wearing a sweater.A few people were waiting in old chairs. Everyone was staring at their phone. There was a large TV screen on one wall showing some game show. The receptionists sat in a small off shoot of the office. They were very attentive, fast, and professional! Though still hesitant, I was somewhat at ease. After a wait of a few minutes I was led by a dental assistant into the "operating area". The room they put me in was sparse but professional. Super clean. Computers and brand new modern dental equipment. Unfortunately there was a large TV in the room showing a kind of MTV kind of show. The history of rock and roll. Oh, how I hate the music from the 1950s! HATE. Anyway --- Dr. Park came into the room. He was young, smart, and professional. He looked at my x-rays and examined my teeth. He agreed that the tooth ( left upper molar that had root canal a long time ago ) needed to be pulled. He explained everything to me. The whole process of extraction and implantation. The dental assistant sent me off to billing. I received an itemized proposal which was 50% of the Manhattan guy. Fifty - percent! An appointment was made for the extraction and to make a long story short --- everything went very smoothly. Two weeks later I returned to have the extraction. They even called me the next day to check up on my condition. And now for the implant! I am almost looking forward to it...Almost. read more

Wisdom tooth extraction was quick and painless! Some pressure and a really odd pulling sensation, but nothing like the horror stories you hear! Less than one hour from walking in the door to being in the car on the way home. Kudos to Dr. Fanti and his team, as well as the front desk staff who eased my fears and treated me so kindly!! read more

Needed a tooth pulled in an emergency and called the office they were able to accommodate on the same day and offered excellent care and support. The dr explained everything and followed up with the implant. The office was clean and the staff were kind. Dr park was awesome if possible make sure to get an appointment with him as he is a great oral surgeon. read more

Dr. Park removed extra teeth that I was born with and the process could not have gone smoother. This was over two separate procedures and each recovery went extremely well. The office is alsp very friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend Dr. Park enough and I completely trust him with any future needed treatment. read more

Dr. Capuano took out my wisdom tooth 15 years ago. Just yesterday he took out all four of my 16 year old daughter's. I am amazed by how smoothly everything went. The prescriptions were ready for pick up by the time she was awake. The staff called to check up on her. She has some discomfort but very little real pain. I recommend him unreservedly. read more

Dr. Steven Schwartz of the PJS office pulled the wrong wisdom tooth out of my mouth in June 2021. There were three assistants in the room and none of them caught on. Did anyone read my chart? Or look at my xrays? Or pay attention during my consultation appointment? I wish I didn't have the sweet air or my headphones in so I could've caught on before it was too late. 10/10 WOULD NEVER recommend this office. read more

Joseph Fanti walked in to exam room , put some gloves on Looked at my bad tooth. Then goes to stating that workers comp will find ways to deny your work. I said they already sent authorizations for removal, bone graph, and post. He said that's sight on seen we need pre authorization. I say are you going to do anything or not? Am I wasting time? Stood up to leave. He says sit down Mr. Temple. I was at door turned around said no reason to sit down if you're not willing to do anything. He's goes on saying insurance won't pay then you will be on the hook. I said once again they already said they would pay. No no he says. I'm like how do you know this? " I've been doing this a long time. I know". So I go outside call compensation insurance company. They said yes all is covered not sure we're the problem lies or where communication is getting lost. So I go back in and I was told that the wimpy ass dentist said I got in his face so I'm not comfortable doing his tooth extraction. Instead of admitting he was wrong he lies and said I got in his face We are in a dental room. Not much room and when I got up I went for the door. Then the insurance company says they didn't take X-ray today. Well I'm not paying them. So they sent in old X-rays and tried to get paid for them. One good thing Daya at front desk is an exceptional lady and works hard to get things done the right way. read more

I was 8 months pregnant with an infected wisdom tooth coming from a different office where no one wanted to work on me for what felt like liability reasons. The girl on the phone didn't know me but immediately felt empathic towards me. She fit me in within two days as a new patient and put me with Dr. Capuano, the head doctor! Dr. Lynn did my surgery and he was so nice and funny yet very professional. Everything was a pleasure from start to finish and I'm doing very well. Can't thank them enough. read more

the gloves are off, the wisdom teeth are out...what you on about? I have put off getting my wisdom teeth extracted for 11 years because there has been no pain and there were only potential complications, yet after constant urging, I figured the fewer teeth, the fewer potential future issues, so two sides of the same coin (wisdom teeth are vestigial anyways). I was referred here to Dr. Park for a consult, who echoed previous sentiments, so I had all four yanked as a day-after-Christmas present TO MYSELF, and the procedure went smoothly. There was some subsequent insurance-related confusion throughout the process but it was all ironed out by a patient staff. read more

Dr Gish is amazing! He pulled my wisdom tooth out in one minute. No pain. I was so afraid going in there. I have never had a tooth pulled before. He was very kind and reassuring. It was the simplest and easiest dental procedure I ever had. It was so simple. Pilar his assistant was very kind and reassuring as well. Front desk staff was so nice too. This is the hands down the most professional oral surgeon clinic on Long Island, and I am so lucky to Dr.Mario Capuano as my surgeon, he is the best in the business! I needed work done(extraction and dental implant)on my L19 but had put it off for the past 12 years, and finally I decided to get the work done and I was lucky to have him as my surgeon. He knew I was in pain so he had his staff worked quickly with my Insurance and making sure emergency surgery and implant was done in the same day to save me another painful cut into my gum, during post surgery check ups, he was incredibly patient and caring, offering his advices and suggestion so everything was done smoothly, and no complications. read more

The place is a little tricky to get to, it's located on Middle Country Road just past route 83 going East, and just before the merge heading toward Coram. The parking lot is a nightmare, looks as if it was last paved in 1950. But that's where the bad stuff ends. Inside you'll find 2 receptionists with pleasant, professional demeanors. Once you fill out the forms and payment/ insurance information they call you inside where you'll find state of the art, super modern equipment, very organized, clean examination rooms and a friendly professional staff. X-rays are a cinch, no waiting around for positioning, then photo, positioning then... while your anxiety level increases. Instead you stand in front of a machine which revolves around your head and takes a pic of your entire mouth, results are instantaneous. Dr Park examined the X-ray results showed me the problem and extracted my wisdom tooth in less than 3 minutes with no pain whatsoever, - and he wasn't even rushing! Filling out the forms took more time than the extraction. I'm writing this review 6 hours after the procedure, the local anesthetic has long since worn off and still no pain or swelling. Excellent staff and dentist, if you have to have a tooth pulled this is the place. - highly recommended! read more

Every single person in this office is wonderful. These girls at the desk understand that When your stressed, it's important that they are just as pleasant and good at their job as the surgeons. If it wasn't required, I would not even give this business one star. I had an appointment last week at this office for my daughter. As it was our first time in the office, I was asked to come in a little early for our appointment. We arrived about ten minutes early and completed the paperwork and within a few minutes were taken into the back into an exam room. After a quick xray with the nurse, we were left to wait. Forty-five minutes later, we were still waiting. I exited the room to use the ladies room and a gentleman in an office down the hall said he would be with us in a few minutes. I can only assume that he was the dentist/surgeon since he did not introduce himself. Well twenty minutes later, nobody had come. At this point, not only had I left my own job 2 hours early to get to this appointment early (based on the inconvenient office hours of the dentist; no evening appointments ) but now my daughter was also late to her own job. When we went to the front desk to tell the staff we were leaving, I was given insincere platitudes and a hefty attitude from one staff member. I was informed "Well this is an emergency office and the doctor had a surgery". I think that if that is the case, then maybe you should inform your patients who are now waiting for the doctor to complete an unscheduled surgery so that they have the option of rescheduling their own appointment. Overall I think the situation was handled poorly and because of it, I will never be back. I also informed my orthodontist who had recommended this office to me that he should rethink recommending this office to any of his own patients. read more

Over the last twenty years my family and I have used this office for various oral surgeries from extractions to single dental implants. Dr. Capuano was always the first to be recommended by our family dentist. Just recently within the past year and a half I have had the pleasure of being recommended to dr. Gish who works hand in hand with dr. Koeppel in east setauket, ny. A cosmetic dentist and a great one at that! I was facing a complete full mouth hybridge dental implants. And this is when I was introduced to dr. Gish, the oral surgeon who would be working hand in hand with my cosmetic dentist, dr. Koeppel. Well I can not express my sincere satisfaction, with dr. Gish enough. When you have this type of work done a full mouth restoration, we often forget the behind the scenes people. This doctor is not to be forgotten!!! He is the one who does all the placing of my implants, working with my bones and where to place the implants as to have my best results, so that dr koeppel can work his magic. I want people to know how wonderful he is, I was very anxious and from my exam, to the extractions, to the implants I could not be happier He explained everything he was doing, I felt no pain he was always accommodating to me. I would recommend him to everyone, he is great His staff each and everyone of them were wonderful, pleasant and professional. They are a fine well oiled TEAM. I can smile again. Dr. Gish and Dr, Koeppel worked hand in hand no communication gaps the oral surgeon has to be as great as your cosmetic dentist. Thank you for all you have done for me. I recently had all four wisdom teeth extracted with Dr. David Park in the LIOMFS Sayville office. I had heard so many wisdom teeth horror stories before going in for this surgery, but I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of recovering from Dr. Park's work! I would recommend Dr. Park to anyone needing this surgery. He initially budgeted himself 1 hour for my surgery due to the complexity of the impaction of my lower wisdom teeth. However, he completed the entire procedure in under 30 to 35 minutes. His incisions appear very straight and clean in my mouth, and the suturing was done very well. For me, my swelling was minimal and I was back to my daily routine by the end of the second day of recovery. He is a DMD and MD, and a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology. I underwent IV sedation for my procedure and felt that I was dosed appropriately and felt like myself again within a half hour after waking from surgery. At the consult before my surgery, Dr. Park offered the pros and cons of both having my teeth removed and not having them removed. He described in detail any complications I may have afterwards. His office staff was very professional, and explained to me the proper care of my surgical site after the procedure. I was monitored during the procedure with a 3-lead EKG, blood pressure cuff, and pulse oximeter. As someone who is also in the healthcare field, I was very impressed by Dr. Park and recommend him for any wisdom teeth extractions! read more
