Wow!!! Wanted to stop by here for a quick breakfast and saw this on Yelp. I'm super happy to have come here and try out not only the matcha, but their bakery items too! There were only a couple of their garlic cream croissants left and some bakery items were sold out. There was a line but it wasn't too long or bad. The lady at the front was super friendly and also helped describe what type of matchas they use. I chose the top choice (started with a K) and it was a more balanced type. It was sweetened with my choice of oat milk, honey, and vanilla syrup... the taste was amazing! My boyfriend and I shared one drink and we enjoyed it so much. It was so delicious. I wanted more matcha after that! It was smooth and creamy. The garlic cream croissant was also crispy and soo fun to peel and enjoy per bite. I loved it a lot. It was super tasty. 10/10 spot and the wait for the matcha is worth it! Would love to come back again here with friends. The space is exceptionally clean and cozy, featuring a modern, aesthetic interior with a handful of tables that make it a great spot to enjoy a drink or get some work done. The milk, however, overshadowed the matcha and made the drink taste a bit milkier than I had anticipated. Cute little coffee place. Seems like alot of college students come here. I have been wanting jasmine coffee for along time ever since i tried it. And leaflet has it. You can Taste the jasmine in the coffee. So good. Furious george was also amazing. You can taste the banana and it doesnt even have the banana cream foam. It seems like they will remake you drink if something doesnt taste right as well because they asked if it tastes good. But im not sure since i loved mines. They have the cutest pikachu chillin on a shelf. If you eat or drink inside, there is a plave to return your cup or dish. No parking in front of store but you can park on the sides or in the parking structure. Thrres no bathroom inside but you can use the one inside the parking structure. read more

The coffee shop started at farmers markets and now the shop has the current brick-and-mortar location. [Parking]: There is a free parking structure behind the plaza so parking shouldn't be an issue; however, I did have to drive up to the third level of the structure to find an available parking spot on Saturday morning. [Amenity]: Not a huge coffee house with few outdoor chairs and six indoor tables. The shop was not crowded at 10 AM on Saturday, so it didn't take long for me to receive my order. There is no restroom inside the cafe, but keys for the outdoor men's and women's restrooms are available at the cashier counter. [Menu]: Unlike other matcha shops, this coffee house offers three different varieties of ceremonial-grade matcha (Kagoshima, Chiran, or Asanoka) from Fukuoka, Japan for customers to pick. Where did the flavor go? I've been to Leaflet a few times, the last time sometime last year or early this year during winter. I've only had the Luxurious George (pretty good but $8+), both hot and cold, and told myself today is the day I'll try something different. I came in around 10:20 AM (Wednesday mid June), and it was pretty busy -- all seats were occupied (there's actually a good amount of indoor seating for the small unit), but there wasn't much of a queue, just two people in front of me. It was actually the only time I've seen it so busy, maybe because it's summer and the morning? During my past visits, I would stop by in the afternoon. Today I ordered The Blue Butterfly. It was beautifully layered. I gave it a good mix, and initially I tasted the flavors, but as I kept drinking it just tasted... bland. Mostly milk and barely any sweetness, which was kind of good, but I didn't modify anything (milk, sweetness, ice), so I wonder what lower levels of sweetness taste like. Prices range from $7 to $10, a bit above average compared to other tea and coffee places. Leaflet isn't typically my go-to, but it is convenient because it's nearby and they have early hours. But today was pretty disappointing. I don't know if there's been a change in their process or ingredients, or if it was just the drink I ordered, but I don't think I would come back soon. I was lucky to find parking immediately in front of the unit behind Leaflet. It was a 15-minute spot, but I was ordering for to go anyway. This is by far my favorite coffee house in LA. I recommend it to everyone I talk to and I am constantly walking around with a cup from here in my hand. The drinks are incredible, the lattes are rich with flavor and espresso. My personal recommendations are the 'Of Spice and Bees' and the 'Dear Jasmine'. Not to mention their croissants are flaky, warm, and tasty. The staff are incredible. Kind, quick, and likeable. I always feel at home when I walk in. And whether I grab my fix on my way to work or I sit for hours doing work on my laptop, I never get tired of this place. The music that plays makes the whole place feel cozy. The decor is super cute and I love their commitment to their community seen in the flyers posted around of different public events and community outreach. Super cute shop with limited seating inside. There are a couple seats out front too though. The shop is in like the middle of a plaza and the parking wraps around it. It was pretty packed when I got there on a Saturday morning but we got lucky and found a spot near the entrance. Everytime I come to this area I searched for a new coffee spot to try. Yesterday after we went golfing we stopped by this cute little coffee shop. I love that it has a lot of parking at the back. Small little coffee shop that has a wonderful and sweet staff. I got the "V for Vanilla" coffee with the Vietnamese style espresso and it was soooo damn good. I literally drank my coffee in less than 10 minutes. I got it 100% sweet which I was scared of and I asked the staff if it was on the sweeter side and she said it shouldnt be as sweet and I'm glad I listened because the sweetness was perfect for me. Service was fast, staff was really really nice and sweet. And the coffee place is so clean and cute. I love how homey it is in there. I would want to try other things on their menu. Was driving through the area and looking for my morning coffee and decided to stop here. Leaflet has some amazing flavor combos to choose from. I ultimately decided on the "furious George" which is a banana and vanilla latte. I love the ability to customize your drink. I was able to adjust sweetness, milk, and even pick which of the espresso roasts I wanted. They explained to me the difference between the two and how the roast impacts the flavors in the drink. I went with the Vietnam roast which brings more of the flavor out in the banana. I also dropped my sweetness down to 50% and it was perfect! Not too sweet but the banana comes through. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The space is cute, but small. Not great for large groups to congregate and hang out but enough space to sit and enjoy your drink with a friend or two or to do some light work or studying. Cute little spot with unique options! I got the Kagoshima matcha which was solid (rich, balanced, moderate astringency according to their menu). I personally prefer a higher matcha to milk ratio, but it was still solid! I appreciated the other matcha options to choose from (i.e. Kyoto, Okumidori), which made it a fun experience rather than having one standard matcha option. Heard this was a top 10 coffee shop in LA , so I was vert excited to try it. I tired the Lavender Days and Into the London Fog lattes. Both of these drinks were exceptional; exactly what you expect them to taste like. The Lavender Days is a lavender matcha latte and it was made perfectly. Lavender and matcha notes stood out but held their own without overpowering one another. The Into the London Fog latte was amazing , I never tasted a latte like it. Cold-brewed earl grey and a vanilla black tea is such a good mix. The service was good , orders were taken fast and drinks were also made fast but with care! Also, there's a large parking structure in its plaza. Concerning service, Leaflet Coffee House (Monrovia Park) is surprisingly stellar and distinct. Staff felt extremely friendly as they spoke softly with a regular, bright smile. I can easily imagine customers submitting "Five Stars" for only its lovely service. I ordered the Furious George ($7.75 - iced). It took three minutes for completion. Fairly quick. As mentioned, I did not enjoy my Furious George. It lacks utility while also tasting somewhat bland. It's like "coffee" for people who dislike coffee. The drink is not bitter nor coarse; rather, its liquid felt more comparable to milk tea. Strangely enough, this beverage's crunchy banana chip was the highlight since it carried actual flavor. Regarding ambiance, Leaflet Coffee House (Monrovia Park) is exemplary. Despite its small location and dingy plaza, this small business felt like a college student's cherished secret. This location had airy ventilation, customer wifi with password, & several electric wall sockets to charge devices. It's also very clean as light upbeat pop music plays. The location is also gorgeous as its flowers cascade near its ceiling. I also appreciated the cold water station by the counter. Unfortunately, my biggest gripe will be the lack of indoor restroom; they only offer a restroom key for the parking garage's restroom. Regardless, the pleasant & welcoming ambiance at Leaflet Coffee House (Monrovia Park) is a big strongpoint. Overall, Leaflet Coffee House (Monrovia Park) offers outstanding service and ambiance. However, its Furious George ($7.75) is very disappointing with its bland taste and weak caffeine. My go-to matcha spot in the SGV! I love hanging out here whether it's alone or with friends and enjoying their iced matcha lattes. My favorite so far has been the Chiran matcha latte. I love getting it with oat milk, simple syrup, half sweet. Perfection! Everyone that works here is also soooo nice. Very welcoming place overall and the vibes are chill. Sometimes it gets a little warm in there on hot days and they don't always have the AC on high but otherwise, very nice place to hang out for a bit. Seating is limited - inside, there's about four tables for 2 people and two spots for if you have a slightly bigger group (like if you need to accommodate 4-5 people, I'd say.) They also have a few tables out front too. Every time I come, it seems popular as a place to just grab your drink and go so seating is usually available. It's confirmed, one of my top three coffee shops in sgv! (And it's won me over more than many trendy LA shops in my book too) All the baristas are always super sweet and they take extra care for each order received, I noticed this right away when I discovered them last year! Other places tend to rely heavily on specialty drinks(like einspanners) and don't source the ingredients with as much thoughtfulness as they do. As a regular, I appreciate that their espresso is strong but also smooth and when I order a hot latte it's actually hot and not lukewarm, and the foam isn't too frothy but just the right amount of density. You can tell they try to perfect every step and as someone who spends all their money on coffee, I reallyyyyyyy appreciate this. The plus side is that they always open super early and you can order online for pickup(I've yet to do that but sometimes when I show up at opening there's orders already in the queue ahead of me!) All that aside, their matcha selection has got me in a chokehold, I will try and pace myself when I get a craving for it but will always come back to order their chiran. I really wanted to gatekeep this place but...alas... it's too good to keep a secret. Leaflet has the best matcha latte in all of SGV. They have 3 matcha options, each from different cultivars. My favorite is the okumidori, which only comes in a short size. If you're unsure of what to order, definitely ask the staff working! They're super helpful and very friendly. What stands out at Leaflet, besides the matcha quality, is the amount of ways you can customize your matcha. Personally, I prefer it half sweet with simple syrup. If you're dining in, they'll even put your drink in a glass cup which is a classy touch. I do recommend staying for a bit, reading a nice book, because the tables never really fill up even though it's a small space. I didn't even know we had a cute coffee shop like this in Monterey Park! I just walked in because I had a doctor's appointment nearby. The workers were nice and welcoming and my cappuccino was perfect! I saw they have a bunch of specialty drinks so might get one of those next time. Really cute cafe tucked away in a strip mall in Monterey Park. There's a few tables for studying, along with bench seating. The atmosphere was pretty quiet, but I assume it was finals week at East Lac. I got the La Vie en Rose with 25% sugar and oat milk. It was delicious! The rose flavor was light, so I think 50% sugar would've enhanced it more. Rose is such a strong flavor, so I was happy with how it was and its contrast with the bitterness of the coffee. Nearly all of the patrons of this spot were grab & go so I think there's slight potential for this spot to be your next study/work spot. Luxurious George (3.5) The name grabbed my attention but the drink was alright. It's a banana jasmine matcha latte, with the jasmine flavor being light and the banana being very very light. It really allows for the matcha flavor to shine through, however I felt that it could have been something more. I wasn't super impressed by the drink but I will definitely be back to give their coffee a shot since they seem to be popular for a reason! Garlic croissant (4.5) I gobbled this up real quick. We got the Dear Jasmine and Luxurious George drinks. Dear Jasmine 8/10 It has a nice Jasmine floral flavor and was also perfectly sweet with the brown sugar. Refreshing and not too overpowering flavor of Jasmine. Luxurious George 7/10 It has a milky aftertaste and a slightly strong taste of banana. If you really like bananas, this one is for you. The service was quick and friendly as we got our order. Interior is cute with hanging origami and lots of lavender colored decor. There are some tables and chairs perfect for studying and having a chill hangout with a friend or two. Will come back for more drinks! read more

Leaflet is always such a pleasant place to visit and to get coffee! The drinks are amazing, delicious, and has a variety of flavors. They are always consistent with a lot of quality and attention to detail. The thing I enjoy the most is the service. The workers here are always so friendly and nice! They are super courteous and helpful if you need anything or have any questions. One time I was in a hurry and called in to place an order - they were ready when I got there so I managed to get in and out with no issues, and I greatly appreciate them for that! The place is very nice and calming if you want to stay there to work and enjoy your coffee. Leaflet is a must visit if you like coffee! read more

I was a tad confused on the parking situation when I arrived but I was lucky that it was very early in the AM and it was not full. There are many small businesses in the area so I could imagine this being pretty packed had I came at a different time. It is a cute little shop with seating inside, there is not outside area to sit down at. They have keys for the restroom which I didn't use but seen a lady ask for the key so there are no restrooms inside the shop but they do have some available for use in the little shopping area. For food I ordered a Ham & Cheese croissant had it not been a bit burnt I think it would have tasted pretty good. For my drink I ordered a Furious George with oatmilk regular sweet. This drink was Amazeballs! Definitely lots of yummy flavor and the banana was delicious! 10/10 for me. They were very busy and only had two girls working that Friday morning so i understand they worked quickly to fulfill orders. I will definitely be back to try more drinks and hopefully not anymore burnt snacks lol :) read more
