The technician on site identified himself as Fernando. He came in super hyped up at 3:20 p.m. The…read morejob I requested service for was the master bedroom toilet which was running water constantly. The pump/fill valve needed to be replaced. He quoted $225. Agreed. I asked for quote for unclogging 2 bathroom sinks. He said $100 each. He and I both knew that there was nothing major wrong with them. So I asked that he do both for $100. He agreed. I didn't like that he was cussing but figured I'd let it slide because maybe he had a hard day, etc. But as it turns out he was just very rude and disrespectful the whole time. I allowed him to finish the job. At the end when I asked about his company's veteran/military discount he became visibly angry, turned red, got loud and insisted that he already gave me a discount of $100 for the 1 sink that he only pulled up the stopper and pulled hair out of. I explained that that was a negotiated price that he agreed to and that the discount is calculated to decrease the total amount due at the end. He disagreed and was very argumentative. I told him that was fine and I'd just call to the company office and ask how much the military discount was. At that point he stwpped outside the door and said loudly $25.00. He knew I had already sent the payment $327.06 via Zelle. He told me to call the office and the owner/manager Juan Ortiz would take care of it. I called the office right away, Ortiz answered. I explained everything. He said he would talk to the tech when he got back. He called me back later in evening first insisting that he was trying to use Zelle and I kept getting a text saying that I needed to sign up with Zelle. Red flag because I never have an issue with my Zelle sending nor receiving as evidenced by the fact that I had just sent them money a couple of hours ago. So Mr. Ortiz came out to hand deliver the $25 the next day. Long story short. He showed up wearing sunglasses that covered half his face and never removed them. He was dismissive and unconcerned when I told him how the tech acted who represented his company. Just kept saying he had a long conversation with him and he's sure he will not do it again. His tone, demeanor and physical body language said everything loud and clear. When I saw that his answers to my simple questions were inconsistent I knew he was lying to my face. First, he said, "yes" the tech denied the allegations. Then later at the end of the convo when I pointed out that he had been inconsistent in related whether or not the tech admitted or denied his actions he said, "I never asked him". So what was the point of delaying and telling me that he talked to him if he never even asked him if he did it. All of it was shady and suspicious so I told him to leave. I have 2 witnesses to the plumber cussing and being disrespectful and that I had to ask him to stop. I will never do business with Flowpipe again but I think that everyone deserves to know what kind of business they are dealing with to make an informed decision to choose a better company that is not trying to rip you off. Their prices are on the high-end for service. The owner agreed with the Tech that the price for unclogging the sink by pulling the stopper out and clearing the hair inside was $100. Other plumbers have previously done it for free when they were already out on site even if they had to use a snake to unclog. Shop around and find a reputable company.

It seems like every year I have to call a plumber out to repair a leak in the water sprinkler…read moresystem/ shut off valve contraption that is ugly as sun and site right outside my front door. The top part has rings inside and they crack or warp. Last year the entire pipe cracked. What a pain. So this year was no different- and then to top it off, my front yard faucet AND the back one too were leaking! This year I called Union Plumbing. What I love about them right off the bat, is that a nice lady (yes a live person) answered my call instead of an answering machine- and it was the weekend. She told me the earliest they could get someone out was today but the would squeeze me in if there was a cancellation. They had a time window of when they were expecting arrive and I got a text message the night before as a reminder and another one this morning when they were on their way. Two really nice guys showed up and the showed me everything and explained everything. They had a tool that can sense water/ a leak inside the wall and that was a blessing- although Luciano would have loved it if these guys started cutting a hole in the side wall so he could have a doggie door! So they replaced the part, had me run the sprinkler for two minutes and rechecked for any leaks- it is nice and dry. Then they went o to work on the faucets, front and back, and replaced parts there also. Everything is nice and snug now! Best part is that when I went to check in on Yelp, they had a 5% discount coupon for the labor costs!!!! This came in handy today for sure. All in all, I am thankful they were able to see what they needed without tearing holes in the wall. They were on time and the service from the phone call I placed to them taking care of my property (rolling up the hoses) was A+++.

I had used this provider for many years and this week needed their services again. Sadly I have…read morediscovered they are no longer in business. The phone number is answered but I'm told it's a wrong number. I've tried texting only to get the same response, wrong number. I googled and found that the owner passed away in January of 2021 so I can only guess that they are no longer in business. I am now looking for another plumber that I hope will be as good as Cesar.

So far I have done business with them 3 times...Our tenant called us because the newly installed…read moredishwasher was not draining and water was leaking outside near the laundry room. Cesar went to the house that afternoon and it turned out that the handyman had not removed the knockout on the garbage disposal before hooking up the dishwasher - it does say to do that on a sticker in big red letters, that you have to remove to install it. At any rate, if we had been in town, I would have installed it myself. The water leak turned out to be due to the water heater element overheating as it was at the end of its life cycle. Not mad-it was the original one and held up for 15 years. Service call was $75, Cesar allowed me to purchase the gas water heater from Lowe's (I found a $50 off coupon and was able to apply it to a sale item) and he went to pick it up. He did give me a military discount on the labor which took the total from $410 to $320. He also installed a drain pan at no additional cost. I found the right one on amazon, but it was on back order and would not have arrived in time for the installation. Our tenant called a couple of weeks ago to tell me that El Paso Water had contacted her because of unusually high water consumption, which pointed to a leak. It was a nobrainer for me to call Cesar. He thoroughly investigated all possibilities. He fine-tuned some minor water wasters. The major culprit turned out to be the plumbing for the pool equipment. The total with military discount was $720, which included the 2 days he spent looking for and then fixing the leak, as well as replacing the cartridge in the master bath shower as it was defective and the temp could no longer be adjusted. I thought this was more than reasonable as I was very much worried that it would be sky high. While the nature of this business dictates by appointment only, Cesar is very responsive and ALWAYS calls back if he cannot answer the phone and you leave a message. He also works with you and sends photos and the invoice if you cannot be there in person. I find his positive customer service attitude very refreshing in an area where we have been often left high and dry waiting on someone to get back to us or making appointments and then not showing up.
