Called Beto over the weekend to help repair a broken shutoff valve under the bathroom sink and install a new faucet. He didn't respond to the Yelp Quote Request so I called on Sunday, scheduling later an appointment the following day. I called on Monday to confirm we were still good for the afternoon slot but he said they were running late and asked to reschedule to the next day. Next day he texted me about an hour earlier than anticipated to say they were headed over; not a big deal as we were available. He and his crew were professional, quick, listened to concerns and finished the job, cleaning up the area to spotless condition. They did exactly what needed doing and did it well. So scheduling was not a strong suit for them but they did the job well, which is really what you want in a plumber. Thank you Beto! read more

The plumber was " The plumbing guys" who over charged me a bunch, didn't finish the job, promised to return in two days but never happened. Never called Professional Plumbing but was asked to rate them as the plumber I used by Yelp. I apologize to Professional Plumbing as yelp tripped me up. I'm sorry to say it but I wasn't impressed with Professional Plumbing. I don't feel like they were as professional as they could've been. The man I spoke to said he would show up between 11 and 1 the next day. He showed up at around 4! I was feeling under the weather so I almost asked him not to even show up when he finally called. No apologies or anything for reaching out so much later. I thought he was going to fix our toilet but unfortunately he wasn't able to. He used the snake tool and wasn't able to do anything. We had already done that before and it didn't work. He charged me $150 for this! He said he could remove the toilet to see if anything was under it for $600. Seriously?? The toilet isn't even worth that! We've removed toilets in the past so I guess we'll have to do this again. Between getting ready to remodel the house and waiting for company from out of town, this isn't what I wanted to deal with on a Friday afternoon. After reading all of the positive Yelp reviews about Professional Plumbing, I expected a better experience. I can't recommend Professional Plumbing. This company charges 50 to 90 more just for a service call. They were late by 30 minutes. I was told there was no block, just construction issues in the neighborhood. The first time we called Professional Plumbing was for a leak we had that sprang up near our water meter (on our side) at the curb. They came out quickly and made the repair very swiftly and didn't charge and arm and a leg like some of their big name competitors. Ok so Friday the 13th came this month of April and normally neither my wife or I give it any thought but this time it came with a vengeance as our upstairs bathroom was leaking water and it was seeping through to the first floor. I called to have someone come out to service our water heater when the pilot went out and all of my troubleshooting didn't resolve anything. They picked up the phone immediately, had availability right away, and showed up exactly when they said they would. They were transparent with diagnostics, cost of repairs, and the cost/benefit of alternative solutions. When Beto couldn't find a new part for me, he found an old valve and came back to install it within just a couple hours. I replaced my water in Jan 2015. I questioned if I got a new one to begin with because there was no labeling I am used to seeing re: serial number, date installed, etc. For a couple of months, the water has not been hot but here in El Paso - during the summer - it is not a real issue. Then all of a sudden it was super cold, not even luke warm like it normally was. Come to find out that it kept shutting off. I live in an older home in the Loretto area and this can make repairs challenging. When I call someone with those fancy fleet of trucks - I get put on a list and spend most of my day waiting and it was one of those who installed the last one. When I Googled plumbers in El Paso, they came up and excellent ratings and I do pay close attention to the recent feedback. It is hard to find a good plumber in El Paso. In fact, most average 3 to 3.5 stars - they had almost five stars. So after discussing my options, I decided to replace the water heater - 1425 (tax included).....some might feel that might be a bit too much but it came with a warranty which the other one did not have, plus sometimes peace of mind can cost you some. I appreciated that he was responsive - called with in 15 minutes of my initial online inquiry. Came 1/2 hour early, called me before, and was gone by 2, maybe sooner. He walked me through everything, showing and explaining things to me. He seemed to really care about the customer. He seems to be an honest and sincere person. read more

Well I didn't realize it at the time but the contractor had broken the main line at the street end. I called other plumbers but they were all busy.
