I can across Mel last September when I was looking for a photographer for my maternity shoot. I love the fact that she had a bundle that was maternity & newborn. I'm so glad that I ended up going with her. All I had to do was show up and she would take care of the rest. My hair & makeup were done in studio (girl's are fabulous) I had a vision, I told Mel about it & she went above and beyond exceeding it. Oh I love Mel!!! What an amazing photographer. Hubby found her on IG through a friends page. She did my maternity shoot (it was amazing) and our baby boys newborn shoot. She is excellent and I definitely recommend her. She's such a sweetheart and knows what she is doing. She is located in NJ not far of a drive from queens. She has great packages and she is upfront and clear about everything. No hidden fees. Her studio is small but very lovely. She has everything you possibly can think of to use for props. Blankets, hats, wagons, bows, maternity dresses so no need to buy anything. You can bring your own props if you would like. For my maternity shoot I was there for a few hrs. I did in studio pics and outdoor. No extra cost. I felt like a model. She had beautiful dresses and I couldn't decide what to pick. No worries, she has every single color you can think of. We went to a local park a few minutes away from her studio. I picked out 3 dresses and a few head pieces and off we went. She knows how to position you and makes you feel so comfortable. Once we were done hubby and I went for a quick bite to eat while she put the pictures together for a quick view. We came back and she went through all the pictures she took and I selected the ones I wanted. What a long but amazing day. Now fast fwd and I'm back but no belly this time. I have a newborn!!!! Only a few days old. She recommends you come with your LO around 14 days old. It's just much easier to pose them and they stay still. She keeps the room very very warm for the babies so if you show up, wear a t shirt. She puts them in all the cute outfits ( yes my baby also had his model moment lol) and I just stood by and watched half asleep standing up and sitting on couch( new parents know that feeling). Mel is so talented and hands down the best in my opinion. She is so creative and always puts together the best setups. Not only is she great with the babies and children she is an awesome soul and has great energy. Amazed by their work and professionalism. The studio is like a dream closet for all babies! With every imaginable outfit and accessories available. They handled my baby so well and everything was very transparent. I was able to watch them work the entire time. Definitely a cozy feel in their studio made me feel comfortable throughout the process and explained the background and outfits she intended to use before proceeding. Melz did my daughter's newborn photo shoot in 2017, and my nephew's the month prior. She is seriously a baby whisperer. My 7 day old (at the time) pretty much slept through the entire photo shoot. She even managed to get her in the most adorable "froggy" pose without having to hold onto my baby. It was incredible. She provided all the props and outfits so as a tired mom of a newborn I didn't need to worry about bringing anything with me. The photo shoot included several different backgrounds. Her studio was very clean and comfy. We were, and still are, in love with all our photos! Melz is professional, friendly, and hands down, one of the best newborn/child photographers out there. Melz is absolutely amazing at what she does. She's very helpful and professional. I first booked her two years ago for my maternity shoot. I ended up going into labor early and I wasn't sure what was going to happen as far as my photoshoot. She was right there every step of the way and very understanding. My newborn pictures came out amazing. From this day forward she has a loyal client in me. I will not only stick by her but I would recommend her to anyone. She is going to give you every penny worth. She's amazing with the babies and she makes you feel right at home. Even her office is a whole wardrobe. I love her and all her staff. It may sound weird but I feel like part of the family. 5 starts isn't enough! I was following Melz on Instagram for about a year just admiring her work. Once I found out I was pregnant I knew I wanted to do all my photo shoots with her!! Melz and her husband are truly amazing at what they do. I recently had a newborn photoshoot with them for my baby girl and the way they took care of her and all the detail they put in to her little outfits and poses was just above and beyond my expectations. I was so nervous that my baby would throw a tantrum during the shoot but Melz is a baby whisperer! My baby was sound asleep the whole time. I couldn't believe it! I am so thankful to both of them for the beautiful experience and I honestly can't wait to work with them again to capture more moments of my daughter. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a maternity, newborn, and birthday shoot for their children! read more

Melz is a talented and outstanding photographer and her work is beyond expectations. She is very professional, super nice, and very detailed. She loves newborns, and has this absolutely amazing and nurturing way of moving them and connecting with them. You can tell she is a mom and a good one. As a result her work is perfect. My primary concern after researching studios in New Jersey was to find something a little more creative than the traditional newborn pictures. Melz' reviews and social media accounts/pictures don't lie. Her work is perfect and very unique. She has an amazing super clean and very well equipped studio, with a huge selection of props and cute outfits, she offers such a wide selection of options to pick from so that each and every picture is unique and very personal. While she is super booked considering her amazing reputation, she did her outmost to get us in, at short notice and we are extremely grateful for her flexibility and responsiveness and that of her team. She worked with me for hours prior to the session to create a unique and tailored selection of options for our daughter, she listened and researched carefully what we wanted/didn't want; and the end result is simply outstanding. Melz' husband Mike works with her throughout the session, and he is so professional and kind and does a fantastic work filming the session and working hand in hand with his wife while she creates the scenes. These 2 are an amazing and fun pair! Sade who works with them is also very helpful and sweet. My husband and I are extremely impressed and thankful for Melz' work and dedication throughout the long session; and if we could give her 10 stars, we would! 5 stars all the way around. Mel is incredibly professional and creative. My husband and I have had the pleasure of working with her throughout our little man growing (now one year old). From newborn, to outdoor family portraits, and finally his one year milestone photos - I've never cherished photographs more. Do not worry or stress about a session because you will not find a more prepared photographer. Minus my son's newborn photos, he wasn't in the greatest mood in the beginning of his sessions - Mel and her husband (who are COUPLE GOALS) cheered him right up and drew him into his session creating the most incredible memories for my family. Melissa is a very professional and understanding photographer. She did my maternity and my newborn's photographs and both times were a great experience. I expected the photographs to be great but they were more than that when we received them.
