We had our wedding here, and I have nothing but incredible things to say about Adam, Adriana,…read moreRachel, and the entire RHF team! We were lucky enough to have our wedding on a gorgeous day in June at the prairie barn, and we were completely spoiled with the attentiveness of the bartending, groundskeeping, and planning team. Guests absolutely loved our venue -- from the air-conditioned barn, stunning tent and table rentals, cocktail hour patio, fire pits, and luscious lawn that we got married on in front of a big oak tree! We had the property completely to ourselves from Friday-Sunday to set up, party, and clean up, which was an added bonus and stress-saver. I would recommend this venue to anybody looking to get married in a modern barn or farm venue. Since then, RHF has opened up the Nest, their kitchen & bar, which we also have loved frequently this past season!

We went here for Sunday brunch on their second week of service. This restaurant is located on M-52…read morejust north of Chelsea. It is back off the road on the Robin Hills complex. We were seated at our table and given the cocktail menu. I ordered the rosemary greyhound. It was refreshing and had just the right amount of rosemary in it. They have a full bar and others at my table had mimosas or bourbon. The brunch menu had many choices, all looked amazing. At my table we had the short rib hash, the boursin cheese egg sandwich, the salmon egg scramble & the sausage, egg and pimento sandwich. Everything was excellent. The hash had amazing roasted potatoes, a nice amount of meat and two beautiful fried eggs on top. Actually, all the dishes came with a side of roasted potatoes that were wonderful. One of the things that I think would really elevate this restaurant is if their orange juice was fresh squeezed. However, it was quite good. We will be coming back soon to try the Italian grinder and the Nutella French toast. We are told that there is music on some nights and we did not review the dinner menu. However, if it's anything like the brunch menu, I can't wait to try it.

Hilltop Manor Inn - The reception had zero room to go between tables and no breaks. They put too many people in there.

This venue is nice. It spans across multiple properties. The house across the street is for the…read morewedding party to stay and get ready. The ceremony was on the lawn behind the house. It was all open field and they do have beautiful landscaping and steps going down. When you book this place you get it for the whole weekend. I was the wedding photographer and i was stretched thin walking back and forth and up and down. I will say the steps going upstairs into the reception area which is in the upper level of a barn did not feel very safe. They do have a working elevator for guests that cant do steps but it is extremely slow so it is not something you'd want several people using. It holds 4 people at a time and takes all of 5 minutes. They had another area that you can rent for an additional $3k to have the reception on ground level. You will need outside catering and i would hire/bring someone to maintain the premises during your celebration. Ive been shooting weddings for 10 years and this is the first time ever that i seen the groom empty trashcans during the middle of his wedding reception. The owners were not there and nobody seemed to be there maintaining anything but this seems to be happening more and more. I never seen anyone working other than bartenders and the catering company. The couple that hired me brought a golf cart which I would say you'd absolutely need. It would have been great if the venue provided one but they did not. We were there in early June so it wasn't too hot yet but I imagine Jul Aug Sept are pretty hot in that barns upper level. They had portable ac units but with 170 guests in the upper level of a barn, I will just say that the bride and grooms faces were pretty shiny. It wasn't terrible in June. All in all, it is a beautiful property and you get it for the entire weekend. There is plenty of room for everyone and they will allow a few campers to park on the property as well. I would love to see them just use that lower level but its not my business. It would be so much nicer if they invested in some round tables and had a centrally located space designated for food and a dance floor like a real wedding venue but that is all tucked away in a corner. All of the tables are laid out like a school cafeteria but without gaps between them and barely any space. You can see in the photos. If the venue sets it all up, I would absolutely suggest that you specify that you would like space between the tables so people can get in and out of their seats and a central location for the dancing. Im honestly not sure who sets everything up though. It was a very unique experience. If that lower level would have been included and someone maintained the premises, I would give it 5 stars all day because it really is a beautiful and secluded location. For the upstairs of a really old barn, I am struggling to give 4 stars but I have no reason not to. Im just glad i was there in June!

Very nice wedding venue - I attended a wedding here this weekend…read more It was pouring out all day, so the ceremony was underneath a covered area, and then cocktails/appetizers were downstairs in a different area and the reception was in the barn. The wedding party stayed in the house which I believe is an option you can choose. The area is kind of in the middle of nowhere (20 minutes from Jackson and 45 from Ann Arbor) so I'd imagine that was helpful. The stairs leading up to the 2nd floor of the barn from the 1st floor are pretty narrow - I was luckily wearing flats but I can't imagine navigating it in heels. Otherwise, really nice venue for a wedding.
