The salad bar is nice. They charge $10 for a plate that is less than 8 inches in diameter and that is NOT all you can eat. Just one trip. I would never pay for it again. It is salad. Nothing more nit worth $5 more with an entree let alone $10. My waitress was new and forgot everything but after I got up and got up and asked someone else for it the manager came over and apologized. My steak was thin and I ordered the big rib eye. It was over cooked. I ordered mes rare. I won't be back. Very pretty venue. Ok food. read more

We had a great time with friends here! Absolutely beautiful establishment. Staff was extremely friendly and social. Meghan at the bar made an outstanding smoked old fashion. I had the Ledge, and she had a Long Island tea. All were delicious. We had steaks, with different vegetables and the salad bar! Definitely a place to go back to eat. My wife and I love the decor and the staff was very friendly. So on the menu it says French Dip. I asked the waitress if the prime rib on it was cooked medium. She said that it was. I got my order and there was no aus jus. The sandwich itself had as much cheese as it did overcooked prime rib that looked more like reheated ribeye. My wife's burger was overcooked on the well done side. I understand the target market however just asking how you want it cooked would have been nice. Our waitress said she ordered the prime rib sandwich for dinner, begging the question is it a French Dip or a sandwich. This was our 5th time eating at Ledgers. The restaurant has a good atmosphere, and seems huge with 2 stocked bars, and a good selection of wine. I would give them a 7.8 out of 10. I gave them .3 for having a salad bar as big as a railroad car, and another .2 for being in Cullman. I did knock off .2 for the extra loud 3 man band playing in the back bar area. They have a typical steakhouse menu with a few specialty dishes. I had the filet with broccoli and salad bar. It was all very good. One of the people in our group ordered the chocolate Cake for dessert, and said it was fantastic. The server was prompt and attentive. Great service and entrees. Opened earlier this year, chef prepared dishes. Full bar and good wine selection. Very nicely decorated and clean. This is located within Stonebridge Farms. Open Thur, Fri, Sat and Sunday for Brunch and Dinner. Our server Sarah was fabulous and the brunch menu is delicious as well as the mimosas. They have had some chef and staff issues but have corrected. Folks, this is a great addition to the Cullman area. Please go and see for yourself. Upon arrival we were seated fairly quick. They said it would be an 30 minute wait and that was fine. My friend and I went to the bar to grab a drink. After getting seated we waited approximately 15 minutes before being greeted by anyone. I asked who our waitress was going to be she said she was and her name was Kayla. We told her we already knew what we wanted to eat and would like to go ahead and order. We then ordered after about 15 minutes our appetizer came we were sitting there eating enjoying ourselves. When a lady walked up to our table and ask if everything was ok. We said yes we're fine. She then stated that the hostess said she heard there had been a problem. We said no not us must be another table that we were fine. She then said no it's y'all and pointed me specifically out, saying the hostess said I said something when going to the bathroom. I never spoke to anyone when going the restroom. My husband said dammit man we're here to eat and enjoy our self we have no problems, We've done been here an hour and twenty five minutes. She then looked at him and said sir sir dont cuss at me. He told her he wasn't cussing at her just the situation really! Other people in the restaurant heard all this and told us they were embarrassed for us. We never said anything to anyone or anything bad about the restaurant. We were just all talking having conversation with one another and enjoying the music and the atmosphere really until this happened. Our friend sitting across from us said every time we said something to our waitress she would roll her eyes behind us and now she knew why. Why I still have no idea. Before all this happened I was sitting there listing to the music when the hostess came by our table and literally gave me the meanest look, I didn't say a word to anyone however now I wish I would have. Then when my husband asked the lady speaking to us in a very unprofessional tone, Who the manager was she stated she was. I then asked who the owner was and she stated she runs ledgers no one is above her she run this place. What should have been a great dinning experience turned out to be one of the most embarrassing experiences I've ever encountered. We own three bussiness and would never treat any customer like this. As we were leaving the waitress thought we had all left but my husband was still at the table I seen and heard the waitress talking and laughing with a lady cleaning it and about my wife and our friends. After we got outside another party of four people said they were also treated poorly and also seen and overheard what had happened to us. They said they would never be back. We will never be back and our friends who we brought for their first time said they will never be back as well. I work in healthcare and tonight was my first night evening off after a really long week. We just wanted a decent evening out and I still don't understand why I was called out or what even happened but someone let a situation cascade away without making sure what really happened. I'm usually the kind of person that wants her steak cooked at her home because I'm very particular about the way my steak is prepped and cooked. I like my steak rare and caramelized on the outside by the grill so that the fat has a wonderful flavor when it melts in your mouth. This place executed my steak perfectly. It was located out in the middle of no where so don't think you are going the wrong way. It has a very nice laid back vibe! The food was AMAZING! I ordered the Ribeye, Cajun grits, & mashed potatoes...the steaks was cooked perfectly! My husband ordered the pork chop, Mac n cheese, & mashed potatoes...the pork chop was so good! I should have known our experience would be terrible from the moment I came in and the hostess could not figure out where to seat our reservation of 3 when half the restaurant was empty. We asked for artificial sweetener after our drinks arrived and our waiter never came back with them. Our waiter made it clear that we were one of his only 2 tables, yet we waited for 30 minutes after he told us he would "be right with us" and he disappeared. We saw him looking at his phone at the bar and going to other people who were not assigned to him. We made eye contact and directly spoke to another waitress and she did not come over to check on us. We had a wonderful meal at Ledger's by the fire place. We were a party of 25 and everything was perfect! The restaurant and the Grill (bar) are both large and spacious. The decor is beautiful. I loved the food! I had the prime rib, and it was wonderful. The creme brulee was to die for!! Gotta check this out. The only down side is when I ordered coffee with my dessert. It took a long time in coming(the coffee) it was very bitter, and I had to then wait because I was not given cream and sugar. We brought friends visiting from out of town for an early dinner. Despite the dining room being empty we had sloppy and poor service. Waitress was not trained on knowing the food descriptions and wines. Food did not come out together so one person ate while the other 3 people waited more than 10 minutes. We did not see our waitress once order was placed and food delivered. The back doors were left wide open during our entire time there allowing the flies to come in a swarm us while we ate. We loved the atmosphere. They were short handed and it was great to see the GM, Scott, waiting tables, bussing tables and making our experience enjoyable. Cocktails were great, wife's filet was perfect, my prime rib was unfortunately overcooked for my liking. Also, it is a ways of the expressway, so probably not for anyone in a hurry. After hearing great things about this "upscale" restaurant just outside Cullman, we were excited when friends invited us to dinner. We were seated inside a large, dark brown lodge-like dining hall that was nothing short of depressing and dark. I was intrigued with the modern-looking wine cellar and bar (which is only accessible by a trip through the kitchen) as they seemed to be the most up-to-date areas in the building. Our server was professional and attentive, especially considering there were only 4 other tables occupied in a space that could easily seat 100 plus people. The wine list is eclectic and small with a nice enough selection that can cover many likes. The usual beer suspects are both on tap and in bottle, nothing outside of typical. I surveyed the dinner menu and that was where my interest turned. There was no hint of "upscale" to be found. Honestly, it was depressing to see the thoughtless and predictable sub-chain restaurant menu before me. I scanned the embarrassed eyes at my table reading the "let's get up and leave" looks aimed towards me. We had ordered drinks and felt obligated to stay. We should have listened to that look and excused ourselves. We all felt safe ordering salads, after all, how hard is a good salad to produce? Strike 2. Just a basic attempt to replicate Applebee's, average at best. Entrees, which took forever to arrive (now we are down to 3 tables) were over cooked, over seasoned and underwhelming. The thin, over seasoned and overcooked steaks were inedible. The other entrees looked microwaved and dry. The discussion around the table quickly turned to other dining options close by and how soon we could get out of there. I would normally address my concerns with management, but there wasn't a manger available and we were just ready to leave. read more

The Ledger's property is very beautiful. The dining room was closed when we arrived but the pub was not noisy so we were able to enjoy our dinner conversation. Our husbands had steak and none was left in their plates so I assume they enjoyed it. I had the snapper and could have eaten two pieces of it; it was perfect. My friend had the pork loin and said the pepper jelly sauce was excellent. The grilled vegetables were yummy. I commented that it would be an excellent side for the main course. If you like mushy green beans, you won't like theirs. I loved them; crunchy and seasoned well. Oh I forgot to mention the bread...warm, buttery and garlic. Yum! There were plenty of sides so you could order a vegetable plate and be satisfied. Husband ate all his banana bourbon cake and the tiramisu was just enough...not too much but a sweet treat. First time going here for my husband's birthday and it will most definitely be the last! Started off with the rude manager, Robby, coming out saying they were busy with other "certain tasks" and could not do anything until they open. I understand not being able to seat people until you reopen for dinner but there's no need to be a dick about it..... the party in front of us (party of 8) had asked if they would be able to accommodate them and said they couldn't make a reservation bc it wasn't working (same problem we had)... when Robby said he had reservations turned off bc they were overbooked and couldn't accommodate the ones they had already. Should've left then.... We finally made it to the hostess stand (45 minutes later) when Robby stated he didn't think they could accommodate our party. He walked off and came back saying he could sit us but they were not able to move the tables so we would all have to sit separately. After waiting this long we decided to give it one last shot so we agreed and all sat separately. Steak was decent but the rest of the food SUCKED. We sent what was inedible back and when the checks came gratuity was added.... My husband then asked the server why this was added if we weren't even able to sit as a party. I normally would never leave a bad review for anywhere. We went to brunch this morning at Ledger's in Cullman. We ordered eggs fried well done. They brought them out burned on the outside and running on the inside, not once but twice. The second time they brought them out was after we were almost done eating. I ordered chicken and waffles and the chicken was ice cold. The pork chop was raw. Grits were hard. Pancakes weren't done all the way through. We asked for jelly and were brought strawberry pie filling. I was so excited to try this place but the meal we were served was not worth the $135 charged for it. I wouldn't go back. read more
