I reminded them I had to fight traffic during rush hour but I would get there as soon as I could. Got there 15 min late to see a locked door staring at the sign on the door stating "open Monday through Friday 8 am to 5:30 pm." I left a message on their phone that I was surprised to see that they should at least be open. They did not call me back to check on me after I left the message. Probably showing that they're in the wrong. So sad. I was looking forward to getting my filling fixed before Thanksgiving. I guess they don't care about how much inconvenience they give to their customers.

But why run a dentist office if you don't have basic equipment? They automatically opted to pull his tooth (alongside a root canal) yet when I took his to another establishment, they questioned why that would even be an option. They said that was very unprofessional and morally not right for the life of his tooth. I'm just sharing my personal experience.... If you want a dentist with proper equipment and experience, I wouldn't recommend this place and neither did my new dentist... who suggested that this be looked into further. First - I went for a cleaning and they didn't see my appointment so I wasted a 40 minute trip and time off work. Second - my husband went for a cleaning and was told he needed a bunch of work, along with deep cleanings instead of a regular one. So he left without a cleaning and rescheduled, having to take more time off work. Third - we took my 16 year old daughter for a cleaning. They took many x-rays (more than necessary because they were getting them wrong) and then we were told she has gingivitis and needed a special cleaning and such. So we left without a cleaning and a big money-making plan for her. Considering both my husband and daughter were told they needed these expensive cleanings, after having regular cleanings for years, I did a little research online and apparently this is a thing for Great Expressions Dental. They LOVE to upsell deep cleanings for more profit. There are SO many complaints against them that BBB tried to investigate but Great Expressions refused to cooperate and therefore, they have no BBB rating (or an F). To be honest, I think I've seen Dr. Del Rio maybe twice in seven years, but the amazing dental hygienists are what make me want to return. The staff is very attentive, courteous and professional. The clinic is clean and inviting. Their equipment is excellent and better than what I am used to seeing. I have lock jaw, very sensitive gums and a pretty small mouth which makes it very challenging for any dentist. Dr Sam and his tech (I forgot her name) were fantastic! They listened when I explained the challenges I face when getting dental work done. They were patient and allowed breaks when I could no longer keep my mouth open. Even though they worked on a few teeth I didn't feel as if they were rushing or trying to cut corners. I once had a dentist hit a nerve with the needle when numbing my gums. It was excruciating and lasted two weeks. The experience at Heritage Dental was soooo much better. I feel Dr Sam understood how nervous I was and took extra care when administering my injection. He and the tech also gently talked and soothe my nerves when I thought I would hyperventilate. Although I felt some pain it was manageable. Anyway moving forward the original reason why I was even there was to get my wisdom teeth removed, and I prepaid for my appointment in advance, and then the doctor proceeded to tell me that he could not pull out my wisdom teeth due to the x-ray that he saw and that I would need surgery and he would refer me out mind you he had already looked at these x-rays at the last appointment we had so he could've told me that at the last appointment we had...so that was a waste of my time! So then since I took off of work so I could come to this appointment. I said well why don't we just get my fillings done instead. Boy was that a mistake... I should've just went home. This is how I got my fillings done if you would like to say that because then afterwards my bite was all off and I had pain for months!!! It was extremely painful to eat or drink anything for what felt like forever, whether it was a hot or cold food or beverage item. I received a bill for $409 for both a previous procedure done months ago (that I had no idea of) and a recent bill for procedures I was not told about in the estimate - because they ENSURED my step-daughters insurance would pay for it. Now they are billing me for $409, for procedures I wasn't aware she ever had the first time AND procedures no one ever mentioned in the second appt. Not to mention the bill shouldn't even be under my name - it's listed in their charts that their father receives ALL bills!

Dr. Tasneim Mohamed is one of the best dentists I've ever met - knowledgeable, personable, considerate, and has a great deal of skill. Throughout our session, she really took the time to understand and discuss my teeth, what I wanted, answer any questions; and review all the available options. I've actually avoided all Dentist's offices for over 10 years because I get super nervous and jittery, but the Dr. and her entire staff were very friendly and accommodating, it made me feel well taken care of and I've been very pleased with the results of my teeth. As a bonus, her clinic was absolutely gorgeous, sparkling clean, and highly aesthetic. I will definitely be returning to Western Dental Care, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
