I tried to stick with them because the people in the office are super nice!! However, there were just too many strikes against them that we decided to go elsewhere. First - I went for a cleaning and they didn't see my appointment so I wasted a 40 minute trip and time off work. Second - my husband went for a cleaning and was told he needed a bunch of work, along with deep cleanings instead of a regular one. So he left without a cleaning and rescheduled, having to take more time off work. Third - we took my 16 year old daughter for a cleaning. They took many x-rays (more than necessary because they were getting them wrong) and then we were told she has gingivitis and needed a special cleaning and such. So we left without a cleaning and a big money-making plan for her. Considering both my husband and daughter were told they needed these expensive cleanings, after having regular cleanings for years, I did a little research online and apparently this is a thing for Great Expressions Dental. They LOVE to upsell deep cleanings for more profit. There are SO many complaints against them that BBB tried to investigate but Great Expressions refused to cooperate and therefore, they have no BBB rating (or an F). The hygienist does a fabulous job. Dr. Forney is the best dentist I've ever had. At my last visit she suggested a Water Pic. I purchased both the travel and home Water Pics. Please disregard the two 1 star reviews as they are NOT an accurate representation of this establishment. I have had nothing but AMAZING visits/procedures done here. Dr. Forney and her staff are so awesome and I won't go to any other dentist. I used to have major anxiety going to the dentist and she is so friendly and always puts me at ease, and takes the time to explain things. Her office has always been clear and upfront with pricing and costs of procedures, and when there's an issue, she is quick to correct it or work with me. Even the periodontist Dr. Ashwin (who did my implants) made me feel comfortable at all times. Taking care of your teeth and gums is SUPER important, and I never feel like they are after my money. Be aware! This office loves to up sell you products like night guards and braces. They ensure you that your insurance will cover a great portion and you should definitely get the product. I actually stated that I didn't think I needed the night guard but was talked into it. Now I have a $300 bill for the portion my insurance didn't cover. This office is like "oh...yeah. There's no way we could have known what would actually be paid". **update- following my initial review, the dentist resubmitted my claim to the insurance company with the billing date of the date the night guard was made for me (not when I picked it up). Apparently after January 1st, my dental insurance changed and they no longer paid for night guards. I feel much better that this was corrected and the office didn't charge me the full price for the guard. I wish the receptionist would have looked into why I was billed full price instead of just telling me there was nothing she could do. read more

They get the job done, but have a constant cycling of dentist. My first visit two years ago they asked if I could come back for a cleaning because they didn't have time. Should have been a sign, I refused and two hours later I was seen for my scheduled appointment. The last visit a year ago the dentist was literally having to look at a poster on the wall to decide what level my gums were and he didn't even exam in it, until I asked. The last and final straw for me was when they refused to see me because I was 4 weeks pregnant. Never did they ask me this prior to my appointment and the multiple times they called me to verify my appointment and just failed to write it down. They stated they don't see pregnant patients because it's a risk to the baby to have my teeth clean. This is not my first child and not a common practice as they state it is. I literally called two other dentist and was able to be seen without any hesitation without a clearing from my OB. I only needed a cleaning. Honestly, they were clearly overbooked and it was easy to turn me away and the soonest they could see me was 2 months out without me taking another day off from work. Instead of the office showing excitement for me being pregnant they were completely rude. It's clearly just a business that doesn't care about people but money only. No thank you. read more

Do not go here! I have had nothing but problems. I stared going back when they were called Floss and had nothing but wonderful experiences. Now I can not say even one good thing. I had made an appointment for Monday May 25 (and confirmed with the tech several times within the phone call). Which I now realize is Memorial Day but as the time 2 weeks ago thought was just a normal Monday. I had left a message on Monday cancelling and then instead of calling me back they called a family member who's number is not in my file but rather they looked into her file and assumed they would be able to reach me. When I finally got in touch with Desiree at the front desk she was nothing but condescending. Then proceeded to reiterate SERVAL times that "no your appointment was always scheduled for Tuesday the 26". If they had just said "I am so sorry who ever made that appointment must not have noticed we were closed!" then I would have just rescheduled no problem. Received an offer in the mail for $99. Cleaning, after spending 1-1/2 hours with several staff members my husband and I were told we needed a deep cleaning at a cost of approx $700.+ each. Then they tried to sell us an insurance plan and asked us to apply for their credit plan. Strange how they had cleared their schedule for such a procedure even though we had never been there. They refused to do our $99. Cleaning and we had to pay $15. Each before leaving... Felt like we were baited in with special with intentions of never providing services as advertised. read more

I had a part of my back tooth fall off at the movie theaters. No pain, thankfully, but I'm going on a trip in seven days so I wanted it looked at and fixed if possible. My wife and kids go to this dentist, so at the theater and using their online scheduling, I scheduled an appointment as a new patient to have that tooth fixed and maybe a teeth cleaning as well. Their system set me up for a Monday appointment - which was quick and great, but I had to change my Monday around to make it work. Monday morning comes, the office texts and then calls my wife to tell her that I must reschedule as they don't take new patients then - and offered my wife a Thursday opening - and since my Thursday was already booked - I told my wife I couldn't make that. So in other words, they have an open spot on Monday, but they can't fill it with a new patient - per their own rules. First, I submitted my email and phone number - why didn't they call me directly instead of calling my wife - we didn't appreciate that. Second, their system gave me an appointment - right or wrong - it was their system. They should have honored it. There was no apology offered for the fact their system gave me a wrong appointment nor that I had to rearrange my Monday schedule to make that appointment work, and by canceling my appointment on Monday, they left me very little time to make other arrangements before my trip - which thankfully, I found a dentist able to do so. The dentist may be great, but I was more than disappointed in how they handled it. read more

I had my final treatment done there in October 2017. Today it is June and I am still receiving bills from them. What is it? Can't your billing department get it together? Do they not know how to bill Insurance? The treatment should cost X amount. Insurance should pay X amount. The delta is what I owe. So why is it nearly 9 months after treatment am I still getting bills? In Feb/Mar you sent a bill for nearly $300. Today I get another bill for $83.50. What kind of a shady, chiseling operation are you running? Where is the total cost of the treatment? Where is the statement showing how much my insurance paid? Why can't you give me this information? I wish that I could give 0 stars. I have been going to this dentist since it was called Floss and after today, I will never be coming back. My whole family goes to see Dr. Forney, but it is definitely time for us to all find a different dentist. I went in today for a routine cleaning and after continuously prodding and stabbing my gums, they told me that they were bleeding, which makes sense after my gums had been stabbed. After this, I was told that bleeding means infection and that I had to have a $170 procedure done or else they wouldn't clean my teeth. I refused, as is my right, and they continued to insult me, saying that I would regret this and that I would come back and Dr. Forney would say "I told you so." After about an hour of them trying to convince me to give them my money, they finally let me go and refused to do a cleaning. The moral of the story is: only go to this place if you 1) hate your teeth 2) feel like burning money. I will never be going back there. read more
