Ashley, the dental hygienist, was thorough and really nice. My teeth felt incredibly clean after! Dr. Heisler was also really kind and helped me understand a bit more about some previous dentist's work in my mouth, reassuring me and giving me some comfort. Umm, and you can watch Netflix in the chair. And the chair gently massaged my back! They don't take insurance, which isn't ideal. The receptionist said it's unlikely I'll pay anything given the plan I have, so I'm banking on that. I'll be a bit disappointed, though, if I will need to pay anything given what the receptionist mentioned when I made the appointment.

They are always running on time, and everyone is friendly and pleasant. Its a very clean, bright office; its small but its very well planned. The office is only 2 blocks from the train station, or if you drive they have 2 spots in their lot , or are only 1 block from the municipal parking lot. On his website, it says Dr Rubin is all about giving you a beautiful smile - well I don't know how he is at restorative, because he's so good at preventative. I've been going to him at least annually, usually bi-annually for 24 years (I'm in my 30's) and honestly, I have a great smile, and I believe Dr Rubin is a big part of that. Having a dentist that I not only trust, but that is pleasant, with a great staff means I don't mind going to the dentist, which means I end up getting great dental care. I've had 4 cavities in my life - each were caught very early, and therefore it really wasn't a terrible process to get them filled. I ending up cracking one (my own fault), getting an infection and needed a root canal. Again, it wasn't a terrible process because I had a great dentist, who took care of it quickly. For big jobs he refers me out - he sent me to a surgeon to have my wisdom teeth out. And when I had to have the root canal tooth redone after a decade, and decided to just get an implant, he referred me to a specialist (who was also really great!) Dr Rubin did pull my tooth himself, and he fit and had the new "tooth" made for me. Seriously - the worst part of the whole process - having the tooth pulled, the implant placed, the fittings, etc - was not being able to drink hot coffee for 3 days. That's how painless the procedures were: that's a good dentist! Cleanings and x-rays are like that too, quick, painless and easy.

She will look at your mouth and know just how to fix it to create a masterpiece. Prior to seeing her, I had braces on my upper teeth but never did my bottom teeth. I was not happy with the results. Although better than having crooked teeth, my smile was too narrow. When Dr Danoff, met me she immediately noticed that 2 of my upper teeth should never have been pulled and that my upper teeth were making a narrow "U" instead of an open "U". I was going to get braces only on my lower teeth but she convinced me to do Invisalign on my upper and lower teeth. I am so glad that she convinced me to do this. I trusted her from the beginning because she noticed what no one else could figure out. My previous orthodontist messed up my smile and made it too narrow. After a year and a half of Invisalign, I am 100% happy with my smile. If you need to get braces or Invisilign, make sure you see Dr. Laura Danoff because she is the most professional and caring doctor that you will ever meet.
