I've done three cross country moves and this company is by far the worst, I've ever dealt with. In July 2019, I sold my four bedroom house and paid this company to move all of my things into a storage facility, where I planned to keep it for at least a year. Despite the fact that I left my house at the same time as the truck, they arrived about 20 minutes after me, which should have been huge tip off, because when I went to the storage facility a year later to move myself, the unit was undisturbed but at least half dozen large boxes were missing, and a number of large items that had been put all the way in the back of the unit were damaged. Among the missing items were dishes, all of my pot lids, several vintage serving trays, all of my hand tools, workout equipment and the power supply for an Octane Q47 elliptical machine. When, I contacted the company to complain, I was told to email a list of the missing items and someone would get back to me. Months later and several calls, it has become apparent that I'm just going to have to take the loss and move on. read more

Seeing the Atlas Van Lines logo made me feel assured that I had hired a reliable dependable company. WRONG! The last thing you'd think is that the movers are going to damage your furniture. First and foremost, let it be known LEE MOVING INC is not ATLAS VAN LINES. In spite of the fact that they mislead by using their logo on correspondence, as well as their vehicles. Lee Moving Lee Moving packed, stored for nearly 7 months and damaged over 25k of furniture. Their own estimator valued the repairs at $1,800 for which they claim to be reliable at the rate of 60 cents per pound or $425. After charging me over 10K for their services, they offered me $425, which won't cover the cost of what they damaged. I will admit they did try to split the damages $900. More than the money, they REFUSE to do the right thing and pay for the damages they caused. The sofa fabric was ripped, wood on the dining buffet was gouged knicks and dents all the front of the cabinet, there's a gouge on our dining room table, the carved legs of 6 chairs are scratched, broke legs on 2 small tables, scratched glass on coffee tables, scratched metal. To add insult to injury, the movers tried to hide every piece of damage as they moved it in. Until I noticed. Gathering from my conversations with LEE MOVING aka NOT ATLAS VAN LINES, it's my responsibility to repair the damage they caused. Beware of the hold harmless agreement. BOTTOM LINE: I suggest you use another moving company, as they are not responsible and refuse to DO THE RIGHT THING. read more

If you are looking for a long distance mover this is not the place to go. I have moved across country multiple times and this is the singularly worst move I have ever experienced. Everyone is very friendly and reassuring but I found that they had limited knowledge about the important details of the move and although they will sympathize if things go wrong, no concrete actions will be taken on your behalf. For cross country moves as mine was (Louisiana to California), they only serve as agents for Atlas moving so when your goods are picked up, they are not immediately placed on the transit vehicle. Instead they are placed in storage at their facility while they wait for a driver. After asking multiple times, it is still unclear how your shipment gets assigned to a particular truck. What is clear is that my shipment was not assigned to a transport vehicle, and all the agents seemed to be able to do about it was tell me week after week that they hoped a driver would materialize. This went on for three weeks which also happened to be the contractual delivery window. By the time my goods reached me it was over four weeks after the pick up date and over a week past the promised delivery date. I had already started work and had to completely re-arrange my schedule and take time off just after starting the job because they were completely inflexible with the delivery date. This, in spite of the fact that they were outside the contracted delivery period. The only option given was an additional charge that would amount to almost 50% of the move cost and they would place my goods in storage (again) and deliver them two weeks later. This would have been six weeks after they picked them up. I had initially been impressed with how nice everyone was but at the end of the day, none of that mattered. I was left with a major problem, they did not fulfill the agreement and they would not make any concessions in spite of having put me in a very difficult situation. Using them was a big mistake, I've had better experiences with United Van lines and independent movers. read more

Any stress I had, they were able to calm with their professionalism and efficacy. Lee only did my pickup, however, but the pickup was likely the easiest part of the move. read more

We recently used Lee Moving for our office's move. In order to convey how efficient and professional Lee Moving's workers were, first you have to visualize the office we moved from. Our downtown office had four rooms, three of which were extremely cluttered with hundreds, if not thousands of files, stored or just laid out on the floor, along with books and loose paper work. We also have several pieces of very heavy solid wood office furniture and heavy duty steel file cabinets. Since I was tasked with moving the office, I was overwhelmed just at the thought of having to pack all of the loose files, etc. I was also concerned with the movers being able to move the heavy furniture. Lee Moving to the rescue! Not only did Lee's movers move swiftly and precisely with packing, boxing and labeling my boxes, they were also very patient with having to deal with so much unorganized mayhem. Also, I noted that in the almost seven hours it took to pack and move our office, not one of them took a break! The men were working machines. I also very much appreciated that they all had such good attitudes and were very professional about their livelihoods, considering we were moving our office after hours and late into the night. Since we had an overnight move, Lee Moving also took the responsibility of storing our items, without charging additional fees. The same went for the move into our new building the next morning. The movers came at the appointed time and went straight to work, moving our office into the new building. Again, I was amazed none of the movers took a break or asked for one. I actually instructed them to take a lunch break. To my surprise, the movers were back on the job within 30 minutes. They just worked until the move was completed to my and the owner's satisfaction. I can't share enough exceptional positive comments about Lee Moving. I entrusted my move with them and not only was I extremely satisfied with the company's sublime service, I have recommended Lee Moving to several of my friends, family and business associates. As for the price that was quoted to me, there were no surprise last minute fees. Lee Moving's fees were worth every penny! I'm all about supporting local New Orleans companies. I'm glad we chose Lee Moving over the other local companies. Abstolutely - No regrets. If I need to move in the future, I would definitely use Lee Moving. It's a 5 Star Rating Company! read more

From start to finish the communication was consistent. The packers were professional and took extreme care in packing my belongings. Due to work obligations and travel, I literally had a 2 day window to receive my items in Charlotte. Mr. Clauhs went out of his way to make sure I received my belongings on the date I needed them. And, when I foolishly believed I was missing some tubes and constantly called Mr. Jay about them, he was always kind and responsive. Please read my experience and use another mover... Thank me later... My family recently moved from NOLA to another state and found Lee moving online. One of their associates came to our small apartment and met with my husband to give us an estimate for a full pack with an additional pickup from a local storage facility. She seemed knowledgeable so we decided to use them for our move. Packing day: The movers showed up bright and early. They came in and took one look and their enthusiasm immediately faded. They stated that they were unaware it was a full pack, that we had so much stuff and that they were unsure if they even had enough boxes. ??? They had to call in one additional guy to help pack. The team had no power drills to take down the beds and toddler beds so they had to use manual tools (not sure why). Several times during the day the team took smoke breaks as their enthusiasm began to fade even more. Granted, it was hot outside but it seemed excessive to us. My mild mannered physician husband berated them for so many breaks and even called our moving contact at Lee moving to complain - to little avail. We also had some boxes and other items in a local storage facility that needed to be moved as well. Since the team at our apartment was super slow, another crew of two was called in to get our boxes from storage. Unpacking day: A different team of two delivered our items - they were very friendly and showed up early. It started to rain during the process - my husband (not the movers) had to go outside to close the truck so our goods would not get wet. Immediately after the unpacking, I called Lee moving to let them know that our carpet was slightly damaged during the unpacking. I received an email the next day that it would be covered with information on how to process a claim. I decided to check the items in all of the boxes before submitting a claim about a week later. It's during these days that I noticed a nice puncture hole in the top of an armoire as well as a broken candleholder. I took pictures and submitted one claim for all three issues. I reached out to my assigned claims agent to ask the status. She responded via email that I would receive a check for the armoire and candleholder ONLY. I was told to contact Lee moving regarding the damaged carpet. I spoke with the manager on 2 occasions. He stated that he would kindly call me back after he had time to research my inquiry/claim. I received an email that they do not clean carpet - he never called me back. NOTE: The claim was not for the carpet to be cleaned.... My multiple calls to Lee moving has gone ignored. We spent $7k with this company and are being mistreated after trusting our personal items to them for safe transport and delivery. I subsequently filed a complaint with the BBB of Greater New Orleans. The company responded that protection was placed on floors (it was not) and that a final walk through was done (it was not). Bottom line: No one treats your items like you do. Please do yourself a favor and use another mover... Thank me later.. read more

Best movers ever!! We just moved a month ago. They went out of their way to help take some of the stress out of moving. We had to move out of our old house prior to closing on our new home. So, Lee's stored our furniture for us. And when our closing date was delayed another 4 days, they worked with us to get us into our house as quickly as possible and they didn't charge me for any extra days! I am a next door neighbor to someone who is using this moving company. The truck that they are using parked in my driveway and when I asked them to move forward a little, one of the workers gave me the finger. Finally, they moved. They have been here 3 days with a loud refrigerated truck and I see them carrying small little pieces of wood one at a time into the truck so that they can prolong the work. They are taking advantage of an elderly lady. read more
