One of my favorite things about K&Y is that they have lots of produce (especially Asian ones) that you can't find at TJoe's: for example, gailan (Chinese broccoli), baby bok choy, whole artichokes, broccoli rabe, butternut squash, Thai basil, serrano peppers, just to name a few. Their roma tomatoes are so much riper than TJoe's as well. In addition to produce, they have lots Asian goods that you can pick up without going to Chinatown such as sesame oil, curries, rice noodles, etc etc. This is a family owned place that also runs Atlantic Fruit & Vegetable. Ralph has been here many years serving fresh food and smiles to the Fort Greene community. It's one of those places you can get a sandwich or grab essentials or snacks. It's nice that the products are usually better brands, organic, and/or local Brooklyn brands. The staff here is super is super sweet and treats the the neighbors like family. Check them out sometimes if you're in the area they have a cool seating area for you to enjoy have a cute seating area for you to enjoy your purchases (sandos, sodas, etc.)

The delivery was prompt & accurate. So when my son gave me the bad news that we would run out of my favorite coffee I decided to visit Prospect Market & search for something similar. I had previously seen the nicely done storefront on Prospect Park W in the midst of the main shopping & eatery area in Windsor Terrace. So I knew it was close & had street parking available. The clean, long & wide aisled market featured a plethora of my favorites. It was similar to a market I had shopped in often when my son lived in Carroll Gardens. On a visit to the old neighborhood I learned that market had been acquired by Prospect Market. I'm not one to browse aisles. So after my son directed me to the coffee section, I immediately started searching for caramel infused beans. There were two choices. I went with my son's recommendation, which was a brand based in Queens. It was excellent. The right coffee is the perfect way to begin my day. Prospect Market solved my coffee emergency. I'll return often when I'm visiting my son. Prospect Market has a great selection of my favorites.

My bag contained a tray of chicken wings (for BBQ), 2 Polar diet fudge sodas, Ithaca beet/lemon hummus and a package of mini Naan bread totaling $19.17. I think their prices are average/standard.
