Greeted by two people as soon as I walked in the door. A young lady was offering wine samples but I declined as I was in a rush. Found my item and quickly greeted by checker and finished my purchase. Many aisles of items. They must have anything you could want and if not they will try to find it for you. Very clean store. Conveniently off McCarran across from North Towne mall. read more

The store is what you hope for in a liquor store - helpful staff, huge selection, fair prices. I really am fond of their selection for sure, particularly the large amount of imported beer they field. In terms of comparing this to somewhere like Total Wine, sometimes the regular prices aren't as good, but sometimes you can find far superior deals to TW. Worth checking out once to see if it's your jam. I know I go here far more than TW these days, mostly because I can get the same experience much less out of my usual commute. read more

We'd seen the full page ads in the Reno Gazette Journal. We'd been interested since then, and only yesterday did we get the chance to visit, and it was worth it. The customer service was great and the selection was good and will only get better as time goes by. Our first Lee's experience was in Las Vegas and it was a crowded store, about twice as big as your local 7-11. This store is huge in comparison, and spacious. After being in awe of the size we were immediately greeted by an employee who took about five minutes and explained to us the entire layout of the store. After that five minutes we knew where the beer was located (scored a six pack of the Resilience Ale, the beer from Sierra Nevada Brewery benefitting the people suffering from the Camp Fire), the fine wine case (which was locked but does have about eight bottles of the Mercury Head wine that I enjoy when I'm in a 'money doesn't matter only good wine does' mood), and the section dedicated to spirits. As our conversation was winding down, she did let me know that there are several more Lee's planned for the Reno area, and so this will be a good thing, as Total Wine does need to have some competition. Any downside? For me, I was confused as to how they have organized their spirits. Is it alphabetical? Is it by distributor.... I was lost and this was a bit of a struggle, but, please know, this is a minor quibble. For sure, Lee's will be a regular consideration for me when I'm on the North side of Reno and I do look forward to their expansions south. read more

They have flavored Soju here! I used to drive to Sacramento to buy my cases of Soju, but now there is no need! I asked a friendly salesperson if they sell it by the case, they do, but it'll be the same price as individual bottles, boo. At least it beats driving to Sacramento! Their flavors at $3.99 a pop include: Strawberry Grapefruit Citron Plum Green Grape Peach Apple Plain? This review is only for the Soju, since it is the only place I can find in Reno that sells it~ The store is gigantic and clean and the employees were friendly. Will be back for more Soju! read more

The good: the location has a lot of parking. The store is huge and has a lot of inventory. The prices on the Prosecco is reasonable priced compared to Costco and Raley's. The cashier I had was friendly. I was only looking for sparkling white wines, so I didn't browse and compare the prices on their other liquors. The bad: I asked someone who was stocking the Prosecco if they had the La Marca brand in stock, as she was stocking that area. She said if they did have it, it would be by the Magnum size or on a display and then went to restocking. I thought maybe she was familiar with the area and would have helped me look, but I wasn't important enough. I did see her helping another lady for a specific item, so maybe their customer service depends on when they feel like being helpful. If you need assistance, it's hit or miss so be prepared to look on your own. read more

Best place to get the cheapest price on bottles and cans. They have so much variety and any mixers or chasers you would need for your drinks. I would love them even more if they carried blue curacao, but maybe they're always sold out? Not sure. I also appreciate most of their workers. They're able to help you decide which bottle to get and pull things from the back if they're sold out on the floor, but some of them can be over the top. (I was using a credit card and the guy yelled at me because I pulled my card out too early? Even though it was fully charged and cleared already. Guess I didn't abide to HIS timing, shame on me.) Overall, still my favorite place to get my supplies. read more

I went to Lee's Northtowne to get a bottle of Bacardi. They had a good price. The young man who was the cashier was very pleasant. I put my purchase in my car and went back in the store not looking for anything in particular. I ended up in the Mexican beer cooler area and saw my favorite Bohemia. I picked up a 12-pack. The same young man rang up the beer. He asked about it as. He had seen it in the cooler, but never had tried one. I am not a "fad" person. I explained the.time hadn't come yet for Bohemia to be the current popular Mexican beer. We got a good laugh about that. I like Lee's. They have such a wide selection of all kinds of alcohol. The store is always clean and well stocked. If you've never been to one, you should go check it out. read more

Prices are not the best in town, I can usually find what I drink cheaper at the grocery store. The customer service is also lacking badly. I asked for a specific brand to a employee walking around in the store. He just pointed in the general direction and said "it should be over there somewhere" You're better off going to Total Wine or Ben's. read more

Mark is the best!!!! I was looking for a specialty bottle, which is quite difficult to find. I have called multiple stores across multiple states. Mark took my name and number like all of the rest did, but he called me back within the hour, and he had located it at another location. He could've ended the call, and never thought about it again. But he didn't, he went above and beyond to help me find what I was looking for. He had the bottle transferred from the other store location to his store location, so that he could finalize the deal with a personal touch. I am so appreciative of his effort, he's getting a five-star review out of me. Thank you Mark!!!! read more

Be sure your not being overcharged. For the second time, I discovered that they cashier was charging more for the wine at the register than the displayed price. It was telling that the cashier and manager both knew I was being charged $2 more a bottle at the register than the displayed price. Indeed the manager admitted that they had told their main office about the price discrepancies but nothing had been done about it. I don't appreciate being taken advantage of in such an underhanded manner. I won't be back. read more

I love this place for several different reasons. #1 they are in route from my work to my house. #2 they have great prices. #3 They have a huge selection for whatever your looking for. Most of all I enjoy how they categorize everything. From local made or type or even the country it was made in. I suggest stopping by and checking it out. Sometimes their prices are lower than other stores, not often. Their selection is average. If you ever have a problem with a product, good luck. I bought a 12 pack of beer and two cans were empty. I took it back and was was basically told "tough luck" I took back a fifth of alcohol that was unopened and laid on its side. It leaked all over my suitcase. I took it back and was told the management wouldn't assist in any way. read more

What a joke. Everything is overpriced to grossly overpriced. And they say they price match BUT it's at managers discretion. I was going to buy a bottle of Eagle Rare bourbon. I normally buy this at Total Wine for $33.99. Lee's price: $49.99 I asked about price matching and the sales person said absolutely. At the register the manager informed me that the price difference was too big so they would not be able to do that. The cashier asked on my behalf if he could give me a smaller discount and he said that would do that. BUT after he saw that Total Wine was currently out of stock (according to the website) he declined to extend any discount all even after saying he would do so. If you know your liquor pricing, you will immediately be stunned that this place has the gall to use the word " Discount" in its name. See ya Lee's...you'll be out of business soon. read more

I prefer Total Wine but went here today because of convenience, I was closer to it. My 17 year old granddaughter was with me. Picked up a few things and was looking at the mini bottles of liquor when a female employee came over & said, don't mess up my display, it took me a long time to make it this pretty, and laughed. I said, can we not buy these? (Thinking they were in anot3her location) she said no, you can buy these. I said OK, thanx. Starting looking at them, the employee spent about 5 minutes talking to my granddaughter, telling her what she liked and thought was good. Went to pay, she asked my granddaughter for ID. I said, I'm buying them, not her. She said, I need to see her ID because she's with you. I asked why, that makes no sense, she only said, because she's with you. I told my granddaughter, go outside, to which the employee said, well, then I can't sell to you if you send her out. I said, you've got to be kidding! We left the store and went somewhere else. Regardless of why, it may be a law, I don't know. My issue is, you spent at least 5 minutes having a conversation with us, why didn't you mention that she needed an ID, which by they way, she didn't have with her. She's been with me and her mother other times, different stores, and there's never been a problem purchasing beer or liquor. Went to another store, not Lee's or Total Wine, had no problem making my purchase and yes, my granddaughter was with me. I will never step foot in a Lee's Discount Liquor again. I will only go to Total Wine, which is by far superior anyway, or I will even pay more at a small liquor store before I go back there. BTW- the employee was telling my granddaughter which flavors were good and making suggestions. Never once mentioning she would need to see her ID. read more

Love this place, I live in north Reno and I'm glad I don't have to go out of the way to Total Wine to get good prices and good selection. Prior to Lee's opening I'd frequently just suck it up and pay terrible grocery store prices if I was only buying one or two things and would only make occasional trips to Total if I was going to buy a big load of stuff. Now it's easy to pop in and grab a couple things at prices that are usually ~30% less than the grocery store for the liquors I buy regularly. read more

When I flagged an employee down they rolled their eyes and were not helpful at all. She acted extremely annoyed. Won't come back better off going to total wine where people actually care. read more

They refused to sell me alcohol just because my boyfriend didn't have his ID on him (he's moving to a condo so it got misplaced in storage) anyway, she was so rude about it we're old as hell it was just annoying that we had to go to Ben's. We bought a $350.00 (Opus) bottle of wine and when we got home and unwrapped it the top of cork looked odd. When we uncorked the bottle you could clearly see the cork was compromised. We took a small sip to confirm... indeed the wine was bad. We took it immediately back with receipt in hand and they told us to pound sand! I would NEVER do business at that store again! Btw, Total Wine said they would have absolutely replaced or refunded the money on that situation. read more

Called ahead to see if they still offer contactless curbside. They said yes which apparently meant I can park in the front (usual parking), go inside, meet with the associate and take my own cart back to the car. So no. Just shoot straight if you don't want to offer it anymore. Also, it would be nice for large orders to placed with eg cardboard separation so they don't break. Maybe that's the discounted part too. Idk. Guessing the employees aren't paid enough in these times- they seemed miserable. Wine selection/variety & prices were very good. Balance the customer service out though. read more

I can understand everyone is uptight over the virus and all, but I would like to have been treated better this morning. I need two more of what I bought and asked the cashier. Oh don't think we, I stopped her and I said I saw them in the back. She sent someone to get them. He could not find them and she had to go back and show him. She rang me up, I went to grab a box to put them in, as I always do, in a very rude voice she said ' Please do not touch those boxes, they are for something else, I will find a beer box for you. Wow where do I start? The management is extremely unorganized, uninformed, and very disrespectful to customers. Assistant manager lied about giving credit on keg deposit, lied about delivery and lied about pricing. They claim to match pricing but that's not true either. Taken almost an hour to get my deposit back. Stick with actual local businesses...not one that claims to be local but you must call Las Vegas to get any management answers. read more

I went into this huge place with great expectations. Boy was I disappointed. This place is HUGE, but most of it it is just liquor and wine. The prices didn't seem any different than anywhere else. Beer drinkers, might as well head down to Ben's down the street. There was hardly any selection of beer here, especially compared to the size of the place. Sure they had most of the mainstream domestic and import beers, but nothing particularly special. They didn't even have Widmer, my favorite beer. Its very popular around here. I can think of at least 3 bars/casinos that even serve it on tap. The reason I was prompted to write this review though, came when I tried to get help. I walked up to the checkout to ask about my beer. The lady stood there doing something? Then she finally acknowledged me. I asked about my beer. I said I can't find it? She said "sorry....". That was it. Then went back to what she was doing and ignored me? So to recap: Selection of Wine/Booze - Seems to have a lot of these items. I'm not a wine snob, but there did seem to be a good selection. Beer - Nothing special here. Price - About average. Didn't see any discount unless you buy large quantities. Lee's is a joke. They needed have beer in stock. I was right at the point of earning $25 for loyalty points. The last few times I've been in my points weren't registering and was tOld to call a number for cooperate. OF course, I didn't get anywhere with it. Today I waS told I wasn't a loyalty member. Disappointing. Just like Vegas stores. They have some premium "allocated" bourbons which is nice to see. Pricing is predatory at best. ORVW bourbon retail is $59. Lee's Liquor "Bargain" price is $400. Blanton's all day long anywhere is $58... Lee's $159... the list is long with pricing at 3x to 8x retail. I purchased a Lot B Pappy Van Winkle from Total Wine for $89 (Lee's price is $550). Elmer T Lee retail $45... Lee's $149. Pappy Van Winkle retail $259... Lee's will set you back $2,500 (you read it right)!!! Welcome to Reno Lee's Liquor... how about you take your "Big City" Vegas ways back to Southern Nevada. NOTE: ... the service is horrible... Huge selection, huge building but no public restroom. When I asked they told me to go nextdoor! Not only will I go nextdoor I will continue to go to Total Wine where they have a lovely restroom. I honestly thought it was illegal to not have a public restroom in a business. I plan to look into that. read more

I went in to C if they would match prices at other wine stores ? Cash register attendent called over a , I suppose, a manager. They assured me they would match prices and I showed them my last Invoice at Total wine and more. The manager seemed to b changing prices to match but when I got home i did the math, not so much!!! He just charged There prices and pretended to fool me. Crazy cause the difference was less than $6 for 15 bottles of Wine!!!
