We are here right now for happy hour. Website says $3 off drafts, wine and more. I confirmed with bartender. My husband ordered a Deschutes Fresh Squeezed and I ordered a red blend wine. Total came to $16 so we asked re happy hour prices. Bartender said their payment machine cannot process the happy hour price for my husband's beer. Really cute bar right off the Truckee River. I've only really visited this bar in the past as part of the wine walk so decided to check it out separately this time. Love the decor in here. The bar is beautiful and I like the cozy library feel. And can't forget the bookshelf that rolls away and reveals the pathway to the restrooms!! We sat right next to the bookshelf and loved watching first timers' reaction to it rolling away! Love that they actually have a specialty cocktails list - coming from mostly drinking in California I'm always surprised at the lack of specialty cocktails lists in Reno bars. I forget what my friends got but I got the Gin Blossom and we all agreed that there were the best cocktails of the night!! Wow! Super fun place! Love the decor...very cozy speakeasy vibe. I felt like we were hanging at a friends house who plays cool music, serves good food and amazing drinks...very relaxing after being on the road for 7 hours. Savannah was our bartender and she was very sweet. She greeted us when we came in and was attentive even tho she was busy...on a Monday night. We ordered a couple of Bees Knees, and Old Fashion, Brie/Pesto bites and the charcuterie tray. Everything was great! Got there a little past midnight this past Saturday night and the bartender informed the bar it was last call right as my party of three entered the door.. When I ordered my drink, he said he "isn't paid hourly" and that he doesn't have to stick around since he's on salary. The new owner himself had apparently just left the bar. Ten minutes after that, he turned on all the lights and told my party and the two other parties there that we had five minutes to get out. Started screeching bar chairs past our tables as we all tried to chug our drinks. Honestly, a terrible experience. read more

We happened upon The Office by chance while I was working in Reno the past 7 days. We visited here twice and were very impressed by the unique decor and how well they take pride in crafting you your favorite drink. Trust me, you will get more bang for your buck here for the same type of drink made in the SL casino. That was our experience anyway. If you happen to hit the happy hour, it's an even more amazing deal. We love finding spots like this to support the local flare wherever we can. This would be a great spot to meet up with friends and enjoy a beverage or two. All their drinks are hand crafted with excellent ingredients, and they even offer several beers on tap as well as several wines. Came by for a quick drink on a Saturday evening around 6pm. The inside has a cool office vibe with bookcases, fake fireplaces, dark colors, red curtains, leather chairs, eclectic decorations, and even a hidden sliding bookshelf door. They have a cocktail menu that is full of a variety of options, I love that they even have some hot cocktails! They also have beer and wine to choose from. I was looking for a mocktail, the bartender made me a pretty pink drink which mostly consisted of soda water and dragonfruit syrup. It was light, refreshing, and just what I was looking for. My husband got a whiskey ginger and my friend got an espresso martini! We all liked our drinks and thought they were appropriately priced. We enjoyed being here for a chill evening to really appreciate the atmosphere, it was very different than when we have come during packed bar crawls in the past. It's really in the heart of downtown, close to everything so walking is a breeze and you don't have to worry about driving especially if your par- taking, then you can park your vehicle in the garage or upfront if there are any spaces available. Hughes and Porter is located across the street from Our Bar and shares a wall with Sierra taphouse. This bar is quirky and has an old fashioned feel. I have been there times now and have been impressed each time. The first was on a reno wine walk. The sangria they were pouring was delicious. Not too sweet. The second time I came in was on date night. My man and I stopped in for some drinks before a dinner reservation. I told the bartender that I love prohibition-era cocktails and he recommended that I try a drink called The Last Chance. I am glad I did! It was delicious and strong! The third time I went was to order another Last Chance. This bar has a relaxed and fun vibe. A great place to gather with a group or come for a romantic date. Came here with a couple of friends last night cause a homie was performing. This is a nice chill hangout bar. Matt the owner truly is a cool dude. Interacts with all his guests and asks if everything is fine. Also covid capacity was also being enforced so that was good. Service here is a1 and the environment was nice chill and vibey. I posted about a not-so-great experience a couple months ago. The owner apologetically reached out and we thought we'd give it another try. I really want to like this place. The decor is great and there's a cozy fireplace sitting area. It has so much potential! I called earlier in the day to find out exactly what they had in the wine and digestives department (because there is not a printed menu for these). After getting the lowdown we showed up at 6:30 on a Saturday night. We had dinner but wanted to settle in with a drink before going home. We got there and the same bartender as before was there. I ordered an Amaro Negro and a Limoncello. She had no idea what I was talking about. After explaining that I called and spoke to Matt earlier and he assured me they had them- she went looking for them. After 15 min and an unanswered text to Matt we left- no drink- second time. I'm not sure why you would place someone unfamiliar with your offerings behind the bar on a Saturday night. In all fairness- she was sweet and she tried. They've spend money on some great inventory but not the time to properly train the staff. read more

I haven't written a review before but I thought with the experience I had at The Office, I would. I stopped in last Thursday on the 14th and there were no menus in the bar and no menu boards posted either. When I asked about why there were no menus, the bartender notified me that the manager threw them away because the new ones were coming but the manager never brought them in. Seems like a weird decision to throw away menus before the new ones arrive. It makes it difficult for a customer to order and I'm sure it's frustrating on the bartender to have to deal with that issue. It took me a few times asking before the bartender could make something as there was the issue of being out of stuff. The bartender was very apologetic and accommodating to the best of their ability with what they had to work with. They were the best part of my experience. The bar and decor looked disorganized and cluttered, like a teenagers bedroom. I'm not sure what the deal is with this place but I won't be going back. read more

It starts out the year as a tour around the world and then upon finishing map, goes to a series of varietal comparisons to finish up the year of midweek wine tastings. The atmosphere was inviting and there was a DJ playing some good jams. They were having a surprise party while we were there so apparently you can reserve the area. This is a great little hangout. They have a good wine selection and spirits as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. The owner Matt is often there seeing to customers.
