Martinov Home Solutions - Quality You Can Trust

Martinov replaced our AC at a price significantly lower than multiple other quotes. The work was…read moredone promptly and (so far as I can tell) very well. We then needed to have them come out for an emergency furnace repair this winter. Not only were they there in less than an hour, they also were able to make the repair (cleaning the flame sensor) without any unnecessary charges or hassle.

So when you're looking for an HVAC contractor/ repair facility, what's your ideal?…read moreMine is one who is honest, has the customer's well-being driving his recommendations, is conscientious, fairly priced, and "owns" his work. I don't think I can say enough positive about this firm or it's owner. My whole house air conditioner's compressor died. He said he could replace the compressor, but this is the last year parts would be available for this unit, ( it's gotta be 25 years old.). It would cost about half of what a new unit would cost, and any future repairs would likely not be possible. We went with the new unit. The next day my house and yard were swarming with HVAC guys. One team replacing the unit outside, the other in the attic removing the old coil, evaporator pan, etc. and replacing them with new. There were, at various times during the day, two company trucks and three private cars parked in our drive, all engaged in the job. Finished in one day, a technician dropped by the next day to check out how things looked in the attic, ( I found out later it had to do with the drainage of the pan and such.) Unfortunately as we had just experienced a huge rare August cool-down, we hadn't turned on the air as of the time of checkup. The next day the heat returned the air went on and all was well until my wife went through the room below the newly replaced coil and pan, and the ceiling was dripping water and sloughing the plaster topcoat from the ceiling. The evaporator pan was not draining properly. Despite the fact that it was about 8:20PM, the contractor raced over, rigged a temporary fix to drain the water outside, and said he would take care of the cost of the repairs. The drywall guys are scheduled to come Monday. So this contractor knew enough to do a drainage check the day after the install, but as luck would have it, the check took place before the problem could have appeared, due to our not having turned on the air, and rather than trying to turn the "finger of blame" towards me for whatever reason, he was appreciative that I wasn't yelling and screaming about the damage, and just said he'd cover the expense. Kudos to him and his upbringing for being honest, forthright and acting with integrity regarding the entire affair. He's definitely my "go to" guy!

I have to say, I'm extremely happy with my experience with Bernard…read more When we realized we needed a new HVAC system, including a furnace, condenser, and humidifier, we started gathering estimates from several very reputable companies. One of the things that immediately stood out about Bernard was not only their willingness to answer our questions, but the patience, thoughtfulness, and detail they put into their answers. They came to our home, assessed our needs, presented us with several options, and took the time to explain the entire process. Their installation coordinator even arrived ahead of the installers to make sure everything was in order and that there would be no surprises. From there, a team of knowledgeable, professional, and well-trained technicians completed the installation of our new Lennox Elite system. What really impressed me was that they handled everything. If new plumbing was required, they took care of it. If electrical work needed to be done, they handled that too. If new venting was necessary, they did it. There was no passing the buck or bringing in someone else, we had a team that was prepared to take care of the entire job. They were professional throughout the installation and, importantly, left our home in better condition than they found it. Our new thermostat is incredibly high-tech and is even set up to alert Bernard to potential issues before we may know there is a problem. That level of proactive service gives us a lot of peace of mind. Of course, with any new system, we had a few follow-up questions and items that needed attention. When we reached out by email, the company's VP responded personally and even provided his direct number so we could contact him if needed. Within a week, every outstanding question and item had been addressed. And honestly, that's what matters. People, money doesn't come easily anymore, and everything is more expensive than it used to be. When you're making a significant investment in your home, you want to know that you're spending your money with a company that will be there not just to collect the check, but to answer questions, stand behind their work, and take care of you afterward. Bernard has absolutely done that for us. I would highly recommend Bernard to my family and friends. From the initial consultation through installation and follow-up, they have been professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely committed to doing things right.

Now getting estimates to replace furnace and a/c after wasting money. Not happy.
