We interviewed 3 paint company's and while Lee's Painting was not the cheapest they were close and David just had an outstanding personality and answered all our questions. To our great satisfaction we chose Lee's and were glad we did. A paint job is only going to be as good as the prep and the workers did a wonderful job of preparing our house for painting. From water blasting the accumulated dirt on our house to scraping and sanding the peeling paint they did that and more. They replaced an area that had wood rot with new wood and repaired a couple of areas that had peeling stucco with new stucco. When they were ready to paint they made sure to seal off our windows, doors, concrete walkways and driveway so as not to get any paint where it's not wanted. We are so happy we chose Lee's painting for our project! They painted the exterior of our house and did so much more than painting. We got several quotes from painters before starting the project and most of them could not do all of the work that Lee's was able to do. We had some water damage to our wood siding and most painters wanted to patch it, which would only last a year or two. Lee's was able to completely replace some of the wood siding panels, making the home look like new. And they also prepped the panels to last longer since we are near the ocean and get a lot of moisture. It was nice that we didn't need to hire a separate handyman or contractor for this small job. They also went out of their way to replace some broken roof tiles that they noticed before they started the job. We supplied them with the tiles, and they did the work to replace them. I was blown away by this level of service! I worked with David Lee during the project, and he was such a pleasure to work with. Great communication and very thoughtful with keeping us updated on the progress. They used high quality Dunn Edwards paint and used the correct sheen for each surface to maximize the life of the paint. They were able to complete the project in 5 days and even had 7 people on the job one day to finish a lot of work before rain came in. At the end of the project they walked the house with us to make sure we were satisfied and also ensured us they would come out for any touch-ups if needed. We haven't found any issues and they did a great job overall. Their price was also very reasonable and right in line with the other quotes we received. DO NOT HAVE YOUR HOUSE PAINTED BY THIS COMPANY! I have dealt with many contractors over the years, had a complete kitchen remodel and it was a wonderful experience. Working with Mr. Lee was the worst experience in my life, he painted the exterior of the house, within 6 months paint start bubbling on the side of the house (I should have taken pictures), and flaking and chipping off in various other area on the house. I contact Mr. Lee, he corrected and left a mess of all peeled paint in my garden and walkway. Within a few months more flaking and chipping, the entire side of my house was flaking. He was ignoring my calls at first, then came out to correct. More flaking and chipping occurred, he completely ignored my calls and voicemails. The last text correspondence I had with Mr. Lee he said I cannot satisfy you, I only came out to correct because I was referred by Randy. Please don't bother me any more. He wasn't doing me a favor, I paid his company to have my house painted. read more

Completed another project with David and his crew on a rental unit that sustained some major water damage. I hired Lee's during the restoration process and told him at the end of the day, I need the place "ready to be sold" and he did just that - thanks to David and his crew, the place photographed so well and is now in escrow! (See photos) I could end this update here BUT I wanted to put into perspective why Lee's Painting (and David) really really deserve their great reviews. So many of these skilled labor businesses (and most businesses in general) have great reviews when things are smooth sailing. It's really when things get complicated that true colors show. This job was ALOT bigger and complications were probably inevitable due to the massive amount of work and coordination going on but it was also made worse by covid, shutdowns, and insurance payouts. I will even admit there were a few uncomfortable conversations - and it was nobody's fault other than the conditions we were working under. I've had too many experiences with contractor type people with horrible attitudes (not to mention work ethics) when expectations start to differ. David was not like this at all. Even when situations were stressful for both of us, he maintained mutual respect, understanding, and communication and that was what ultimately got this job done on a happy note! Sadly, I feel like this line of work seems to attract ego driven so called "business owners" who don't understand the first thing about taking pride in their business and maintaining professional long-term relationships. I'm so glad I found Lee's Painting and I just hope they don't leave this line of business because they have earned my full trust and I will always need painters! read more
