I do not think that they even do a full inspection on the cars that come in and IF they do it is just for their knowledge but they DO NOT fix anything. They did not even fix clips for something on my car that was an EASY fix. If you want to immediately have to buy new brakes and tires then I would buy from them but if not the don't. If I could, I would give this dealership 0 stars! Beware of their "powertrain warranty!" I bought a vehicle from here and within 6 months the engine was misfiring. My 11 month old baby and I ended up broken down alongside the highway in December in 20 degree weather freezing to death unable to run the car while we waited 4 hours for a tow truck. At first, we called the "roadside service " number which is all automated and when we finally speak to a person they are in India and we can barely hear them on the phone. After spending an hour on the phone, they send me a text with a link indicating where the tow truck is picking us up...well that map indicated we were in a different state clear across the country! So, I called the dealership directly and spoke with the service manager. He gave me the name and number of the tow truck company they use for the roadside service so I could call them directly. Never once did he mention that by calling them directly I would be footing the $400 tow bill! My baby and I waited a total of 4 hours in freezing temperatures for a tow truck to arrive unable to run the engine! When we finally get to the dealership with the car in tow, I wait another 4 hours with my hungry tired baby for Keith to tell me they have no loaner cars, and they're unable to get me a rental car so I'm just gonna have to walk. Two days before Christmas, they offer me a loaner/ rental car that I will have to pay for until repairs are completed. So, my 11 month old, my 6 year old, and myself spend 3 weeks without a car while the engine gets replaced under the "warranty. " During the 3 weeks no one from the dealership calls or texts to update me on anything unless I call first and leave a message then wait days for them to get back to me. When the car is finally finished, they tell me I have to pay $500 for the new engine that was covered under the warranty and the $400 tow bill. I am beyond disappointed with their customer service and transparency of this matter. I feel like they sold me a lemon, then used it as an opportunity to swindle every dollar out of me they could. I would highly recommend running as fast as you can away from this place. read more

Very unprofessional and bordering dishonorable business. Made the mistake of acting on their acceptance of my purchase offer. Finance employees are misleading, even when I did not need a loan. Their service and shop is worse, grossly misrepresented their time estimate to complete an agreed accessory installation. Then delivered the car in a dirty state with a shop glue all over the driver's and sliding door's frame. Their workmanship appear very low. Cannot recommend. Update. They ultimately reimbursed me for repairs to their poor work completed by another dealer. They also reimbursed me for getting a professional detail to remove and clean the glue and trash left on/in my car. Completely unacceptable. They are unable to compensate for my time. After working here for almost a year, I would definitely recommend this place for any position, and for anyone with any personality, because you would really fit in, if you worked properly and did your job. Everyone has a friendly attitude, it really makes you feel like you are working with a second family. From my first day until my last, every employee had a positive attitude from not knowing me, to knowing a lot. I would not have expected such an awesome outcome from a dealership, but at the end. The work was done well. This was a $1700 job. The discrepancy was in a discount that I was told I got but didn't. The service rep said see her next time and she would give me some free work but would not give me anything to show this promised discount. I called in after the weekend and left a message with her supervisor to call me but have not received a call back. After a few more days I left a message for the service mgr to give me a call but after waiting 4 more days, no call back again. Cannot get any response. Who should I try to call next. I took my Honda CR-V here to get a small gasket replaced for leaking oil. They replaced it and a few weeks later i noticed that it was leaking worse than before. I took it back in and they said it was leaking from another spot not the gasket they replaced. I ended up taking it to another Honda dealership who told me in fact that it was still leaking from the same gasket. When i went back to Honda of Lee's summit all they would say is it was now past the replacement part warranty and would do nothing. Curt C. read more

Firstly, I didn't end up buying a car here. I was genuinely interested in buying a Civic, but the customer service turned me off. Arriving there, I was immediately greeted by a sales associate. Before test driving, he asked me what other cars I was interested in. After telling him, I was basically scoffed at for it not being a Honda. I understand you have to promote your own product working at a car dealership, but belittling your customer is a huge turn off and immediately rubbed me wrong. Other dealerships I had visited didn't belittle me for looking at other car brands, and were willing to discuss the pros and cons with me. After about 20 minutes at the dealership, I decided to leave mostly because I wasn't ready to commit to anything yet. Of course two different sales associates tried to persuade me to buy a Civic, which was fine, nothing too ridiculous. I ended up buying a non-Honda car two days later, an amazing car that I'm really happy with the purchase of. I received a phone call from the original sales associate I was speaking with. I answered the phone and informed him that I ended up buying a car, and that I no longer was searching. The associate gave a snobby "Well I hope you like it" and hung up. Honda makes great cars, and I would recommend them for anyone looking for an inexpensive and reliable car, but maybe buy one from a dealership that shows a little more respect for its potential customers. I would understand the snobby attitude if I took up hours of this associate's time, and processed a lot of info. No info was processed, and I spent 20 minutes on the lot. This review is for the sales department- I live in St Louis and had been looking for the right car for a while. I found the perfect 2013 Subaru Forester on LSH's website and put the car on hold after talking to Leslie. She was very helpful and made the process easy. I flew into KC and picked up the car yesterday. Austen and Darryl helped me to close the sale. They had already detailed the car and prepared paperwork before I arrived. All I had to do was test drive, talk about financing/warranties and sign. The paperwork didn't take long, they made sure I was 100% comfortable with everything, patiently answered all of the questions I had, (I'm not very knowledgeable about cars and likely asked some stupid questions!) and had me out the door in about two hours. It was not the all day, stressful situation I've learned to expect from other dealerships! This was definitely the best experience I've had buying a car. My family only purchases Honda's and this is my first but my families third experience with this specific dealership and thus far all over great! Also within a few days of getting my car one of the back taillights went out, contacted Tim and got it all taken care of quickly and there weren't any hidden charges after it got fixed! Female, senior citizens come in alone and do not be afraid to be taken advantage of or feel patronized by these younger guys. They treated me with respect and did not show me any cars that they didn't think I could afford or was interested in. As it turned out I had to ask for a higher priced, new car than what I had originally thought I wanted. After the sale I was given follow up care and advice. I was never pressured to purchase any warranty services I didn't want. It was a breeze and I walked out a couple of hours later with keys in hand. My CR-V is affected by the Takata airbag recall. The dealership told me it could take a few months until a replacement part is available. In the meantime, I have been supplied with a rental vehicle from Enterprise. The indemnification agreement I signed states that I may choose to have the dealership tow my car to my garage without a fee. After taking possession of the rental, I contacted the dealership to arrange the tow. The sales manager, Coranne, transferred me to another service person who referred me to Honda's national call center. He told me that the dealership's role is to "put on a smilong face while angry people call and yell at them about the scary letter they received", referring to the recall notice. I had been and remained professional, so I found the language he chose to be inappropriate. I contacted Honda directly and they told me that the dealership should be arranging the tow for me, but since my experience was so poor they took my request. However, they did tell me that it would be resolved more quickly through the dealership. The next day (today, 4/6/16) I called the dealership again, hoping they could take care of towing my vehicle, as stated in the agreement I signed. I spoke with the service manager again and she said that I would need to personally deliver proof of ownership before providing a tow service. I asked her if I could e-mail proof of ownership and she said no. I asked her why and she said "just because". I then asked to speak with her manager, but I was transferred back to her own voicemail. I called the dealership again and left a voicemail with the sales manager an hour ago. I have been inconvenienced by this recall through no fault of my own. Additionally, I have had a terrible customer experience. Lee's Summit Honda should abide by the agreement I signed and tow the potentially dangerous vehicle to my home. The treatment I have received reflects poorly not only on the dealership, but the Honda brand as a whole. read more

I've used LS Honda for the last several service appointments and have been very pleased with their service and follow up. They usually have to order parts which is an issue as it usually requires another visit. The shuttle is prompt and the drivers are courteous. Prices, while high, are standard dealer prices. After denying the need for close to six months, my wife and I finally admitted that with three kids under 5 we needed a minivan. After having done a ton of research online and visiting a number of dealers, we decided on the Honda Odyssey and payed a visit to our local Honda dealer - LS Honda. From the moment I waled into the dealership, I was warmly greeted and received phenomenal customer service. Both Austen and Eddy walked me through the process and allowed me to look at, touch, sit in, and test drive at least 4 different model (various trim, colors, and options). Once we settled on a specific trim level, there was minimal haggling as the price was fair and competitive. From there, it was just paperwork and a couple minutes in the finance office - no pressure, no upsell, no scare tactics, just a friendly smile and a few signatures. Honestly, I had to wait around an extra 10 minutes because the detail guys weren't done after I finished signing docs! I think it's safe to say we've found a local dealer in MO that we'll be using for a long time. read more

Update as of 01/06/20:Chris Stevens contacted me first thing this morning and stated that he would send two employees out to my residence to look at my car, fix it, put oil in it, drive to shop, further fix vehicle, perform an oil change, and look over my car to ensure that no damage was done. I was extremely happy with this outcome and informed him that if this issue had been handled like this in the first place then all of this could have been avoided. When Jason Stevenson and Zack Mathis arrived at my house to fix my car they were apologetic and empathetic. They cleaned up the oil in my driveway to the best of their ability and were very nice gentleman. My car was returned back to in an hour. Five stars for Chris, Jason, and Zack and their willingness to go above and beyond for the service of customers. One star for Ryan for picking up the phone. I hope he gets some training from the 3 guys above regarding customer service so that his customer service skills improve. Thank you Chris, Jason, and Zach for turning my horrible experience into a more pleasant one. I appreciate your willingness to listen and fix this problem. Original Post: Our 2014 Honda Odyssey received an oil change on 7-23-19. When we walked outside this morning we noticed a huge pile of fresh oil under the van. My husband looked under the car and noticed the oil drain bolt had backed it's way out becoming unscrewed. We also noticed dried oil spots on our drive way. We drive this vehicle back and forth to Georgia and Missouri multiple times hence the high mileage. My husband contacted the dealership and after being informed by the service advisor there was nothing he could do so we asked to speak to the service advisor manager. We informed the service manager, Ryan of the issue, our car being completely drained out of oil, and that they were the last ones to service our car. Ryan told us that is 1. "impossible for it to back out at 9000 miles. It would have backed out at 2000 miles" and 2. "Your car has been tampered with." These statements were his only solution to the problem. He offered no other solutions and we were told nothing can be done. My mother and brother both work at 2 dealerships in Georgia and after contacting them, I know this to be untrue. I also spoke to a service technician who stated that it is very possible that a oil drain bolt can back out at any mileage if it is not torqued to the proper specifications for the vehicle (especially if the bolt is hand screwed). Now, after driving back and forth to Georgia AND more importantly driving with a 3year old, something could have happened to our engine at any point on one of our drives. The fact that Ryan the service advisor manager acted as though we are stupid and know nothing about vehicles makes me angry. With a master's degree myself and family that works at a two different car dealerships in the service department for 20+ years, I can assure you that I nor my family are stupid. As of right now, I am without a car AND without a solution to this problem. We have currently filed a complaint with corporate, waiting on a call back from the GM, and have filed a complaint with the BBB. I am not one to go to this length, BUT given the responses from Ryan the service advisor manager at LSH and his customer service approach I will go to this to make sure that no one else is treated this way. To say that 1. It's impossible for this issue to happen at 9000 miles are strong words to use when an individual has not read, researched, or witnessed every vehicle issue related to an oil drain bolt in this state, country or world AND 2. To suggest the theory that my vehicle was tampered with without looking at my car and producing evidence to uphold such theory is absurd and ignorant. If my vehicle was tampered with then I should be contacting local news to report that an oil drain bolt bandit is on the loose and to notify all near by residents to protect their dear loved vehicles from such a villain. From sales to financing, the entire process was a hassle with terrible communication. Long story short I was sent home with a different car (same model different features). It took forever to get the car switched out and at one point they just stopped responding to my emails. Financing blew through paperwork and the whole thing felt slimy and dishonest. After two great buying experiences, it was ruined after my first oil change. A couple months after my first oil change, I climbed under my car noticed that my skid plate was missing 4 plastic clips and 3 screws had been stripped! This goes to show the Lee's Summit Honda service department has NO quality control. They cannot even replace plastic clips and screws that they stripped. I will say that after a strongly worded email, I was invited back to have the problem fixed. When I arrived, I was not greeted with a manager, or anyone that knew of my arrival. Never received an apology or explanation. I highly recommend having your a service as simply as an oil change be completed somewhere else. Completely disappointed. read more

I went to Lees Summit Honda after having done my research online and visiting a couple of other dealerships. I simply wanted to know if they could give me a better deal than the previous two dealerships. I met with a lady (can't remember her name) who was great. We talked numbers for about 5 -10 minutes and a deal was made. Simple as that. There was no trying to upsell me, no BS about why their dealership was the best (take note Jay Wolfe Honda!). Just two grown individuals making a transaction. Thought that would be the best part, but was I wrong. When talking to Don, the finance guy, again there was no guilt trip laid on to buy their extended warranty. He made a really good argument for why I should get one, I said no and we moved on. That had never happened to me before at a dealership. Once the car was bought, I wanted to get it tinted, so I worked with Sean who was a gem and a customer service pro. He offered me a loaner car while my car was getting tinted which took all of 2 minutes to get that taken care of. Honestly, I have never had such an easy car buying experience. Dare I say, even pleasurable. Everyone I worked with was courteous and efficient and I never left like I was getting the runaround. I bought a car here August of 2019. Don Sr. was my sales representative, and he was simply amazing! Honestly wish I could buy all my cars from him! As far as the rest of customer service goes, that is why it's a 3 star rating. I have tried to get ahold of finance for three weeks now and still nothing in response. I received two new tires out of the deal, but the other two were more than half the tread of the new ones, which is terrible for an AWD vehicle. I would love to rave about this dealership, but I honestly can't. Just make sure you if you buy used here, that you go and get a used car inspection from someone you trust. Our shopping experience at Lee's Summit was great. We contacted 4 Honda Dealerships in the area and even others out of state to find the best price on a new CRV and Rob Weiner truly bent over backwards to make sure we not only had the best buying experience but we were given the best deal BY FAR. Nobody locally could compete with their prices nor customer service. Another thing that we really appreciated is that he not only did Rob matched the best price we found, but he ordered the exact color/model of CRV we were looking for, other dealers weren't even interested on selling anything that wasn't in-stock let alone matching Lee's summit pricing. We were really happy with the whole experience and highly recommend visiting Lee's Summit when looking for a Honda, and if you are there ask for Rob (or set up an appointment with him in advance, which is what we did). read more

WOW, seeing all these bad reviews, I'm a little taken back. I found some vehicles at LS Honda from the internet. I called Leslie H. to check inventory and told her, I am out of state, and I would be down on a Saturday afternoon. Leslie asked me "How much do you want to spend"? I thought, that was respectable, A father of 3 children, I have purchased enough vehicles to say, "this stuff is getting old", but know one has ever asked me how much I want to spend. In the past, they all want me to over spend, for their bottom line. Leslie's tone of voice was like a department store employee, trying to fit you into the right purchase and not the store trying to fit them into the right purchase. Justin K. set up an appointment with me for that Saturday. When I arrived, I told Justin, which CR-V's I would like to take a look at and test drive. Two were sold and two, Justin got them washed and ready to test. The questions I asked Justin, if he didn't have an answer, he said he would ask his boss. It wasn't like, tell me what I want to hear, not at all. I feel Justin was honest with all of my questions, which reflects LS Honda culture. Test drove one and than decided to negotiate on that CR-V, I test drove. I purchased a 2015 CR-V for $46.00 more than my local town was selling a 2014 CR-V, same trim. Justin threw in a set of weather matts, and to my surprise, topped off the gas tank. The gas tank was at 1/4 of a tank, when I was test driving, but full when I was leaving LS Honda. The 3 hours I spent at LS Honda, I never picked up any unfriendly service, anything that would lead me to think they had themselves in mind. I did not feel pressured in any conversations I had with any employee, at LS Honda. I feel their customer service is a 5 star. I am very satisfied with my experience at LS Honda. Jim. read more

Purchased a 2020 Ridgeline last Friday. Love the truck. I was very disappointed in there Covid response. Employees and customers did wear masks but many of employees didn't wear them correctly. Unfortunately that negates the purpose of the mask. The only hand sanitizer that was available was in the finance office. Pens were not sanitized, so not sure how many people had touched them. These are the simple things that will help us get through this pandemic safely. read more
