Absolutely horrible service department. I went in last week to have my oil changed. They said my rear brakes were down to about the size of a nickel. They wanted $350.00 to replace. I first asked why the backs wore down faster than the front because it should be opposite. He said that on some vehicles they are set up to use more back brake. Huh??? I then asked how a $30.00 part cost so much. He said they also flip and resurface the rotor. Huh??? You dont flip and resurface its one or the other and its a new truck the rotors are perfect. I went to the auto parts store and spent $30.00 on brake pads and it took me 45min to put them on. BTW my brake pads were only about 1/2 way worn. They didnt even need changed. This is the 2nd bad experience I have had with them. read more

Received a quote to install two nuts that need a special tool. It'd be five minutes total, not each. They quoted $65 for each one, so $130 total for five minutes of work. Instead, I can buy the tool for half that, or rent it online for $10. I'll be doing the work myself, and if this is how they run their business, I won't be using them for any other work either. read more

I wrote a review for Lee's Summit Honda several months and am sorry to see it is no longer on Yelp. Since it contained both positive and negatives aspects of my experiences with Lee's Summit Honda, I am disappointed to see it was removed (makes me wonder if the reviews are being filtered (*deleted*)). Overview: Lee's Summit Honda has a nice facility, sells new and used Honda, and can perform most service needs. As someone whom has purchased a vehicle and had them perform maintenance on that and a previous Honda vehicle, my experience with Lee's Summit Honda has been mixed and that is why I gave them three stars. Facility: Nice facility, easy to drop-off and pick-up vehicle, customer reps. meet you when you pull into the garage, etc. There is also a nice waiting area, as well as an area for the children. I like that parts and payment counters are not in the basement or some dark corner, but easily accessible from the garage for customer ease and in case there are customer questions. Purchase: I purchased a Honda Accord from Lee's Summit Honda (my first from them) and found the experience frustrating and disappointing. The sales rep. literally left the table five times during our discussions and negotiations. The entire process took over three hours! He was one more trip away from the table and minutes from losing me as a customer. If the sales reps. are not empowered to negotiate with customers and "close the deal", then management at Lee's Summit Honda is really providing a awful disservice to their customers. In the end, I did not purchase the Honda vehicle I truly wanted and the dealership lost money by not selling me a higher-end vehicle. I will visit Lee's Summit Honda for my next Honda, but if that experience starts like my past experience, I am never coming back (there are lots of Honda dealerships in town and elsewhere). Excluding the vehicle purchase, I would have given them four stars. Service: My experience with the Lee's Summit Honda service has been mostly positive. My improvement recommendations are: * Always Call customers when you say you will call them * Always fix the car when you say you are going to and forget the excuses (your customers don't care, we just want our cars fixed) Pricing: While there is sometimes a standard hourly rate and amount of time to complete specific service tasks, I have found this is not necessary the case when comparing Honda dealerships. For example, the service quotes provided to me by Lee's Summit Honda found their hourly rate is less than one of the other, significant Honda dealerships in town. Nonetheless, the time to complete the service was sometimes longer, so the service may actually cost more, even with the lower hourly rate. My recommendation is to shop around. Reputable Honda dealerships will freely provide this information. The price for oil changes and similar service is pretty consistent with the local dealerships (Honda or otherwise) in the area. Their prices for dealer installed Honda parts, such as fog lights, spoilers, interior trim, and other accessories, are beyond ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and buy the parts from one of the many reputable Honda parts dealerships and resellers on-line, then have a local Honda dealership install them (I did this, but had another, closer dealership perform the work. Saved me almost 40% on the Lee's Summit Honda quoted price!). Customer Service: Customer service for service type work has been pretty good (hence, the suggest four stars above), but not great (hence the Service improvement suggestions above). As a whole, I will take my Honda back for service at this dealership. Conclusion: Lee's Summit Honda is a good dealership, but they need to make some significant improvements in the new/used car sales areas, while reinforcing solid customer service in the service areas. read more

Buying a car from Lee Summit Honda was a great experience. It was different from other car dealers, where there are 5 salesmen perched on the curb like vultures waiting for you to stop at the first car that gets your attention so they can swoop in. Instead, he I was greeted by a nice greeter who introduced me to a salesmen. John took me on a test drive that was so complete that I knew everything about the car and all it's features by time we were done. From there I went home to think about it. No pressure no sales tactics we did everything else by email. Numbers were transparent and as it turned out there was nothing hidden. Kayla John and Leslie were great and I would recommend that team to anyone buying a car. Thanks for the great car buying experience. Just coming here to say I don't recommend buying a used vehicle from here as they sell lemons. I bought my FIRST car here a little over a year ago and it's been the worlds biggest nightmare. The same day I made my first car payment four hours later the car left me stranded on the side of the road due to a FAILED transmission. Ended up getting it fixed, then the whole starter went out, needed replaced. Here we are a little over a year later and now the whole car's engine is blown. Along with a bad compressor, this car has been the biggest piece of junk I've ever had to deal with, just forked out 5k (what I owe) to have a vehicle that runs like crap and is constantly having a major issues. I just got the car back from Nissan "fixing" it & it still sounds the same as before the engine blew. Yes Honda has nothing to do with the crappy repairs but they did sell me the worlds biggest JUNK. Just wanna warn people that not every experience or car is good... mines been the worst thing I've ever dealt with and literally makes me never wanna purchase a vehicle again . I hate that they did this to me!!!! I thought I'd avoided the junky car lots but I guess this one had me fooled. & now I'm stuck with a vehicle that spends 95% of its time sitting in my driveway. read more

Very difficult to deal with. My car is currently parked in my garage with expired temp tags due to the incompetence of this dealership. Waited so weeks for paperwork to get my tags from the dealership. After emailing back abs forth I drove the hour back to the dealership to get the paperwork they said they already mailed. Good thing I did since when I received it it wasn't even complete. Still waiting on my tags and the dealership says they can't do anything about extending the temp tags. Aside from that (which is the most frustrating) they are by far the worst dealership I've dealt with in 15 years. Very responsive when they want your sale but not afterwards. It was like pulling teeth to get approved for the vehicle due to trying to register it in my home state. I've never had this issue in three other states. They kept messing up the paperwork for a higher price probably in hopes that I would get frustrated and just sign and let them pocket another $1,300 over the life of the loan. I was told they mailed us the title only to find out that wasn't correct and I had to send additional paperwork to Texas to get it. Sat for over four hours to finalize paperwork (after everything had already been negotiated) and was never offered a bottle of water. I was told there was a vending machine I could use. That's fine but it's pretty standard to offer water from every dealership I've been to. The only reason they get two stars is because they were cheaper than all the other dealerships. This dealership was a disappointment to me. I was looking for a used 2014 RAV4 that should have been able to be negotiated . After the salesman and manager would only come down $500 on a vehicle that had higher miles, I took my business to Eddy's and they gave me a better car, less miles, and NEW tires for way less and negotiated with me a LOT more. I've been using Lee's Summit Honda for years for routine oil changes and maintenance on my Honda Odyssey. This past weekend it came time for a new vehicle. In the same day I got a call from Austen with a great deal on a 2016 Fusion that was a prior lease vehicle. The whole experience was low pressure and they worked with my situation and limitations even if that wasn't what the originally wanted to do. Kayla, Austen (sales), Don (finance) and the sales manager were awesome. Don worked to get me great terms on my loan. In the end the terms were better than originally projected. I would give it 0 stars if I could! My husband and I have lost ALL CONFIDENCE in this Dealership. I trusted them and took their word for everything and gosh I feel gullible and stupid for taking our vehicles here. The service department is absolutely HORRIBLE- Terrible service experiences, poor diagnosis and workmanship, and high prices! After several awful customer experiences I started taking our vehicles to a different repair shop they discovered multiple repairs and maintenance that I had paid for had not been completed or was completed incorrectly and repairs had been misdiagnosed. My husband and I will NEVER step foot in that dealership again- even to purchase a new Honda when it comes time. We experienced everything from both front wheels almost falling off after new tires were installed because the lug nuts were over tightened and the lug studs were being pulled through the hub, to being lied to from the service manager about a CV boot being torn after a transmission seal was replaced and the manager wanted us to pay for it, to misdiagnose on a brake issue when I was told the brake pads needed to be shimmed- brake hardware just needed to be lubed and serviced because 2 of the pins where seized- the new shop discovered this in two seconds JUST BY THE TECH LOOKING AT IT (simple fix that Honda could not figure out), to the valve cover gasket leaking oil after the 110k mile maintenance performed then they pointed it out and gave me an estimate on how much money it was going to cost me to fix it, to an oil sensor having a severe leak several times. I could go on, and on, and on... This was over the course of about 2-3 years with both our vehicles. Try going to Otto's 816.358.4454- they specialize in Honda and Acura- and the dirty little secret- they send service vehicles to be repaired there that their techs don't have the training or are unable to diagnose. Otto's even has loaner vehicles for $ 10 while your vehicle is being repaired. Steer clear of this Dealership! read more

ZERO STARS!!! I brought my 2013 honda accord into Lees Summit Honda to have a sunroof repair which was caused by an unfortunate accident involving teenagers. Happened on Tuesday February 10th. Called Honda and found out the pricing and had scheduled an appointment for that Friday to bring it in. was told that insurance may be able to cover it so i called in the morning and put in a claim, went home to get the car and took it straight to Honda on Wednesday February 11th. First my thinking is that I am taking it to HONDA which the car is a HONDA so they should know what they are doing right? WRONG! My service advisor was new and i didn't find that out til after. So they went back and forth and got the parts authorized thru the insurance...well after waiting a week for parts the part came in cracked! If they even used a new part cause at this point it makes me wonder. Finally got the call on February 26th that my car was ready to go and be picked up. I got there the next day to pick up and the car was not put back together right. The headliner was either not in the right place or other stuff wasn't but around the edges of the headliner there were visible spaces that should have been sealed. the plastic pieces in the back on the sides of the window were not installed right. everything should be flushed!! the spaces in the headliner were big enough for me to put my fingers in it a pull the edges of the headliner. Funny how the drivers side was fine. also notice a visible indention on the headliner itself like they bent it trying to put it in and all i could think of is later on down the road I'm gonna have to get thumbtacks to tack it back up!! So at that point i was like Im not happy and I don't want to pick it up. My first mistake was I had already paid for it before it was done! Three services advisors looked at it and seen the imperfections. so they said okay we will order a new headliner but go ahead and take it and we will call you when its in and you can bring it up and we will put you in another vehicle til its done. I said okay! They called me Thursday March 12 to tell me the new headliner should be there on Saturday. So i waited cause they never got parts on time so i didn't want to waste my time. Got the call on Thursday March 19th that it was in fact in so I went up there and they put me in a loaner car, which the rest of the time I didn't have a loaner vehicle. they called me on Friday and said "weeeeeeeellll we didn't put the new headliner in and just decided to take it up to Subaru and have the crease steamed out and it worked! so you can come pick up your vehicle." Im thinking yeah right! So I go there after work on Friday and look at it...you can't see the crease but you can feel it! its cause the fabric is separated from whatever backing that was bent so at this point I see thumb tacks in my future! Some of the gap were smaller but still there and of course they guy thats been calling me wasn't there and another guy helped me. told him it wasn't to my satisfaction and that there are still gaps! I told him if I got something in writing that says if i have problems with this later you will fix it then I will take the car. Its over a $30,000 vehicle and it shouldn't look like trash! he said well i don't know whats going on with it and I would have to talk to brad when he gets in just stay in the loaner and I will be in touch...he also said I understand its a fairly new vehicle and you want to keep it nice. Got a call from David Rogers Monday March 23who is the Main Man! Says verbatim "Im calling and brad is sitting here with me. they got me involved and i went out and looked at your headliner and i don't see any crease at all and the headliner looks really good except you got a couple stain spots, water spots when the sunroof had been open before but um he told me where the crease was and i could not see it and I'm not going to be able to put a new headliner in there when i don't find any problem with this one. headliners a $700 uh item and i can't pay just to replace it cuz you want it replaced if there was indeed something uh really wrong with the headliner then i can see that but there isn't so your car is steady to go as far as we are gonna do anything with it umm so give us a call back when your coming to pick yours up i guess you have a rental our number here is 8162518750 thank u." called him back and never got a hold of him! went there today Tuesday March 24th to have him look at it with me and he wasn't there. asked the girl in the office so i can show her what i see. then she got a hold of david and she played dumb. I even told her that if you take me around this lot and show me that the car is suppose to have gaps then i will accept it! well she said dave was at the doctor cause he woke up with a sty in his eye (KARMA) and s=he said to tai the car leave the loaner and try to catch him another day! need less to say I am not happy!! read more

I bought an SUV from Lees Summit Honda on May 30, 2015. I LOVED the sales woman, Katherine Lemon. She followed through with everything she said she was going to do. Katherine was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the vehicle. As a woman, I felt more comfortable asking her questions I wouldn't ask a male salesman. I even told her during the buying process one of my children at home needed me and she made it as quick as she could. I ended up having an issue later with obtaining the title so I could not license the vehicle. It was not the dealership's fault, as it needed to come from somewhere else versus Honda. In the end, the dealership, stepped up and made everything right. Eric, one of the managers, went over and beyond making me happy as well as Curtis, the GM. It has been four weeks now that I purchased a Ford truck from LSH. Two days of having it the transmission starts acting up. Played phone tag for several days with Nick Shaw and a guy called AJ. Oh and emails from Brandon Blond wanting my review. Finally, AJ and Brandon ask if I can bring the vehicle in for their mechanics to look at. (2 hour drive for me and missed day of work). So I get there and LSH mechanics can't figure it out and ask me to take it to Blue Springs Ford. I do and of course they aren't expecting me. I leave the truck and BSF hooks me up with a loaner car. Next day I get a call from BSF with the estimate and also that Jason Dodds from LSH has refused to pay it. Jason is a new name to me but why would AJ and Brandon have asked me to bring the truck back if they were not going to repair it. BSF repairs the truck because I need my truck. I take another day off from work and retrieve it. Here we are four weeks in and no one from LSH will return calls. I will not be purchasing another vehicle from LSH and I'm not going to quit calling, Lee Summit Honda should stand behind their sales! Teresa K. read more

He and his co-workers had to order my car as I wanted a different color than what they had on the lot. It came in a few days before the promised date and had only 5 miles on it-- can't get much newer than that. Every time I go there for an oil change, they take at least 2 hours- way too long for an oil change. I called earlier this week to schedule an oil change and asked if they had shuttle service to take me to/from work as I have been so busy and the oil change is overdue. I had no other time to take the car in as the service takes to long to complete. So, they had the shuttle take me to work. Then when the work was done, they told me they "don't have enough manpower" to send a shuttle to pick me up. Not impressed. read more

I just bought Honda Accord week. It is my first Honda and I tried it at the urging of my brother and my mechanic. They stand by it being extremely reliable. I like the car and all of its safety features, in addition to that I am very impressed with the people at the dealership. I was comfortable throughout the buying experience. The salesman, Nick James, negotiated what I believe was a fair deal for both my trade in and the new car I purchased, he came in on his day off to close the deal, he programmed the car for me, took the time to show me how to use everything, and when I got my plates days later I brought them in and he put them on for me. Darrell, the finance guy from Australia was extremely helpful and explained everything until I was comfortable with it. I believe we are off to a great start and I think this will be a good experience for the duration of the time that I have this car. I will keep you posted. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced with my car. I got $1700 worth of work done back in July. Another problem came up a couple weeks ago. I called and before I could even schedule an appointment, they were trying to tell me work that I needed to have done to my car. Once I explained to them what I need done and problems I encountered they scheduled me an appointment. My car was in the shop for 2 days. When it was returned the problem still was not fixed. Both understood my situation and were very helpful throughout the process. They were persistent but not to the point where it was annoying. I asked for the name of his supervisor, new car manager Don Johnson, and he literally blew me off. Eventually I was hooked up with Jason Heard and Sean Ritchey who provided excellent service. I could not ask more of these gentlemen. Sarah in the warranty department was also quite helpful. So I have had this van for 7 months now and have put a little over 12,000 miles on it. It has been in the shop 7 times in the last 6 months for the same issue. The radio randomly stops working and when it stops, the HVAC controls are useless as well. I keep getting the run around that Panasonic made the radio and they are at the mercy of Panasonic to write a software update to fix the issue. The problem is, I am not offered a loaner or rental and am stuck having to disconnect the battery terminal once or twice a week to reset everything in order to get the radio and HVAC to work again. The dealership apparently thinks this is acceptable. I have tried to call Jason Heard but nobody at the dealership knows his schedule to let me know when I can come meet with him. A call to the number he listed in his response results in nothing but a transfer to his voicemail. I do not want a call back because I work nights and prefer not to be disturbed while sleeping. I would rather meet in person and discuss the problems face to face but nobody knows how to make that happen. I really wish there was a single good thing I could say about this dealership but I honestly can't. read more

Since 1star is the lowest you can give. Don't bother going here. I had purchased or leased 4 vehicles from Lee's Summit Honda but I'm done. Bought a 2016 civic for my daughter and 3 1/2 weeks later the battery is dead. Haven't even made a payment yet. Dealership won't stand by their vehicles and it's my problem now. Battery should have been tested and no one really is sure if it was or was not. After speaking to the sales manager Jeff, he clearly could care less. But I got a taste of that the first night I was there to purchase the car when my sales person and I walked into the area Jeff was in and he loudly said, not aware a customer was nearby, "tell that guy to go f_ck himself", sees me and is like oops. Customer service at its best. So I guess I shouldn't be surprised but please don't preach about a "family owned" dealership. Very dissatisfied with this experience and I won't be back. Hector, Austen and Adam were wonderful to work with. Austen really listened to me and found me a car that meet all my requirements. Lord knows I'm picky! He & Hector answered all my questions and made me feel like I was their only customer. I did ask to take off a feature on the paperwork as I didn't need it. No haggling which was a surprise. Not used to that at all when Car buying! Once back in finance Adam went over every single paper and even told us step by step what would happen next after we left the dealership. I took my car in last spring for its 100000 check and new brakes. It cost me 1500. 4 months later I took it to a local mechanic to have the oil changed before a long trip and he told me I needed my transmission fluid changed. It was burnt , He took me in and showed it to me. It had never been changed even though the bill from Lees Summit Honda stated it had been changed.Now I wonder what they did do other than fix my brakes. I called it the 1500 brake job because I got screwed. I trusted a dealer not to take advantage of a woman but apparently they have no problem with that! read more

We visited several dealers while looking for a budget used car for our teen. We only had a limited amount of cash to spend after an insurance payout from a wreck that totaled her other car. Sean Ritchie was our sales person at LS Honda and he was wonderful! Not pushy at all, and very knowledgeable about the cars. He treated my daughter respectfully, including her on all conversations. He worked with us while we waited for our insurance money to come in. The The used Honda Fit price was fair and there was no difference between our treatment and that of someone buying a pricier new car. We definitely recommend him! AVOID! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH LEE'S SUMMIT HONDA! This past Friday, my airbag indicator light went off and I called Lee's Summit Honda and scheduled a time to have my vehicle looked at. The following Monday, I arrived at the Service Center at 7 am to do a diagnostic. After waiting nearly 2 hours the Express Advisor, Jamie Rowe-Russo, notified me that the airbag malfunction was covered under warranty and would be repaired at no cost to me. She then listed several issues with my car (crack in the engine manifold that was leaking exhaust into the car's cabin, as well as some gaskets that needed replaced). She totaled those repairs to$1,600. I plainly explained to her "I can't afford that. My car isn't even worth that much. It's worth $500 tops. In fact, I'm planning on getting rid of it soon." I was told that a part needed to be ordered to repair the airbag malfunction; they'd need to keep the vehicle and was sent off in a rental car. The following day I received a call that my vehicle was finished and I arrived shortly after back to the Service Center. Upon arriving, I was greeted with a bill for $956. Caught completely off guard, I asked Jamie why these repairs were done to my car without my authorization. She claims I verbally told her to do so. I never once agreed for them to make these repairs and asked for a document that I signed that authorized the repairs. She said "we don't do that here." I was dumbfounded. Jamie offered me a credit card application to help pay for the repairs. I then asked to speak to a manager and was introduced to their Service Manager Karanne Benton who could to have been more rude and unprofessional. I explained the situation to her and expressed the miscommunication between Jaime and me. Her response: "Well, we trust our employees and what they say." I asked her for proof that I authorized the repairs. She couldn't formulate an answer. Next, I asked to speak to a General Manager and I was introduced to another Service Manager named Chris Stevens. Again, I explained the situation to him. At first he was understanding, and then suddenly turned rude. I simply said "I didn't authorize these repairs, your assistant (Jamie) admitted that I told her 'I can't afford it', and you don't have anything to prove my desire to have these repairs made." Plain and simple. Any manager worth anything would simply say "It's a miscommunication on our part, we apologize, and we'll eat the $956 bill." Instead Chris offered to put my old, damaged parts back in my car! How insulting! I reluctantly agreed because I spent nearly 2 hours there and was late returning to work. I felt cheated to say the least. In hindsight, I should've just taken my keys from them and left. The following day, I received a call that my car was finished (replaced with my old parts). I arrived and asked to speak to the highest person in charge at the dealership. I was introduced to Scott Hubbard, who was kind enough to allow me to explain the situation again. He brought Jamie in the office, where again, she admitted that I told her "I can't afford it. My car isn't worth that much." I explained to Scott that he has a gap in his system that needs fixed: the customer should authorize repairs, by signing an itemized service order. Scott told me "that's what supposed to happen, but even if a customer did sign an order form, we'd still be having this conversation." Seriously? I asked "why wasn't I given anything to sign?" "People make mistakes," was his response. Again, any manager worth anything would've offered to remedy the situation appropriately (free oil changes, a Honda credit, etc.). After explaining how he wanted his customers to leave feeling satisfied, Scott made no such offer to make the situation fair for me. I explained to him how bad this was for business. Here he has a customer in need of a new car and he won't offer anything to appease them. Bad business. I told him "I'd like to, but I just can't do business with you." He didn't seem to care much at all. I wasn't looking to get anyone in trouble, wasn't looking to exploit the situation- just wanted to be treated fairly. Guess I wasn't worth that to them.
