Husband had looked up on KIA accessories and had a parts number. I asked the gentleman three times about the product and all he could keep telling me was they did not make it. So I told him the parts number that Kia accessories had on their website and he goes oh yeah we've got one of those. Then short time later the back trim started coming off. Went to the dealership and Bailey took pictures. Said she had to call kia.com to see if they would pay for it. Asked her if she needed my name and phone number. She said no. Waited two weeks no calls nothing so I called her. First thing out of her mouth was I did not have your name or phone number. Said she would have to call Kia warranty. I said ok. So two weeks later I was annoyed about the lack of communication. When I got her on the phone she again said she had to call Kia warranty and that she would call me back. I informed her that I was not hanging up and that she could call the warranty place and find out and let me know. I informed her I was not hanging up she could put me on hold. Shortly after that she came back and said ok and that she had to order the part. I get a text no name nothing telling me the part would be in 3 to 4 days. Six days later I texted her and she informed me it just got there and when would I like to get it fixed. Told her any day besides two first appointment. Did not hear nothing for two days. Got a call from them today to see how everything went. I informed them that the communication stunk. So they had someone else call me. After talking for a while. He stated he seen the text messages. But did not see any calls I was talking about. Like I was a liar. The only calls he seen was the calls they called me. He should have realized that Bailey did not call me at all like I stated.

    Everything about our experience was highly unusual compared to typical used car purchases. Over the…read moreyears, we have owned many vehicles, and this process differed significantly from the start of our interaction with the dealership. Although we ultimately proceeded with purchasing the vehicle and trading in our own, multiple unresolved issues arose within just a few days. As a result, the dealership offered to allow us to return the vehicle. However, we were informed that the title for our trade-in had already been processed, and a replacement title would need to be ordered, which would take 4-6 weeks! While we understand that administrative process, we requested written documentation (on letterhead) outlining the status of the transaction so that we could confidently move forward with purchasing a vehicle elsewhere. Unfortunately, the used car general manager did not respond to our call or email. Instead, the finance manager communicated via text message and indicated she would attempt to obtain documentation, but ultimately informed us that nothing further could be provided and suggested we share the text message with another dealership. We do not consider this an acceptable resolution. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend purchasing from the used car division at Lee's Summit Subaru. We have filed formal complaints with the appropriate authorities, including the Attorney General's office and the Federal Trade Commission, and the BBB.

I already know every sales person gets extra for trying to push extra warranties, but what I appreciated was that after I declines the extra warranties they just moved along with the sale not trying to push me into getting something I didn't want. It was a massive experience for me: I loved that they were not pushy. Every dealership prior had driven me away due to their sales tactics. Felt like I was welcomed with immediate positivity.     I had a very frustrating experience with this dealership's service department, primarily due to a…read moreserious safety concern and lack of support/communication. My vehicle had fumes/smoke entering the cabin, yet I was told it was still safe to drive. After researching, I learned this type of engine issue has been widely reported in Mazda vehicles and, in some cases, covered under extended warranties. Despite this, I was denied any goodwill assistance with no explanation. I also experienced nearly two weeks of poor communication, including unanswered calls/texts and significant delays in receiving a proper diagnostic breakdown. Due to needing a vehicle for work and family, I ultimately had no choice but to proceed with the repair, which totaled over $5,000, with nearly $3,000 paid out of pocket. To add to the experience, the vehicle was returned without even a basic wash after such a costly repair. Overall, this experience lacked transparency, communication, and customer care--especially given the safety concerns involved. I have documented all communication and would recommend others to proceed with caution when using this dealership.
