They were taking g $7K and $12K off on Tacoma and Tundra. My sales guy Stan and the management gave me great deal on Tundras. Took over $12 off on each one. It's the best deal in town, or maybe in midwest. I also got discounts on Toyota Platinum warranty for Tundras. I will be coming back here in future for other purchaes. i recently took my 2003 Toyota highlander to be looked at and have an oil change done here at Adams Toyota in lee's summit. the oil filter had blown off due to a bad oil change from Wal-Mart (go figure). being that this is a Toyota dealership i figured they would do their due diligence to make sure everything was still good. after a couple of days i heard back the engine was blown due to oil starvation. i was super upset as i thought i had turned it off in time. the car is older with some miles, but it ran great up into that point. after working out the insurance stuff with WM they totaled the car. but i still owned it, i paid Toyota $210 for the diagnosis's and i asked it i could still drive it home. they told me they would not recommend it. after verbally making sure they had put oil in it they brought it around to me and i made the decision to drive it home anyways. i got in the car and the oil light was still on, i pulled out and to the side to check the oil there was still no oil in the car. i went back in and bought 3 quarts of oil put it in and it barely read on the dip stick. i asked again to confirm that they had at least put a oil filter on it? i was told yes and after some looking, we found there was one. after i put the 3 quarts of oil in the oil light went away "magically". i drove that car home and it has driven fine ever since no ticking or lifter noses that they said killed the motor. how can their service department be so terrible. they didn't even put a full quart of oil in the car and called it dead. i took it to another shop today to have it looked at and they said the car is running fine no issues. the incompliance of the Toyota service provider is unexpectable. if i didn't already have a working knowledge of car maintenance i would have drove this car home very low on oil and probably really killed it. now i have my great running car back and story to tell anyone that says i am looking to buy a Toyota or have my Toyota serviced at Adams Toyota in lee's summit. sad you can't even trust the dealership these days. Ray: i appreciate your response here. i understand your diagnosis, i may have made the same assumption off the information you just now for the first time provided (none of this information was told to me verbally or is it documented on my paperwork). but when the car was returned to me there was basically no oil in it, and i had asked your service person if there was oil put in and a filter put on before he brought it up from the back lot, he said yes (again the paperwork did not say any of that). after taking the car and noticing the oil light i came back in got 3 quarts of oil from your parts desk, i put them in the car that only takes 4 quarts and then came back and asked again about oil and a filter your service guy looked at the car but could not find it, i had to get down and look and found that there was a filter attached. but returning the car to me with little to no oil is not ok. when i told him i just put the 3 quarts of oil in the service guy tried telling me that sometimes it takes a little bit for the oil to get down to dip stick, you and i know that is not true. i don't know where the disconnect is but your service person and your technician did not seem to communicate well or document well the problem. leaving me to believe i had been cheated in away. this maybe a 1 off problem or a simple case of miss communication but ether way at the price in which service is done at your shop i would expect better communication from tech to service person and service person to customer. you have information feel free to call. read more

I asked them to fix the leaking windshield on my FJ Cruiser. It is a common problem. They said $140 for the diagnosis when I dropped it off. The next day they call me and said a master tech looked at it and found no leak. The entire front A pillar has mold on it where it is leaking. That sort of incompetence can't be ignored. It has to make you wonder what else they are screwing up. I would advice against taking my vehicle to this place. read more

I called to see if the parts came in. I took my 2006 Lexus is 250 in to Ray Adams Toyota to have my spark plugs changed, I paid $600 and thought everything was ok. My VSC LIGHT came on so I had my car put on a diagnostic test and it showed my bank 3 was miss firing, so I took it elsewhere to have it looked at and Ray Adams Toyota didn't change not one plug . My car had the original Denso spark plugs in my car . So I had the Spark plugs and ignition coils changed at another automotive shop , I don't recommend taking your car there if it's not under warranty, these people are scam artists. Not serios people to deal with, I had my truck serviced and 5000 miles later found out the differential was leaking bad, I took my truck back to them and they just cleaned the spilled oil and retighten the plug. Three days later is still leaking. I was expecting for the mechanics to check the oil level but they didn't do so. I called them to talk to the same guy that attended me the last time but instead it was another guy pretending to be him. Parts cannon. Good at changing parts. Not so much at diagnosing problems. I went in several months ago because the truck wouldn't shift into 4x4 mode. They said the wiring was dead and it needed a 4x4 actuator. I asked how they tested the wiring. They said they couldn't because it was dead. They kept saying it was dead. It was dead. I know wiring can be tested. I did and verified the wiring was intact and had continuity throughout the entire section they said was bad. They didn't test it. Just threw parts at it. I asked if the wiring was bad how did they test the 4x4 actuator. Their response was that it must be bad because it wouldn't shift. They didn't test it. Just threw parts at it. I declined their repairs of over $1800. I tried to leave but they said I couldn't leave just yet because they had the truck stuck in 4x4 and couldn't get it to shift out. Wait. What?? You just told me the 4x4 actuator and wiring were bad so it wouldn't shift. Now suddenly it worked but they still want to charge me for more work. Their response was, Oh, it's intermittent. It's intermittent. I've had almost 40 Toyota vehicles. Great vehicles. Terrible dealerships. After dealing with this Toyota dealer I'll try something else. I'm sure they won't care. This is the only place I will let service my Camry! Wait times can very greatly, but their estimated time is usually spot on. They keep all of your information in their system, so when the maintenance light comes on they can tell me what my car is needing. The place has free WiFi, so I always work from there whenever I am waiting. One thing to always look at is their coupon section on their site! At least $10 can come off your service. I have never had an issue with them, but have only experience their service portion of the business. read more

When it became clear we were in our exploratory stage and not going to close on a purchase that morning, the representative immediately changed his demeanor and level of professionalism. Note to Adams representatives (and those responsible for training sales representatives): maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with clients all throughout the process until they leave the premises. Suddenly dropping your level of attentiveness and care, suddenly avoiding eye contact, and keeping your eyes glued to your laptop while dismissing them from the premise makes you seem self-interested, temperamental, and less mature (which you are free to be, but it's best to appear attentive, kind, and emotionally consistent with your clients whether or not they're making a purchase that day, especially when you're representing a company and not just yourself). Also, to maintain an aura of professionalism, please take out your AirPods when interfacing with clients. Lastly, it's better to skip the follow up calls with potential clients entirely if you were rude to them in person, and it's best to make follow up calls in general later in the day (like after 9 or 10am). No one wants to wake to a sales rep of any sort at 8:30 in the morning! (It seems from other reviews that there are several highly appreciated representatives, such as Alberto and Niyaki. I'd like to clarify neither of them provided our disappointing experience at this Toyota center and if we do decide on a Toyota from Adams, we will ask for either Alberto or Niyaki to work with.) Bad business practice. I ordered a RAV4 about 3 months ago with options and agreed on the prices and $500 deposit. Today me and son came to pick up, it's turn a basic RAV4 with no option that we're like. Back and forth, I came the manager, Ryan Dill, and he said we don't have a contract and no discount. I am willing to get the car if they take off the options that they charged or ordering a new one for me. There are no option but give me a deposit back. This is not a good business practice. I took my 4runner to Adams Toyota for a routine oil change and tire rotation, of which I scheduled online via what seems to be a fake appointment scheduling software, because every time I get there and tell them when my appointment is they ask me what service I am there for as if I am just walking in. Before dropping the car off I mentioned to the service advisor that there seems to be a weird creaking noise coming from the front of the vehicle. I asked that they take a quick look at it and that I brought it up last time but they were "unable to replicate the issue" 3 hours later I had to call to see if I could get an update and the service advisor told me, "He hasn't been up here, so I would assume he is still trying to figure it out." Annoyed that he didn't go ask the technician for an update I figured I'd give it another hour. After an hour and still no call back, I reached back out to find out that the car was done, and the issue was an aftermarket D-Ring tow hook in the rear that was making the noise. They removed the tow hook and said that the issue was fixed. (It wasn't, the car still makes a loud creaking noise) Thinking that the issue was resolved I went to check out only to find that I was being charged $180 in labor for the "tow hook" issue. I understand that it is a business and their employees need to be paid for their time, but not once was I told they were going to look this extensively into the issue, nor was I warned about what the hourly charge for labor was or how long it might be. Had I known the labor was that much, I would have declined to have them investigate the issue further. When explaining my disappointment to the service manager and asking if there was any way they could help me out on the labor charge he said there is nothing he can do and that he would have to check in with his manager to see if he would approve a refund. The weekend goes by and no call back. So Tuesday morning I call the service advisor and he tells me that the his manager said "unfortunately they can't do anything for me." I then asked to speak with the Manager in which case I was transferred to, or so I thought. The phone rang twice and then disconnected... After this awful experience that could have had a very simple resolution, I am extremely frustrated and will not be buying another car from her or servicing any of my vehicles here in the future. Took care of that else where and ended up with another $800 worth of repairs they didn't even find in the diagnostic I paid for! Literally wasted $160 for them to tell me to get new tires. In the interest of being fair and wanting to make sure my most recent experience with Ray Adams Toyota is noted I'd like to make this update. Obviously, my initial experience was bad...really bad...but Mr. Adams reached out to me regarding my concerns and my less than sterling experience when I had my initial 5,000-mile service. So, let's start over - Upon arriving at the dealership for my 10:00 am appointment for my 10,000-mile service I was met as usual and taken inside to set down with my service advisor Mr. Reynolds. He was well aware of my previous experience and assured me things were now being done differently regarding the checks and quality control that were lacking on my last visit. He came in later, said my Tacoma was ready and so we went out to look it over. Now I'll tell you right now I did make sure I had all my lug nuts and checked my oil, yes probably not necessary but it is what it is. The service invoice noted that as part of the tires being rotated the lugs are torqued to the correct specs then they are inspected, and the torque checked a second time for each wheel. Mr. Reynolds went over the service invoice with me and noted that where I had concerns before were now thoroughly addressed and improved quality control measures in place. I appreciate the customer service I received and am satisfied that any future service visits will go smoothly and without incident. I spent a lot of money just for the diagnostic test, and I ended up with parts missing in my car. The answer I am getting from them is they didn't know anything about it, they didn't take it off!!! Well, the part was on there before, and now it's missing, and no one has any idea about it. It is kind of funny to me. Someone must have misplaced it somewhere, and no one is owing it up... So I called Adams on Wednesday and they were able to do the work on Thursday. The price was higher then I wanted it to be but that goes with taking it to the dealership. Rick was wonderful. He gave me a guesstimate of the cost before I brought it in so I was not surprised. They gave me a curtesy ride home and came back to pick me up when the car was ready.
