I tried to call multiple times in the past when I first bought my Groupon but was unable to get an answer. I finally heard the broken voice message today about texting the same number. So I did... I tried to book an appointment for 5/20 but was quickly told she was booked until July. I asked if she would give my sister and I an extension because the Groupon we purchased expires on 5/24. First she told me that she didn't know when my Groupon expired AFTER I already informed her. So, I let her know again and asked for a possible extension. She said I could use it towards the regular price which is DOUBLE the price of what I already paid. Um NO! I think not. I told her I was not informed I had to book my appointment months in advance to guarantee my Groupon and she still denied my request. The fact that I am a first time customer I think she is hella inconsiderate, rude, and unprofessional. I always feel like businesses treat people a certain way if they bought a deal through Groupon... DON'T BE PUTTING IT UP ON THERE THEN! Amazing eyelash extensions that last a long time! Lily is super sweet, friendly and welcoming! I first found her on groupon and decided to give her a try. I texted her for an appointment and she saw me the following week. The appointment lasted about 1 hour and 45 minutes and when I saw the results I knew I had found my new eyelashes lady! Her prices are very reasonable and she uses very high quality products! My eyes did not get irritated or swollen unlike some other beauty places I have been too. I highly recommend her! read more

I have no idea what her service would have been like because Lee simply REFUSED to honor my Groupon which had not expired yet. First, she would only communicate by text message -- the lowest form of communication and thus open to a wide range of miscommunication/misunderstanding. So, here is the content of the messages... ME: I have a Groupon for extensions set to expire next Monday; hoping to get in tomorrow or next Monday LEE: Sorry for short notice. I'm usually booked 3 weeks in advance. Can't fit you in before the expiration day. ME: So then what? Do I just lose it? There was not indication it would take so long to get an appointment. LEE: You have 90 days to use it. Don't put me in the corner. ME: No, I didn't intend to be hostile, just wondering what to do. I realize I had 90 days, didn't realize I would need to book so far in advance. LEE: Sorry inconvenient that cause. Nothing I can do. You can use that towards the regular price. If not you can return to Groupon. ME: Ok. Thanks. ME: Good evening, I checked with Groupon and this was the information [screenshot policy]. My takeaway from this is that the provider should honor the Groupon past the expiration date as long as the attempt to schedule was before the expiration date, which it was. You said you are 3 weeks out. When you get a moment let me know what availability you have. Thanks LEE: I don't feel comfortable to work on you ---- thought bubble - WTF?!! ME: We've never met??? I'm confused. I tried to schedule, asked what we might be able to do, checked with Groupon and shared their policy. Why would you feel uncomfortable? I just wanted to try your service. I have been going to Ly for 6 years. I've had consistently cute haircuts, great colors, thorough waxing, and relaxing facials. She also does tattoo makeup, electrolysis, and nails. Ly is a total sweetheart who does great work. The shop is clean, maybe not as upscale as some other places, but it's very private because she is the only one in the shop and you always have the place to yourself. Accompanied someone to her last year. I got a gift certificate for lash extensions with 2 fills so I went. I have nothing to compare it to, but I have to admit that my lashes look great, very natural with no discomfort at all despite my ultra sensitive eyes. The initial set lasted 8 weeks before I needed a fill. That being said, I feel I have to say that she is not the most professional in her customer service skills. The first time I went, when I acccompanied my friend, was right after Election Day and all she talked about was how Trump was a rapist. The second time when I went for my own initial set, she spent the whole hour+ talking about herself, her problems, even telling me I needed to lose weight! I had earbuds to listen to my music but couldn't because I felt I had to listen to her go on and on. She's a very negative person. She complained a lot about how Groupon customers don't tip so she's not doing Groupon anymore. Told her she owned the business so why was she expecting a tip? Third time when I went for fill she bent my ears with complaints about the store directly adjacent to hers, Blinks and Brows, stating that they are sneaky, the enemy, because they are trying to compete. She told her landlord not to renew their lease because their businesses are too similar (I actually heard her say so to the landlord who stopped by while I was there). At the end of my fill she just started texting in her phone without even letting me know I was done, no mirror to look, nothing. There are tons of places that do the same thing, a lot more professional I'm sure. read more

Li has reinvested a lot in her business to update the decor of her salon and it has a very peaceful and pretty look to it now. She still does a great job on nails and hair removal and last time I got a facial from her she provided an upgraded experience with the soft spa music playing in the background. :-) She still offers the absolute best prices in town and has special deals.through both Yelp & Groupon. I have visited many other nail salons in Livermore. I will never, EVER, go anywhere else to get my nails and toes done. EVER. My nails have always look amazing. My teen daughter loves this place as well. I have never seen a salon with so many Shellac color options. Lee has it on point! Whatever my mood, she has a color! Lee is not only a sweetheart, but she listens and remembers everything. I enjoy every visit and now consider her a friend. There is also a very great convenience in being able to text your pampering queen for appointments. she has always worked with my crazy last minute schedule. The salon is located downtown. From the outside you don't know what to expect, and inside there is an extremely welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. you feel like you have jumped inside a pinterest board! Do NOT waste your time going here. I'm sorry to say that this was the WORST nail experience I've ever had. TL;DR - The issues: she made me wait 30 minutes past my scheduled appt time, never responded to my call/texts day of or even think to notify me that she was running late, didn't apologize until I made it clear I was unhappy, SOO slow at painting nails, didn't soak my cuticles, CUT too much off my cuticle - I bled and it HURT (the worst part), and uneven nail filing. I would much rather pay $10, even $20 more for more respect and a better manicure. I purchased the Groupon for a shellac manicure, called and texted her a week and a half in advance to schedule an appt. When the day came, I made and effort to call and text her again to make sure our appointment was still on. No response. I figured she's probably with a client so I went ahead and drove 30 minutes out to her shop. I arrived on time and she told me to wait. She was in the back working on another client, ended up making me wait and extra 30 minutes so she could finish up a client that came in late. When she was finally able to work on me, I picked a nail color and she said she couldn't find it. Really!? I looked and found it myself. I was obviously already frustrated at this point, but then she starts working on my dry cuticles, doesn't soak them, and CUTS too much off my thumb until I started bleeding. No apology. Then she starts painting, very, very slowly. Maybe I wouldn't have cared as much if I hadn't already invested an hour of my time in this. Don't expect a hand massage, but for her to just slab a bunch of oil on your hand and then tell you your done. The finished product - a throbbing thumb, scab, some uneven nails, and some paint has already chipped. The ONLY thing I did like was my nail color...glad I found it since there wasn't many options to choose from. She was not apologetic or respectful. So I'm going to admit I was a bit skeptical when I first walked in. I got both my mom and I Groupon vouchers for eye lash extensions, which I was already hesitant about. My mom went first and her eyelashes came out amazing!! Lee did an fantastic job. She made my moms lashes look natural but still noticeably longer. I naturally have longer lashes than my mom so Lee did a "bigger" set with mine and I was shocked at how beautiful they looked!! They still looked natural but she made them look thicker and longer. I was totally dreading coming out looking like a drag queen with lashes that could double as a pair of wings but Lee completely changed my perspective. She's reasonably priced for more than outstanding services and she has a wonderful personality. I am recommending her to all of my friends from now on :D read more

Lee is great! She has colored my hair for years and as I grew older, she helped me transition to my natural gray hair color. She tattooed color on my lips and eyeliner so my thin lips looked larger and my eyes needed little makeup. She has removed skin tags from my neck. I routinely get facials from Lee and my eyebrow waxed. She's begun giving me "shellac" manicures that still look perfect 3 weeks later! She is remodeling her shop and now has a pedicure chair that is very comfy. The shop is looking BEAUTIFUL. Her prices are very affordable and her work is excellent. Doesn't even deserve one star. I bought on Groupon. And have had my eyelashes done many times but never here. I tried making appointments and every time was very very rude. I am a nice person and never one to judge but my gosh she was so so rude! She was never available! Never answered phone and when she did it was a text with poor English like 3 days later! Groupon buyers BEWARE!!! After purchasing this exciting deal for eyelash extensions, I called to set up an appointment, to my disappointment I was told she was booked three weeks out. Okay, no big deal, may I make an appointment for in 4 weeks then?? Nope, gotta call back in 3 weeks. Once again I called, this time no answer, her peculiar business voicemail states "I don't typically answer phone, text me". So I texted her a hello and stating my wishes for an appointment. A day later, I receive a message saying Groupon??? Apparently her Groupon customers don't get a quick appointment, because she is again booked three weeks out. After this brief convo I didn't hear from her again. I called a few more times, never reaching her. This was two months ago now, so I call her today, again no answer, then I texted her, she replies "you think I don't remember, I told you I book 3 weeks out" I do not know how to get an appointment with this lady and I politely explained this, also including that my Groupon is soon to expire now. After catching more curt attitude from her, I stated that customer service is severely lacking. Her only response was "what kinda customer have that attitude" I have never ever had someone treat me so poorly in customer service. Lee is incredibly difficult to work with. I had a groupon to get eyelash extensions. I called and left several messages to make an apt but she never called back and would only communicate via text messaging. I tried several times to get an apt. The first time she said she would take me on a Monday three days later but I couldn't book that time due to work. After she knew I had a groupon she mentioned that apts had to be made two weeks in advance which made no sense since she had just offered me an apt. three days after trying the first time. Then after booking an apt two weeks in advance, she text me at 9 pm to tell me that if I didn't get her the groupon number by the end of the day my apt. would be canceled. After talking to he the next day, via text, my apt was in fact cancelled. When I tried to make another apt she told me to get a refund from groupon because she did not want to make an apt with me. So frustrating and unprofessional. I would not recommend any of her services to anyone as she was incredibly rude and difficult to work with. read more

I posted this same review on Google because I saw a post from a customer who purchased a Groupon and was not impressed with Lee's communication/interaction with her while making the appointment. This is too bad. I was one of those who was a little startled by Lee's lack of warm and fuzzy touch over texting. Well, I am glad I got over that. Lee is Vietnamese, will never score an 'A' in English. She is street smart and intelligent. Best of all, the best eyelash extensions product by far. I live in SF, tried 3 different salons, not impressed. Stuck with the last Groupon I purchased for Lee. I was going just to ditch it, but persevered on getting anappointment. Wow, what work product and professionalism. I now make the 1+ hour drive from SF to Livermore every 2 months to get my lashes done. Give Lee a try, you will not be disappointed.
