So I called back 20 minutes later to continue asking about furniture I wanted to pick up. Again, they responded unprofessional and hung up.i will never do business with them and do not recommend anybody to them as well. If you are looking for furniture or to pawn anything, I would try elsewhere. There are many other companies that provide way better customer service both on the phone as well as in person. This was the first time in a while where a I was turned away from business by speaking with an immature and unprofessional person via phone.

Heard about Elson's Goldsmith from right here on Yelp and the five-star reviews are accurate!…read more I needed to get a minor repair done on this gold chain and stopped into one other store before going to Elson's. The other shop gave me weird vibes, so I decided to give Elson's a try since everyone in the reviews had nothing but positive things to say. I emailed them in the morning and decided to call as well to check if they take walk-in repairs. The person I spoke with happened to be the owner's brother and they said yes, just come on down--so I did just that! I was welcomed in by Elson Jr., the owner's brother and person I spoke with on the phone, and he told me they could repair the chain for $50 and get it done in about 30 minutes. Good deal in my opinion! So I waited in the store and not even 15 minutes later, the chain was repaired *AND* Elson said they cleaned it! Highly, highly recommend these guys for jewelry repairs if you live near ʻAiea or even if you can drive in from elsewhere on Oʻahu. Mahalo again to Elson and Calin, both of whom provided excellent customer service and attention to my request!

Update: Elson's has since moved! They are no longer above Times. They are now across from downtown…read morePearlridge (Pali Momi Street), next to California Rock N Sushi and Blue Tropix. Ample parking. It is right next to where Toys R Us used to be, and to get to the parking you will need to turn in at the light by Big City Diner. The new store is a definite upgrade to the old location! It was a little confusing for me to find as you can't see Elson's from the parking lot. You will have to walk out through a pathway to get to Pali Momi Street and walk to where the store faces the street. You will need to get buzzed in for security reasons. They have a small jewelry selection available that is ready to purchase, but it seems they do a lot of custom work. I primarily come here for repairs! I've replaced missing pave diamonds and just had a repair done today for a bracelet I had where a pear shaped diamond fell out. I unfortunately did not have the diamond, but they had a similar natural diamond on hand and were able to repair it in about 20 minutes! Repair cost was about $100 less than I was quoted to mail it back to the jewelry company that I purchased it from in the mainland. Saved money and got it back right away. I will always come here for jewelry repair needs!

We asked if we were able to place an order for a barrel lock to fit a 6mm chains. She then proceeded to say that she needed to call their vendor as he makes the barrel locks. To our surprise, the vendor told the lady that there's no way to make a 6mm barrel lock, only 8mm and above! We both knew that it was full of crap because we had a 5mm barrel lock! Then the lady proceeded to ask us if we wanted to upgrade to an 8mm chain since they had those locks in stock. Hah! Talk about feeling offended, so we decided to leave as we know it was a bunch of bull. If you want trustworthy business, don't waste your time here.
