After the $76,000 roof was installed in December 2025 I noticed that the gutters were leaking. I immediately called and texted Aaron to please come take a look. That text was sent on January 4. For the next three months I got nothing but excuses and a disgusting photo of his infected foot - apparently the reason he couldn't come look at my roof. Finally, on March 27 some guys were sent to repair the leaks. Cut to August 16 when the gutters blew off. Again, I immediately texted and called Aaron who told me that "unfortunately, this was not covered under my seven year warranty because it was an act of God." First, I reviewed the contract which did not state the exclusion. Second, I asked Aaron how he could possibly know that it was neither a manufacturing or installation issue when he hasn't even seen it. He told me the owner of the company would call me. That was a month ago. No one has ever followed up. Both my husband and I have called and texted countless times - at least 10. This company is unreliable and shady. Do NOT use them. They will take your money and walk away without standing behind their product. We paid almost $80,000 to be ignored. If you live in Hawaii you need a reliable roofer. M&R Roofing is the WRONG choice.

This is a great, locally-owned company. After a recent rainstorm, our roof started to leak so we…read moredid a lot of research and called a lot of different companies but decided to go with Paul's Roofing. The entire process from start to finish was seamless and easy. When they came to give us a quote, Kelson came and was so professional and knowledgeable that we decided to go with them. They explained what was wrong with our roof, the issues from the recent rain and hail storm (who knew that we even had hail storms here in Kuli'ou'ou). The explained the process, their recommendations, and everything we needed to know to get the roof repaired. They also scheduled a time to come and tarp the areas of our roof that had the leaks so that in the meantime, if it rained, we wouldn't have a roof that was leaking into our home. I didn't even know you could tarp a roof before this experience lol. They did a great job because it stormed quite hard the day after they put the tarp patching and not a single drop of water got through. When the time to actually install the roof came, they dropped all the supplies off the day before and then the next day, a crew of guys came to our home and got moving. They laid tarps down on the ground around the house to catch debris and they put a dumpster in our driveweay to throw all the old roofing into. They managed to do our entire roof in a day even though they had projected it could take 2 days previously, the weather cooperated and this team of absolute professionals did an amazing and seamless job. They were moving like a well-oiled machine, disassembling the old roof and then checking and repairing the damaged board underneath the shingles. I learned how shoddy the original build work was when this house was built 20 years ago. But not to worry because Paul's Roofing repaired the damage and put a beautiful new roof up for us. They worked all day long... in the hot sun... smiles on their faces.... I was in awe. When they were done with the work, they hauled away all the rubbish, cleaned the perimeter of our yard of any debris and nails, ran a magnet thing around the yard to pick up any metal that might have been missed and they went home. It was the best experience with a roof contractor that I've ever had. They made it easy and hassle-free. They kept my husband and I informed and helped us to feel comfortable with the entire process. Our house has been super hot for a while and electric high from running the split a/c, also been a…read morewhile since we had the roof taken care of (over a decade). I checked Yelp for estimates, had 5 different companies come out for quotes, Mike's was in the middle as far as pricing and at first we turned him down cause we thought we should go cheapest but when my husband looked over what all actually gets done, turns out they do the most work at a great price. We went with a silicone coating and OMG, only took 3 days of work (woulda been 2 but we have this weird side panel on the house needed extra work), they power wash and did lots of other stuff, install attic fan, base coat, etc. My husband is obsessed with this laser temperature gun and he been logging the temp, went from 110F to around 85 (on the ceiling, the room is cooler), no joke. We never even use a/c today. Also, tbh out of all the people I met with I felt most comfortable with Mike so I am really glad we chose him. I am so happy we chose to go with these guys and I highly recommend.
