The report was timely, professionally written and provided additional information as needed to prevent future mold and contaminates. The report was used to do the home's repair by a third party. Once completed, the repair company provided a certification that the mold was removed. The home is now clean of all allergens.. I highly recommend Hawks' expertise, excellent service, and the care taken while they were in my home. AEC was the only estimator we talked to who told us about the ZAI Trust, which processes claims for residential asbestos insulation removal and re-insulating costs if material tests positive for their product. We contracted with American Environmental to test for asbestos, remove some of the piping and a…read moreboiler that was being replaced. Their bid included three days to complete the project. We were assured that if the pipes were not wrapped with asbestos material that there would be a substantial reduction in the bid. However, we did not find out that they don't actually do asbestos testing until two days before the project was to start. Luckily, I was able to get the testing done the next day and sent them the results which showed we were negative for asbestos. Unfortunately, it turned out that our boiler still had some water in it and the workers had to pause while it drained. In spite of that, the project was still completed in less than three days, but American Environmental refused to provide the promised discount. In addition, there was piping to be removed which was marked with a magic marker by the supervisor. The markings were complicated to decipher but the supervisor in charge assured us he would be there to instruct the crew. He did not show up and has since denied that he said he would be there. The result was confusion among the workers as to which segments they needed to remove. We had to contact the contractor, who sent a boiler expert over to work with the crew. We have tried to resolve this issue with American Environmental, and obtain the promised cost reduction, but their responses were rude and intractable. I would not recommend them.

He explained the benefits and costs of combining closed cell foam with unfaced insulation in the floor joist bays, laid out the phases in writing, and was always available for questions via email. The work crews showed up on consecutive weekdays, first for removal of existing insulation, second for spraying the foam, and third for the unfaced batts and duct sealing. The crews were courteous and fast and never requested anything from me, although I did offer. As an experienced DIY homeowner and architectural design student, I was fully aware of the science behind the product installation and the results have been as expected. Reduced heater usage over the fall/winter, quieter floors, and no doubt increased home value. When discussing your proposed project with Scott, please make sure to request information about rebates, energy audits, and any other financial benefits of the work. Also, do your homework before meeting with him so you can have some idea of what to expect. A crawlspace may not be the first place people think to perform an energy upgrade, but an unfit crawl could be costing you big dollars in wasted energy. Titan conducted an inspection for the seller of the home I was interested in purchasing. Titan said…read morehome was in good shape, furnace was 0k and roof nearing end of life expectancy. Per report, roof was still OK, not needing new roof immediately. Titan never got onto roof, only used a drone. Thankfully, I got my own inspection with a different company before deciding to purchase home. My inspector, who did get on roof, discovered extensive damage to roof to include water leaking into attic in several places. This inspector noted that roof needs replacement immediately. This damage was never listed on Titan report. Also, furnace was not Ok. It had not been inspected for 2 years and needed to be replaced. In addition, Titan report never mentioned water under house and some repairs needed there. While Titan used pictures and report looked good, I would have bought a house that needed thousands of dollars in repairs had I relied on their report.
