I submitted an order for a plaque on May 25 that included adding a photo. Unfortunately, this information was never disclosed online prior to placing the order. Had that been clearly stated, I would have selected a different product from the beginning. I responded to the email explaining that this information was not available online and stated that I would instead like to order a different item. However, after sending my response, I received an email notifying me that my order had simply been canceled. There was no phone call, follow-up email, or attempt to ask what alternative item I would like to purchase. I then called the store and spoke with Jon. I explained that I felt the order was handled poorly and that a courtesy call or email should have been made before canceling the order, especially to discuss replacement options. During the conversation, Jon was dismissive and rude. When I asked to speak with a manager, he stated that he runs the store. I then asked for the owner's contact information, and he responded by saying, "That doesn't matter." As a returning customer, I found this interaction extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Rather than addressing my concerns, Jon repeatedly mentioned that he had worked for the company for 14 years, as though that excused the way I was treated. I value professionalism and customer service, especially when supporting local businesses. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect either. I will be sharing my experience with coaching colleagues and others in my network so they are aware of how customers may be treated.

This company is the worst to deal with! I had some items encased. I received an invoice on June…read more20, 2024, which included a $35 credit card fee. Since Robert (owner) included it in the invoice with no option to pay with an alternative payment, I said OK, I will pay with my credit card and at least get points on my credit card. I made payment immediately on the June 20th. The invoice said the encasement will be mailed 10-13 days from payment. Prior to receiving the invoice, Robert told me my encasement was done, but the engraver made a mistake on the engraving and he wanted him to redo it, which I was happy with, since I was spending a lot of money on this encasement. A couple days after I made my payment, I received an email from Robert asking if I could make my payment through Zelle (I'm guessing because of less fees to the business), but not wanting to refund me any of the $35 credit card fee he charged me. I sent him a copy of my bank statement that showed I already made my payment on June 20th. I called Robert on July 1st and asked if he could send me a photo before he ships, which he did and he said it will ship out by UPS on July 2nd and should take one day for delivery. I received an email on July 2nd from UPS that the label was created and will be delivered on July 3rd. I waited all day July 3rd and no delivery. I was a little upset but understood the holiday was the next day. I figured it would ship out on July 5th with a delivery date of the 6th. July 6th came and went with no delivery. I checked UPS app and it still said only a label was created. I called Robert on Monday, July 8th and asked about the shipping of my encasement. He came up with excuses and guaranteed that my encasement will go out today. Update: I just received an email from UPS that they have received my package and should be delivered tomorrow.

When I picked up the trophy, I brought it to their attention that it was incorrect and they responded with "oh, I don't remember you mentioning that when you dropped it off." I proceeded to ask for the form I filled out that had it as a single word and conveniently they had "no idea where it was at". I asked for them to fix it and they said I would have to be charged again. Absolutely unacceptable when the mistake was theirs and not mine. They also did not place an accent mark over an e, that I specified as well. I would rather drive to Camarillo or Thousand Oaks (I live in Ventura) than give any more business to these people.
