I'm really upset about my Dad's experience at the Keller Springs Rd Home Depot. On October 1, 2025,…read moremy Dad visited the Home Depot store in the morning to buy home supplies for our family. What he expected to be a regular trip to the store turned into a disappointing and saddening experience. My Dad went to the self-checkout hoping to purchase his items, only to be met with rude behavior and poorly disguised microaggression from an older employee named "James". This employee yelled at my Dad in front of other customers and even said: "You don't know what I'm saying," completely dismissing my Dad's concerns. When my Dad went to complain to the manager on duty, she had excused this employee's behavior by saying: "Maybe he's having a bad day." We all have bad days, but that shouldn't be an excuse to embarrass and humiliate a customer who's simply trying to shop. My Dad has had many other issues with this store, but this was the final straw. He has been a loyal customer at this store for 15 years, and we can confidently say that we will no longer shop at this location. I also advise against any other Hispanic/Spanish-speaking people from shopping here. My Dad was able to advocate for himself today because he knows English, but I worry about those who don't, especially during these unpredictable times. During their busiest times, you may have to wait a little bit if you need help getting things off the top shelf or anything in the lumber department, but that seems to be the case with all hardware stores. The cat at Green Acre is indeed beautiful, but unfortunately, its presence has wreaked havoc on the retail space. Despite this unnerving aspect, I did spot an exquisite Alocasia Zebrina. This find was the shining moment in an otherwise unpleasant visit. Sadly, I didn't venture into their outdoor section, as the state of the houseplant area was disheartening enough. Many of the plants appeared neglected, with signs of overwatering and distress. It was disappointing to see such potential overshadowed by poor maintenance. If this Green Acre location wishes to improve, they could learn a lot from the Green Acres location in Melissa, whose plant manager truly excels. Her expertise and care are evident, and similar attention is needed in Irving to revive their plant offerings and overall customer experience. Called back on June 20th, were told Michael was on another call, and unsurprisingly, no follow-up ever came. He asked us to text instead, which we did. Still, zero response. The only communication since has been Mike vaguely claiming he tried following up with someone, which--given the pattern--is likely untrue. We've lost months trying to get a straight answer on a simple order that was supposedly in stock. He then sent us to shopify which did not provide any additional visibility. Like many others have said in their reviews, the customer service is beyond unacceptable, and Michael is unresponsive, evasive, and confrontational when pressed for updates. If the product is not in their warehouse and ready to load into your car, do not trust promises or timelines. I deeply regret not checking these reviews before making a purchase. We've always tried to purchase from local providers, but this experience has changed our approach. In addition to the cosmetic appeal, there were extensive needs for hardscape repair, a redesign and installation for our sprinkler system, and to tackle drainage issues. We were afraid we would need to coordinate efforts and schedules for several different companies to meet this wide variety of needs. However, Grow It Land Designs had the expertise and skill set to provide a one-stop solution and resources to execute this plan to address all of our needs in a manner that wildly exceeded all of our expectations . Skills and knowledge are based expectations for any company you would wish to do business with. Grow It land designs far exceeded all expectations for landscape company, or any organization you would trust to take care of your home. Communication and responses to questions were detailed and timely. All members of the Grow It Land Design team were extremely professional, courteous, and very respectful of our needs. This was a multi week project and throughout the time they were very considerate not only of our daily family routines( including pets !! ) but also very sensitive to any concerns of our neighbors might have regarding possible disruptions during this time.
