Really disappointed with my experience with Dr. Kahn and I would not recommend her…read more I originally saw her in January for an upper bleph consult because I was fully prepared to move forward with surgery. During that consult, she specifically told me she did not think I needed a bleph and instead said I would be a good candidate for upper eyelid filler. I trusted her opinion and decided to pursue that route instead. I had also previously seen her for a peel that cost $400 and completed that procedure. I had booked a Moxie treatment at one point because I felt heavily pressured into it by her, but ended up cancelling that single appointment. About a month ago, I called to book the upper eyelid filler appointment we had discussed during my consult. I mentioned I was driving from Kansas, which strangely seemed to make her question whether I would actually show up. I assured her I would. I then drove 4.5 hours for this appointment. When I arrived, she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about and immediately said, "Upper eyelid filler is not what you need. You need a bleph." I was shocked because that was the complete opposite of what she originally told me and the entire reason I made the 9 hour round trip in the first place. She then asked if I had gotten any Botox or filler elsewhere since our last appointment. I said yes. Instead of focusing on the treatment I actually came in for, the appointment turned into criticizing other things about my face that I was not even there to discuss. She told me my under eye filler done elsewhere did not look natural and should probably be dissolved. She also said previous Botox had been "placed wrong" and was pushing my eyelids downward. She recommended doing "a little Botox" to help lift the area. I agreed. At absolutely no point was pricing discussed beforehand. I have gotten Botox for years, regularly get 50 to 60 units, and have NEVER spent anywhere close to what happened here. Because she specifically said "a little Botox," I assumed it would be a relatively small charge. After the treatment, she asked for my credit card, processed the payment, and casually told me she would email me a receipt. Only after the charge went through did I ask how much it was. The total was $600. I waited in my car for over 30 minutes for the receipt and never received one. I finally called the office because I still had not received the receipt and wanted to know how many Botox units I had actually been injected with. The front desk told me they "charge by area" instead of by unit. I finally received the receipt 2 hours later, but it still did not include the number of units injected. Another frustrating part of this experience was the complete lack of follow up and transparency afterward. Despite multiple follow ups, nobody ever called me back to answer my questions about how many Botox units I was injected with. Instead, I was sent a medical records/photo release form that was completely unrelated to what I was asking for. I was not requesting my photos or medical records. I was simply asking for the number of Botox units injected during my appointment because that information was missing from my receipt. The entire experience was misleading, unprofessional, and honestly bamboozling. My biggest issue is not even the Botox itself. It is the complete lack of transparency. Recommendations completely changed from one visit to the next, pricing was never discussed before treatment, the receipt lacked basic information, and follow up questions were ignored. Another red flag to me was the way the office is run. I later realized Dr. Kahn is also the person answering phones and booking appointments herself because I had spoken to her directly multiple times before without realizing it was actually the doctor. She answers the phone as "Dr. Kahn's office" and handles scheduling personally. There only seemed to be one additional staff member there as well. Combined with the confusion about my treatment plan, lack of transparency about pricing, unanswered follow up calls, and incomplete receipt information, the entire experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. Honestly, looking back, this may have been a blessing in disguise because after this experience I would never feel comfortable trusting her to operate on my eyes. If this is how communication and follow up are handled for Botox questions and basic billing transparency, I cannot imagine how stressful it would feel as a surgical patient if you had concerns, questions, or were unhappy with your results and were ignored the same way.

I left the appointment under the impression that we had mostly finalized the plan and that I would soon receive an email with a quote and available dates for August or September--especially since August had been presented as a very real possibility during our initial email exchange. However, after the consultation, I received no follow-up whatsoever. I reached out multiple times via email to gently follow up and ask for an update, hoping for at least a brief acknowledgment--but was completely ignored. Not a single response came until I eventually asked for a refund, at which point I received a reply within the hour. I can completely understand and respect a busy schedule. But given how prompt the communication was leading up to the consultation and when a payment or refund was involved, it's difficult to believe that she was simply too busy to respond at any point in between. This level of disregard for a patient's time, money, and expectations is unacceptable--especially from a medical professional. It's not just unprofessional; it calls her ethics into serious question. If this is how she handles something as basic as communication and follow-up, I cannot imagine placing my trust in her for surgery. I've since decided to pursue my procedures with another provider who values communication, follow-through, and patient care.

The bellybutton I told her I did now want us not where it should be and is still painful to this day. I also got an open would and far disposes along my scar line that is still very visible and crooked. As soon as I pointed out my bellybutton was wrong she never saw me again! Only her assistants helped with my open wound from where the cuts did not line up correctly.

Wasted numerous hours on several days fighting a deductible that we do not have if "in-network". Something does not add up! Why would a Doctor's office be considered in network but demand out of network fees??! Insurance coordinator/manager in Highland Village was extremely rude and lacked any sense of professionalism or customer service. Rolled her eyes and kept interrupting while trying to explain the situation and trying to find a resolution, other than just paying thousands of dollars. Also, nearly impossible to get through to a an actual person on the phone, much less find the right person for the location in question.
