Good but not Cheap.Could spend an hour looking around at the great selection and mini bottles you can't find anywhere else.I was looking at some beer and packs of coolers that weren't priced so a point off for that.

Joined a friend for a fantastic event here last night : World Whisky Cocktail Seminar. Hosted by Matt Jones and held at Legacy Liquor, I had a great evening. We were seated at a long table towards the back of the store where we tried six different cocktails during the evening. Mr. Jones was here from out of town, a guest speaker/bartender if you will, and in concert with Legacy staff they put on a tremendous experience. Matt had a huge breadth of knowledge as an award winning bartender, and spoke at length about everything from the origins of the different whiskey types and brands to various cocktails, how to craft perfect ice cubes and some of the accessories used in bartending. Literally - this was not a dry lecture - it was engaging and incredibly interesting! The venue is really spacious - surprisingly so for the area. The staff making and serving the drinks were professional and courteous throughout. Parking can be a bit challenging but I would recommend looking either on west 2nd or slightly further south. Unmetered spots are still around if you look for them. Legacy is also transit accessible - only about a ten minute walk from the Olympic Village skytrain. I would happily return here for another one of their events, or to get a recommendation for something special for a party or a gift! Based on my experience I would also highly recommend their seminars/tastings!

Now this is a fancy liquor store! Legacy Liquor Store holds a lot of tasting events so be sure to check their calendar. Some are free and some are ticketed events with a bit of food. When the husband and I decided to drop in, they were having a Wiser's Tasting. They let us try their regular bottle and special blend (surprisingly good). This store is quite big and you can find the most obscuer brands of beer here. I even found my favorite beer from Belgium, Satan Red. Happy = Me.

First wine delivery was great. Follow up email to confirm the date. Friendly driver. Second delivery was not good. Driver did not use the intercom during his first attempt. Store called to confirm I was home. Driver returned later and finally used the intercom so I could let him into the condo building. Rude upon arrival. Wreaked of cigarette smoke. Blamed me for the first attempt. Website could be more user friendly with more photos and better searching capability but you are still great!!! #novexcourier bad

The Mercedes of liquor stores--the best ever. Walking here felt like stepping into a Whistler hotel lobby entrance, with the mahagony wood and plants, and high ceilings. My favourite section here is the Remy Martin display case: classy, elegant with lounge seating too. Not sure if this is actually a place to have drinks, as it's right in front of their cigar lounge! How elegant is that? And the tasting room in the back--their communal table will put some restaurants into shame. Looking forward to an event here one day.

This place is humongous and has the best liquor/accompaniment selection in town. Wow! Have passed by Legacy Liquor Store over the last couple years, but always neglected to go inside, thinking it was a tiny little beer/wine store, as most are. Boy, was I mistaken. Legacy Liquor Store is a giant and I'm willing to bet they can fully service the ingredients for your dream bar at home. There's all kinds of products here: beer (microbrews, imports, limited runs...), wine, liquor, liqueur, cocktail mixers, pre-mixed cocktails, cigarettes, cigars, gift accessories, drinking accessories, pairings... the list goes on. The store is also very well laid out to take the browsing customer on a journey, but handily leaves customer with a feeling of convenience and intrigue (e.g. "I came to buy spirits/wine for the house party, here they are conveniently at the front" and "boy does Legacy carry a wide range of products!"). To be fair, I'm not sure at all what the prices are (I was in awe at the selection and store layout) so I can't comment there, but the store is worth a visit.

    Best beer ever.

Wooooooooooo!! Nice selection of booze and Jack Daniels... Beautiful setting. Feeling classy. Good service. Awesome point card reward. You got one point for every dollars you spend. So... When you get 500 points. You can get about 25.00$ of FREE booze. It's like Mardi Gras. Or Christmas morning. Whammy!!!!!!!

But it's got such a great selection of bottles, including lots of delicious choices from BC. I often stop by looking for a bottle to accompany a meal and the staff is always on hand to answer any wine-related questions. They're helpful, but not pushy and don't judge you in the way you know you're often judged by snooty oenophiles. A great way to buy wine is to taste it first, which makes Thursday (and sometimes Friday) the best afternoon to drop by Lennox. They host a wine tasting at the counter. While you're at the counter, look up ... way up on the shelves and you'll find a great selection of dessert wines from BC. Dessert wines (especially coveted ice wines) make excellent boozy presents. If you're traveling and want to take a bottle to thank your host, ice wine is just a small bottle and easy to pack!

They are well worth supporting. They are trusting that the lower prices will bring in enough people to make up for their low margin and so far it seems to be working for them. City Square might seem like a pain for parking, but there are several 15 minute spots off of Ash street outside so you don't have to go into the underground parking. Great selection of craft and import beer.. I like a good selection of quality inexpensive wines and they get two big thumbs up for that. They even sell mead and Sea Cider.

When I got off the bus and so Granville I thought oh there used to be a government liquor store here surely the goodness serious at least a private one nearby. And so I found Jaks and it was a wonderful experience . Great selection, more like a baby LCB than a wine store or some of the other liquor Outlets just basically have a lineup of basically overly marked up pricing. I just drink something like polarize or silent Sam with low-cal cranberry juice on the Rocks but as a martini. I was able to purchase four bottles and the only markup was two bucks . Two bucks. After just paying almost $10 more for a 26 year Alberta vodka. And they actually wanted $44 for $28 bottle of Absolute Vodka. Upmarket gouging never sits well with me. So, while I still mostly by my vodka at a government store, when I want to just go out and have a lovely afternoon and bring home some wine and some vodka i zoom up from my little corner of Yale town by bus to the south Granville District and pick up my supplies . Thanks guys , you are doing a great service to us Vancouver rights and I for one I'm delighted and happy to support you.

Upon first impressions, this is a small boutique sized wine store (we are in South Granville after all) that tries. It's a split level, the entrance (higher) level is wine, lower level (exit) is beers. There is a little bit of everything grouped by countries. A few bottles of each brand, and looks like a good mix of mid-priced to higher priced bottles. Appreciated the fridges lined with white wine. I imagine it serves as a good last minute "grab and go." I had a few minutes to browse before I was asked if I needed help. They didn't have the bottle I was seeking but the guy spent at least 5 to 10 minutes going over some other wines he recommended, taking my budget into account and asking other questions (i.e. was I looking for a specific varietal, region, etc.) He mentioned I could bring the bottle back if we were unsatisfied with the wine but I didn't ask how that would work... I would feel sheepish to bring back an opened bottle of wine. In the end I took a bottle that was recommended, within my budget, and though I had never heard of this winery before, turned out to be a great hit at dinner. Thanks!

I don't travel with a wine opener, so being able to pick up a bottle that's a screw top is very convenient. This store was clean and well organized. The store is small but packs a lot of selection. There is a wine section in the back that offered bottle of reds between $10-$20. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, so the options were right up my alley. I went with a bottle of Cono Sur Bicicleta, a Cabernet Sauvignon (Wine of Chile 2012) for $14. It's medium-bodied, dry and fruity. You might find it cheaper at LCBO, but not by much. The label reads: A deep plum red with aromas of red fruit, cassis, black plums, and soft spices, together with a fruity, structured palate. Goes well with strong cheese, hearty stews and grilled cuts of beef.

We were fortunate enough to snag a tiny one by the pool tables but it wasn't big enough for food and drinks so we ended up moving before ordering food. We shared a small plate of nachos and a chicken wrap with fries. I don't recommend the guacamole, as it wasn't very fresh and just had a weird texture. The food was very average in my opinion. At least they have a decent beer list. They had karaoke and there was a steady stream of people waiting to take their turn on the microphone. Those folks were much braver than me, that's for sure. I love that they still have pull tab machines, those are always going to take some of my money, if for nothing else but the nostalgia. I ended up winning a few bucks, so that added to the overall positive experience. Service was ok - there seemed to be a bit of confusion over who our server was, but once that was resolved, we had no issues. It was fairly loud but not so much that we couldn't still carry on a conversation. I'd probably go back, because there are not too many places in the area that still have a pool table.
