This is a popular neighborhood pub serving the area. Parking is available in the lot and it does get crowded on weekends. There are daily specials and happy hours. And activities on different nights. Saturday night is karaoke and it is surprisingly entertaining. People do like to sing here! Great fun! The drinks are very affordable here. The most popular dish seems to be the wings. Many tables have that. Wednesday night is wings night at $9 a plate. About 10 wings in there. It is $10 a plate every night from 9 pm. There are pool tables at one side of the room. Good place to come here for a bite and drink and some entertainment.

Tried the wings here after a friend's recommendation. Okay they have seriously good wings here. Recommended. As of the time of writing, wings are $9/lb on Wednesdays. Normal price is $14. Buddies and I tried 3 flavours. All of them were good. My favourite was the lemon pepper (dry rub), followed by Caribbean jerk, and honey garlic. They don't skimp on the sauce, and the dipping sauce (ranch?) goes very well with the wings. Definitely need to come by more on Wednesdays. Recommended.

I love the Great Bear Pub. B and I came here on Wednesday to take advantage of the wings deal here. It is $9 per lb. on Wednesday. It came with a small dip and some veggies. There are a few flavors of wings to choose from at Great Bear Pub. The wings were good size. Best of all there is no rules when ordering the wings. Other than the Wednesday special, they also have happy hour special and daily special on other days. I also got their happy hour calamari special for $10. That was very tasty as well. Good portion size. Everything here were fresh and on point. No complaint. Service was great. At night they have Karaoke. Also they have Pool Table games along with darts. Looks like a fun hang out place. B and I came here to just to have wings. If you have friends in town and looking for some activities at night, I suggest coming to Great Bear Pub. They open late too.

We had a pretty good experience for our first time coming here while visiting Vancouver. We got the Street Side Tacos with the Ancho Chicken which was delicious but spicy!!! Good spicy but spicy :) Also got the Beef Dip and the Perogie and Chorizo with house salad. All the food was really good. The beef dip was good but didn't come out exactly the way we ordered it but they fixed it and it was great. The staff was nice and we will plan on being back next time we're in town.

They infuse their own vodka!!!! Let me say that slower: They... Infuse... Their... Own... Vodka. It's amazing. Bacon vodka? Hell yes. The perfect appetizer! Chipotle Pepper Vodka? In a ceasar, dinner is done. Jelly Bean Vodka and Vanilla Vodka? The most delicious desserts! Espresso Vodka? An after dinner treat and the easiest way to Irish up that Martini I am hooked. They have a great drink menu, an awesome selection of craft beer and guess what? The food is good! On Wednesday they have $0.35 wings; we needed a lot to soak up all that vodka. I highly recommend the Szechuan (kinda of like an amazing Teriyaki), the sweet heat and the sea salt & lime. The dry ribs are also delicious. What a find! The Great Bear is totally worth checking out. Very impressed with everything!

3.5 stars! I have had a much better experience here over my last couple of visits. In particular, I found that the food and service quality has greatly improved. On my last visit, we ordered a round of appetizers - Street Side Chicken Tacos, Hot Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Reuben Sliders, and Sweet Heat Chicken Wings; and some drinks. Previously, my complaints with respect to the food had a lot to do with the fact that it came out cold (which made it seemed less fresh). However, I did not have that problem at all these last couple of times around. All of the appetizers we ordered were delicious and fresh. I would honestly order them all again, in addition to recommending them to anyone who has yet to try. - Street Side Tacos - The chicken was very well-seasoned and very juicy. - Hot Spinach & Artichoke Dip - The dip is creamy and addictive. - Reuben Sliders - The dijon and sauerkraut really adds to the overall taste. - Sweet Heat Chicken Wings - Flavour is great and the wings were piping hot on the inside. The manager here is very in touch with ensuring his customers are satisfied. After my previous review, he was very interested in getting feedback on what could be improved. As a customer, I appreciate that immensely ... especially seeing the amount of effort that has been invested into making improvements! Our waitress (Angela) was also fantastic and made great drink recommendations. If you come here, I hope you get her! She'll really put a smile on your face.

Oak is part of the JRG fam, which i find hit or miss. I'm a big fan of Livelyhood in port moody (i think they have a great chef cuz the food is usually pretty good). I went to celebrate my nephews 8th birthday there (he said his reasoning was cuz they had good breakfast, and he could watch the hockey game). It was during happy hour so there are some cheaper options. I decided to get 1 corn dog ($4), and the pretzel ($6). When they server came with the food she was like "they accidentally made you 3 corn dog". well hey i'm not complaining! The pretzel arrived and looked ROUGH. i could tell it was going to be awful, i had a few bites and was not having it, it was dry, no salt or seasoning and the dip only worked for the corn dogs. I really enjoyed the corn dogs, they were fresh and tasty! I ended up letting the server know i was not happy with the pretzel and that it was dry and very bland. I usually have decent experiences here, the service is good, nice layout and the food is decent, but this pretzel was rough. She was really nice about my feedback and when my bill came, it was only $4. Thankfully she had taken the pretzel off my bill and was super super nice about it. Shoutout to Breanne! Maybe it's time to switch up the pretzel recipe but all in all, oak is a decent place if you're looking for pub food in langley. I prefer it over townhall for some reason.

I was captivated by the sights of the river from the inside of the restaurant, and thought it looked great during the winter. The interior of the bar & grill looked modern but also high-toned in design. I ordered the Cajun Pasta with the Pineapple Ginger Punch virgin cocktail for dinner. When I ordered the drink, the bartender told me that they had no pineapple juice, but used orange juice instead, which I thought made a better substitute. The ginger punch had a strong ginger-taste to it while still maintaining a solid good flavour. The pasta dish was exquisite. The rose sauce had a good zesty flavour that was not at any point overly spicy. The chicken and sun-dried tomatoes were great in it and went exceptionally good with the sauce. I also enjoyed the focaccia bread that came with the entrée. The bartender and servers were very serviceable and did not find myself waiting too long for anything. I had a great first experience at the Kingfisher Bar & Grill and would recommend this restaurant for any meal of the day.

Starting with the buffet, it was vast with varieties of breads, live omelet counter, a chocolate fountain (every kid's AND adult's dream breakfast item!), fruits, roasted veggies, pancakes, salad bar, hummus, even dumplings! mini burritos, the quintessential sausage, eggs, pastries etc. The spinach feta danish and the mini burrito really stood out The quantity was awesome, taste was good too although I would not say top notch. Coming to the skillet breakfast in lieu of the buffet contained, eggs, potatoes, beautifully buttered and toasted sourdough, tomato, hashbrown, avocado, chicken sausage, chocolate croissant, latte, all of which was awesome with the exception of the sausage which was average. The quantity of the food was not a lot since we were hungry within hours whereas the buffet food was so much that we did not need to eat till dinner!
