Very disappointed with our experience at Legacy North Apartments. We had high hopes when we moved into Legacy North because the property is in such a nice area of Plano, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Our apartment had ongoing maintenance and cleanliness issues. At one point, drywall was literally falling apart and coming off the wall onto the floor. We also experienced several plumbing problems, and our oven was not working for an extended period of time. The condition of the community was also frustrating. We regularly saw trash left on the ground, and some residents allowed their dogs to use the sidewalks without picking up after them. The lack of upkeep by some residents, combined with the condition of some of the apartments, made the community feel much less well-maintained than we expected. Customer service was another major issue. It was often extremely difficult to get in contact with leasing agents or management, and getting problems addressed felt unnecessarily difficult. Communication and responsiveness were not what we expected from a property in this area. We only signed a 13-month lease, and by the time it was over, we couldn't get out of there fast enough. We were genuinely disappointed because we went in with very high expectations. I do want to give credit where it is due: the maintenance staff themselves were hardworking, polite, and professional whenever they came to our apartment. My impression was that they simply had far too many units and issues to manage, which made it difficult for them to keep up with everything. Overall, our experience was not what we expected, and based on our experience, we would not choose to rent at Legacy North again. read more

Unfortunately this apartments have gone from bad to worse. When I started living here not so pleasant with the elevator, the doors don't shut properly and they look terrible. The walls to the floors of the entrances from the elevator are nasty. Is just terrible... now we pay for valet trash but looks like they pick it up and dump it on a pile and leave it there having the hallways smell nasty with mosquitoes everywhere and flying into inside of the apartments from such a unsanitary place. I really hope they work on getting this apartments cleaned up. It's such a pretty area they have a lot of potential to get this apartments looking better. Hi Ya'll! I've been living here since January of 2025 and I've had some issues. My most current one is with Legacy North not upholding to their own responsibilities with our new and lacking gate system. When I let them know the automatic gates had been left open for weeks at a time, they just said, "yeah, it happens like that". When I let them know the gated parking garage was one of the main reasons for choosing this complex, and I just wanted an addendum off of my lease for the month because the locking gate system was not working, they refused saying "the gate is not part of the lease". It's an additional $61 on top of rent. But that is not what is charged monthly. The Utility services nickle and dime you for EVERYTHING. And to be clear, I am in the smallest Studio apartment Legacy North has. I do not have a washer or dryer, and I do not run the dishwasher. I live by myself, no pets, no partner. Premium rent for housing project environment. They list lots of ammenities but, there is no use for six pools when you cannot use them because lack of proper maintenance. The gym equipment obsolete and in poor condition. The buildings have broken safety gates, allowing free access to non residents. Elevators, ja ja, broken three out of four weeks per month. There is no street/sidewalk cleaning or de-icing. In general the buildings look run down, dingy, dilapidated and mismanaged. I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that these apartments are inexplicably one of the worst apartments I have ever lived. Their apartments are continuously down, when you call customer service ,mind you, they have a central line with people who don't even live here. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Legacy North and the way Bell Partners handled my security deposit. Despite leaving my apartment clean and in nearly the same condition as when I moved in, my deposit was withheld for alleged carpet replacement. I was not present for the inspection, and no photos were provided--just a receipt. I was also charged $50 for bathroom cleaning with no explanation. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. During my lease, I dealt with: Security doors that never worked Elevators that were constantly down Garage remotes that constantly failed A decomposing rat in the garage for over a month A door falling from the 4th floor onto my balcony (1/2/25) with no response from staff Loud music in hallways late at night Alarms blaring from empty apartments Trash and dog waste in stairwells Overflowing trash rooms and broken elevators Undeliverable packages due to confusing address systems When I tried to resolve the deposit issue, I was dismissed by the apartment manager and told to wait for the regional manager--who never contacted me. This is by far the worst apartment I have ever lived in. 1. Management The office will not do anything for you, no matter how many times you ask or complain. The office does not have any phones, so the line you call that's associated with the building goes to a random call center. They claim that they forward your message to the office and they will work on it, but the front office never receives the messages. The point I'm trying to make is any issue you have will never get resolved. 2. Trash Trash everywhere. In the trash rooms, none of the trash seems to make it to the chute. You have to pay for valet trash, which comes on an inconsistent basis. All the hallways and garages smell like shit, and if you are one of the lucky residents that has a dumpster parked outside their window, then your apartment will smell like waste 24/7. 3. Facilities The gym smells like the worst locker room you've ever smelled...times 10. I've asked management for cleaning or air fresheners to be installed for weeks and they keep saying they are in the process of doing it, but they are not doing anything about it. The common spaces are disgusting and neglected. The parking gate and elevators are always broken. 4. Safety and Security There are no security cameras or security guards anywhere on the campus from what I have seen. Multiple access doors have broken locks. I've seen suspicious activity at night from my window. Multiple noisy neighbors that exceed the common noise threshold, management, once again, refuses to address the issues. My review got deleted. Crazy. I'll leave it again. This week there was plumbing/water issues to where my kitchen sink garbage disposal randomly started flooding. When going to the management office they said they could look at it the next day. As it's flooded. My neighbors apartment started doing the same thing that night as well. Now we have super ghetto spray paint graffiti in all the hallways from construction, with a fowl smell. Then last night some neighbors (who do this once a month) decided to have a free for all "garage sale" and put everything they don't want, out by the elevator that wasn't worked in literally 6 months. I don't expect an apartment complex to run perfectly, but this place has gotten super ratchet and very disgusting looking. It feels unsafe, gross and I'm honestly embarrassed to live here or have anyone visit me here with the lack of upkeep of this place. These are just the issues recently. I don't think I could leave a review short enough for the other issues. I've lived in apartments my whole life, so I mean this that I know apartments get busy and again no one is perfect. But this place is so rundown and gross. There's a reason they're doing 6 weeks free and so many apartments are vacant, because everyone is moving out and no one likes it. DO NOT RENT ANYTHING OF BELL PARTNERS INC. This has been the worst housing experience of my life. From the very first night, the apartment was unlivable. The entire unit reeked of cigarettes so strongly that my asthma was triggered immediately. Every piece of clothing, every item of furniture, even my bed now carries the stench of smoke. But the smoke was only the beginning. What I discovered next was horrifying: a cockroach infestation so severe that they were crawling through my kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, and even inside my refrigerator. They got into my food and belongings -- nothing was safe. I was paying rent for an apartment that no human being could safely live in. The property manager, Daniel Doxey (Legacy North, Bell Partners Inc.), has shown complete neglect and indifference. He ignores calls, doesn't answer emails, and is conveniently never in the office. When I finally tracked him down in person, he asked for 48 hours to solve the problem. After more than a week, absolutely nothing had been done. Management refused to provide another unit, refused to cover the loss of my food, refused even to help with cleaning costs for my contaminated belongings. Seems things have taken a turn for the worse under the new management. Despite a monthly $35 fee, the valet trash is not being picked up as scheduled. Suddenly numerous dumpsters have appeared throughout the entire property, and you can imagine what that smells like in a Texas summer. My building elevator has been down a total of over 60 days and I have only been here a year. It is currently down going on a month now. The pool is not being cleaned like it should. I recently received a lease renewal with my options and then suddenly 4 days later, while I am in the middle of my work day, an email comes through thanking me for renewing for another 12 months. I have not agreed to renew at all so this must be a mistake. I tried going to the rent office but am being told to come back the next day due to staffing issues. I overheard the front desk clerk telling a tenant that maintenance leaves at 5pm so his 5:30pm request cannot be completed. This place is turning into a nightmare. read more

Our experience with Legacy North/Bell Properties back in March 2026 was HORRIBLE, to say the least. A week after signing a lease we were notified that the apartment we agreed upon was not available after all and instead they tried to move us into a much more expensive unit. We denied that offer and asked if there was another unit closer to what we wanted to pay in rent. The leasing agent was not helpful at all and via email informed me that I could go online and look for myself. After finding another unit and signing a lease, when it came time to move in, the unit was far from move-in ready. The unit smelled like urine, the light fixture in the kitchen was broken, the living area floor had scuffs that they suggested we cover with furniture. The windows were filthy, the air conditioning did not work and the guest bathroom toilet was broken. WORST OF ALL, were the live and dead ROACHES in the unit. Due to my health at the time, we decided to stay in a hotel while we expressed our desire to vacate the unit because it was unfit to live in. The leasing manager at the time agreed that the unit was not livable and that we would be released from the lease. She also agreed that we should receive reimbursement for all of the unexpected costs incurred from the mistake made by Legacy North/Bell Properties. A week later we received notification that the area manager denied our request for reimbursement for all the costs except for the monies that we paid to secure the unit. And that amount would only be paid once we signed a legal agreement stating that we would never share our experience with anyone. I did not sign the agreement because I felt it was unfair to not be reimbursed for the extra costs that resulted from their mistake. It has now been almost six months since this experience and no one from Legacy North/Bell Properties has reached out to me. Only to reply in a Google review that they would do better for future residents and that the reason I have not been reimbursed for anything is because I did not sign the agreement. We are beyond disappointed with Legacy North/Bell properties and have made it a mission to inform everyone we know in our personal and professional lives how we were treated by this apartment community. I have lived here since August 2025. The move-in experience was terrible. The front office was absolutely clueless about the whole process and almost put me and my roommate in the wrong unit. That was with Bell Partners (the old management company). Since then, a new management has taken over and I cannot believe how it has gotten worse. Valet trash is charged but they barely pick it up. Trash is everywhere. It smells in the hallways. The buildings have a roach problem and their "pest control" is no help. It is absolutely disgusting. The gate to get into our parking garages has been broken for over 2 months now. I almost laugh because of how abysmal this apartment complex is. They market it as this luxury experience because it is in a nice location, but do not get fooled. This place is a train wreck and it only seems to be getting worse. I lived on the 5th floor. The elevator was down for 4 months and struggled to get my furniture out of the apartment using the stairs 5 floors up. When I finally moved out the elevator was still not fixed. The people that pay good money towards this place have to bring groceries up the flight of stairs. And what about a handicapped person? When asked about it, they either dodge the question or keep feeding you lies, saying "it will be fixed next week." The elevator thing being down that long is probably against Osha standards, and I am going to look into that. Dog poop in the stairs making the whole stairs stink and was left there for weeks. Tenants are loud as hell and the management does nothing to prevent it. Also, the garbage chute room is always filled with trash because the workers don't want to clean it due to having no elevator probably. Also, the garbage service that picks up the trash will make an excuse of why they can't grab your trash at your door; they will leave a note on your door with a list of why they won't grab it and you pay 25$ for that service for them to not take your trash. During the summertime its loud as hell and 10pm is the "apartments rule for curfew" but nope, try 3-4am in the morning music blasting. This was the worst place I have ever lived. Buildings look nice, but management is terrible. They recently changed the system for entering each building and totally mismanaged that. They required tenants to use a phone app, but failed to mark the gates with numbers, so the result was that you didn't know which of the million gates you were trying to open. Noise is a problem if you live by a pool or if you live next to or below a noisy neighbor (there's no enforcement by management). They also have a problem with dog waste (again, no enforcement). And the parking situation in the structures is a disaster. Their instructions for who can park where are never clear and keep changing. Also, when you check out, make sure you video yourself turning in your keys and pool bands. Otherwise, you will be charged for them even though you've turned them in. They also have a problem keeping staff. It's a revolving door. And maintenance is poor. You usually have to submit your request more than once. Also, you never know if a maintenance man has visited your apartment to work on your issue because they don't leave a note stating that they had been there. And as stated in other reviews, the building fire alarms keep going off when there is no fire. Of course, this happens at the most inconvenient times and the alarms inside the apartments sound off at the same time, so you can't ignore it. read more

I was shocked to receive an eviction notice despite having auto-pay set up. The system didn't show my payment, and I couldn't access my payment history. They had recently upgraded to a new portal, and the issue clearly stemmed from their end--but instead of acknowledging this, I was blamed. I called and emailed the office multiple times and got no response. When I finally reached someone, they were rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. There was zero empathy, even during the recent severe flooding. I had to rush to Walmart to make a manual payment in a panic, and yet I was still unfairly charged a $200 late fee. This is not how residents should be treated. I've lived in many apartment communities, and this has been by far the worst experience. The management team at Legacy North--including the managers--routinely fails to respond to emails or offer any meaningful support. When I moved in, they didn't even provide a clean apartment. Now, I'm being forced to pay late fees for a system issue and left uncertain if I'm being made to move out or not. They recently introduced a phone app to open the gates, which is a good idea in theory. But if your phone dies, you're locked out of the property. At the very least, they should provide a backup key fob. read more

New system to get into doors has to be used with phone. No phone no entry. Plus it runs down battery of phone. Elevator is always begin repaired and alarm for smoke goes off lots. We have no smoking addendum. But the smoke is so bad in apartment and outside you cannot breathe or get high. Management is not there to help. They act like your the enemy. Management/Staff review: I have yet to move into the apartments and I'm not sure if I will or not (I'll have to update the review if I do), but I have signed a lease and am having second thoughts thanks to the reviews here. I called and talked to Memory, the complex manager. I must say she was very pleasant and easy to talk to: I told her I wanted information about how to break the lease before I moved in. She allowed me to voice my concerns and she remained very calm and answered all of my questions, which I appreciated. She gave me the information I needed and said to reach out to her if I wanted to move forward with the decision not to move in. I will say that since I started the process with Legacy North, I haven't had any problems getting a hold of someone in the office via phone or email. If I could give a negative review I would. To say this is literally the ghetto placed in the middle of Plano! The building is literally holding on by a thread doors through out falling off the hinges. Drywall cracked everything even in the apartment. They have had to come fix my drywall that started leaking back in 10/2023! I keep putting in request explaining there are signs of mold and my health is declining! Every time it rains my ceiling keeps leaking rain water on me, my furniture and the rug in my bedroom. The management is disgusting and unprofessional! I have attached photos of my apartment from the original water stain (to which management said that didn't come from a leak) to today that I was awaken again to rain water dripping on me! They delete most reviews on google and have a bot making them have 4 stars when there is nothing four starts about this place. Also the manager foster ford told me what do I expect the building is old and old building just crack. Which is far from the truth I am a property adjuster who inspects homes due to damages. Building don't just start cracking because they are old, they crack as a sign of a found issue typically meaning the foundation is setting. Which will cause cracks in walls or doors to fall of henges or not fit in the original casing. Do not move here I promise you it is not worth it. I and others are stuck in this lease trying to get out of it because the building is literally falling apart but they are still trying to charge this ridiculous termination fee of $5,000 dollars read more

I was a resident of this complex for a year and just have to say that was more than enough torture, to say that they have no management would also be accurate, no solutions, no information and no common sense, when it comes to solve problems or answering questions, Maintenace wise it was only just one person and therefore, when I had issues it took them up to a week, once I spent almost 4 days with no heater during winter. The mandatory valet trash supposedly picked up during the week, could spent days without working, and you got charged 35$ valet plus the city pick up that was divided by the entire complex and it varied depending on how many times they had to call the city pick up, because they were doing some renovations, every month the bill increased exponentially on trash services, I'd paid up to 60$ between "valet" and the city pick ups, and still, had a dirty complex. These and many more things I addressed during my lease but were unheard. I wasn't going to write a bad review but they left me no choice, after a tried to reach out Bell Partners by email addressing the worst management I've seen so far, I got no reply, still finished my lease, paid everything in full and moved on to a great and competent complex, although recently and suddenly got a bill from a collections office that apparently I still had some fees left to pay. They charged me 150$ for a cleaning I never agreed nor received while there, I cleaned the entire studio, before leaving (yes, it was a studio apartment) and some other fees including trash pick up and alleged 'damages" for more than 500$!! when I didn't have any furniture, nor pets, nor was aware of this billing until now, and worse, through a collection debtor! In conclusion, DO NOT RENT HERE if you can avoid it, the complex on the outside seems "nice" but in reality is not, the rent prices are nowhere near what the actual rent is with all the mandatory add Ons and fees, if you see a Studio for 1300$ believe you are going to pay around 1600$ on just rent, fees and trash. Ehhhh .... I thought I would enjoy living here but I was very wrong. Pros: -Location -They have a lot of pools. Cons: -The staff is horrible. They do not answer the phone, EVER. They do not communicate efficiently, and there are so many of them you get different answers to the same question. -The units make look newer, but they have old bones. I put in at least 2 maintenance requests a month. Either something is broken or leaking. On top of that they take forever to actually come out. - There's a 75% chance anything you order to your door will be stolen. It's really really bad here and it's disturbing. I've had to call the police because I actually found the person who stole my bookshelves. - Parking is horrible outside of the parking garage. Good luck finding a spot after 5pm. -You pay for valet trash, but they skip days A LOT making the hallways smell putrid. -The units are severely overpriced. Also, make sure to read your statements because I've had to ask the twice to remove a parking space that I don't have. All in all, I can't wait to move. I was supposed to transfer to an on-site apartment, but after several months of delays and miscommunication, when I was finally shown the apartment, it was nothing like I was promised. The place was dirty, not painted, and clearly hadn't been prepared. It even looked like they had just done a major roach treatment. When I expressed my concerns to Linda, all she said was "sorry" and that "our staff is new," offering no real solutions. To make matters worse, they had pre-leased my apartment, so they essentially forced me to move out. Every time I asked for an update, I was promised an email that never came. Hannah was unhelpful, and when I voiced my frustration over the lack of communication and constant misinformation, she simply refused to work with me. Eventually, I was passed off to Anthony, who casually told me, "I don't get paid enough to translate." I had to bring my niece to translate for me just to get things done. The final straw was when I turned in my move-out keys yesterday. I was told they couldn't help me because no one spoke Spanish, and Anthony was unavailable. Completely unprofessional and inconsiderate. Overall, this experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The lady Jillian was super rude when I was coming over to clean a house and this woman went OFF on me when I was being nothing but polite , waving her hand in my face and pointing at me being very aggressive. After 5 years of living here and seen this place go downhill from a premium apartment and then owned by Bell Partners, this management is the worse. I'm finally moving a bought a new home and management has given my movers such bad time for where all the rest of the trucks pull up when people move in/out. The police already told the movers where to park and this rude trash facility person had the guys move again and called the cops one more time. Please don't rent here. This place has a bad management. They don't care at all either. Also mold is growing everywhere here and instead of testing they say we cut it out and throw it away. First elevators never work. I WISH I CAN GIVE THIS HELL HOLE A 0 STAR. I wish I listened and acknowledged all the terrible reviews I read before signing my lease. PLEASE read all the reviews and trust me, they are all true. I was skeptical at first but after being there for 5 months, I began to realize that everyone was not lying. It has been the worst experience and I have lived in 2 other complexes, and nothing has compared to this. Maintenance alone is a nightmare. It took them 2 weeks to fix my leak and honestly it would have taken longer had I not called and went off on them because they FORGOT. I wasn't able to shower in my bathroom at all and RACHAEL told me I could have although who knew where the dripping water came from. My kitchen sink and bathtub both got clogged multiple times and it also took them a while to fix it. When I began moving in August, of course the elevator was broken and stayed out of order for a LONG time. It was the hardest thing trying to move all this furniture, couches, dining table, etc on the stairs only. After asking multiple times about the elevator, they would each give me different answers. Now, I know they are going to say "our 3rd party vendor..." which is no excuse because you are a big company I moved in August 2023 and was told that gym renovations were going to be done by November, it is April and the gym is still a hot mess. The pools are unfinished and probably wont be until next year. Management is horrible. They are so rude and take 3-4 days to reply to emails or any form of communication. I emailed Siska the new manager a question and i'm not kidding, she took more than a week to reply. OH and to top all this off, I ended up breaking my lease. I cleaned the place SOOOOO well and I have pictures for proof. From my security deposit, they only returned $100 because of miscellaneous BS charges. JUST BECAUSE I DIDN'T USE THEIR CLEANING COMPANY. I have pictures/emails documentation of all the things they charged me for that I brought to their attention prior to moving in. With that, I barely got my deposit back. I wish they had a negative star option. Do not move into Legacy North. So many things wrong with this place. It will help you get into shape tho! The Elevator will be down for more than half your lease. When you go to the office to ask when it will be fixed they will reply with it's not their issue for it's the elevator company's fault. They will almost always be out of the office for a long lunch or leave before closing hours. It usually takes 2-3 days for them to answer the phone and get back to you. The halls are constantly filled with dog pee and trash. Oh and when you move out they will most likely not give you your deposit back. There are multiple reviews that they will charge you when you move out. I am currently still waiting for them to get back to me for receiving my deposit. They had a tow company tow my car because they "couldn't see the permit" which was visible as to plain sight but they are crooks! They have a "contract" with the tow company to make a little extra income!!! My car has been in this same garage for 4 months now, why all of the sudden when we are on a holiday vacation is my vehicle being towed? The longer the time, the more money. Crooks. I kept hearing, the apartment complex has a "contract" with this tow yard, Legacy North has my fiance and I's financial income statements, they know what we make and they targeted us. Move elsewhere. Lived around 4 years mostly during Covid, could not live out due to travel restrictions, family emergencies etc. Used to be good under previous management but the management during Covid years and around 202-23 was horrendous, rude, unhelpful and often unprofessional. the property managers seem to promote toxic culture and never even attempted to help or understand the issue, for example do their door locked and key fobs won't for for weeks , poor water would leave stains on bathtub, extreme weather water leak , poor quality dented appliances when lease said "premium" appliances - did not get any help on any of these issues . The good: 1)location - if you work in the area and want a lock and leave or eat out a lot. 2)Floor plans - some of the floor plans are spacious, good for roommate style or young couples , single 3) safe - seemed To be safe mostly , no Crazy safety issues 4) walkable neighborhood , places to chill out nearby on the weekend , Quite a few spots to hang outdoors to read a book , have a coffee etc during day time also. The bad : everything was manageable if management cared and was friendly but they seems not to care, never helped for any issues and some interactions were extremely unpleasant , unprofessional. 1) Trash stink and overflowing trash in suites 2) water quality and stains of water , be prepared to pay for it when you move out 3) high rent for the quality, raised rents throughout covid when people needed help and there were empty apartments , example of excessive corporate greed over good for the society 4) Parking, management will absolutely not help in garage hit and run, will talk nicely if you ask for help Extremely rude , arrogant and inhuman staff. will not help with anything, will talk rudely on your face, behave badly even resorting to shouting and refusing to talk to a manager when asked. 5) poor plumbing leading to water leaks in extreme weather, management wont help and rudely talk to you to go get insurance money. Will not lower rent if you are impacted, take full rent , you might have to contact city to enforce repairs. 6) work orders are not properly completed on time, but will nickel and dime you while moving out by putting random fees and taking all deposit money. 7) dog poop everywhere 8) will write on lease that apartment have premium appliances but might get dented , old , regular appliances which are not from premium category but entry level In the market. read more
