After my first pup was cremated and they were aware that her sister survived her they provided a matching box for Gracie's remains when her time came. Apollo passed away Wednesday 6/17/2026 at 9:25pm, we found this wonderful place opened 24/7. We called and got there Thursday 6/18 at 8:30am, very nice lady at the reception desk took our info and made wood box with engraved silver name plate arrangement to hold his ashes. Then we went back to the car to gently move him onto the cart to take him to cremation. We paid the bill and leftpick him up in 2-3 days. On 6/19 I got a Text that he was ready for pick up. Hours M-F 8am-5pm & Saturday 8am-3pm & Sunday closed. Definite recommend for being there when we needed them for Apollo's sad passing. read more

Legacy is simply the most outstanding choice in a farewell for a most beloved pet. 1. Process: upon the passing of our Shih Tzu, we contacted legacy outside of normal business hours. Even after changing our mind and requesting a home pick up, they retained professionalism and catered to our whims on that difficult evening. A few phone calls and less than an hour in time, our pup was picked up with the utmost care and compassion by staff. 2. Organizing viewing/cremation: this was done the next day by contacting the facility directly. Took all but 20 minutes to do so and clear cut explanations were involved. Again this was approached in the most caring and compassionate manner. 3. Facility: I previously used them several years ago and chose to use them again for the very flawless streamlined process. This time around, I can attest that the facility itself has undergone a massive upgrade. The private viewing rooms are clean, relaxing and comforting with the selection of music. Our family of four adults comfortably gathered in here, with clear view of our beloved transported into the cremation chamber. 4. Cost: as cost varies per pet, I will not divulge here. However, in comparison to animal crematoriums that offer similar services, you literally get what you pay for here and so much more, considering the care and compassion used to handle your beloved pet. They were very nice and polite. I really enjoyed the fact that they were honest and upfront and very accommodating. They had a very nice selection of urns for your pets and they also have jewelry as well. They can do A paw print for extra money. You can either get an ink print or a Mold of your pets paw print. My husband and I got the wooden box, and the mold. They also gave us a little golden plaque that had our dogs name engraved on it. They gave us a card with a little paper-mâché heart that has perennial seeds in it. It also came with a little piece of paper that has your name on it and your pets name on it saying that they got cremated at Legacy. With the mold, they put his paw print along with two hearts and his name. It was a very nice touch to see. read more

This is the 2nd time I asked them for the paw print and hair samples and they dropped the ball. I asked when I booked them to pick up my service dog after we had him euthanized and I also told the guys who did the pickup that I wanted that. They are very nice and respectful of the remains just missed the 1 shot deal twice. But I'm very relieved to have my friend back home. I can't say enough good things about Legacy Pet Crematory. I called to ask some questions as I was preparing my beloved cats final day. Robin was so super sweet and knowledgeable. I wanted some keepsakes (I chose an small heart urn and necklace) and was welcomed to visit the crematory to pick a few out as there were no pictures on their website. Robin greeted me, showed me everything I wanted to see, talked to me some more knowing I was still struggling having yet to actually put my baby to rest, and answered every question. Her compassion is a gift. I prepaid for everything and the process was seamless. I scheduled the pickup to coincide with my appointment and felt secure knowing everything would go smoothly. Both my vet and the crematory allowed me to leave Maynard in his favorite bed as he was put to rest, this comforts me so much. My baby was ready for pickup just a few days later and I was even given an extra keepsake, I'm forever grateful for it. I had chosen my own urn previously that I purchased elsewhere but they still made me a brass nameplate with his name. Veterinary practices often have their own crematory that they use, I hope more owners know you can request your own and I highly recommend Legacy. Legacy made this difficult time a little easier. Anne was wonderful, she explained everything about how the process works, she was so patient and understanding. They set up a private service for us so we could say our goodbyes in a private room that looked like a little funeral parlor, my boy looked so peaceful, they had him laying on a pillow and covered with a blanket. It was comforting to know they were very gentle with him. The man who met us at the car was also very nice and empathetic and gently took him inside. Anne was so accommodating when I asked if they could put my other dog's ashes, that passed a year ago, together with my dog's ashes that just passed. They put both ashes in two crosses and a heart for us, as well as putting them together in the same urn. We are so grateful they were able to put them together. We brought our beloved dog Saku here on 8/24/23. Saku is Finnish for 'God has remembered'. When we called to ask questions about what we should do Robin was very helpful. She answered all our questions and said to call back if we have any more. She is very caring. Chris came out to get Saku He was kind and compassionate. He was patient. If I could give 0 stars I would! Our beloved King Charles Cavalier Roadie of 14years passed at home unexpectedly around 8pm on 10/1. When figuring out our next steps we found Legacy Pet Crematory who states 24/7 365 they are available. Call, stop by someone will be there for you. We called no answer but on the voicemail it says they are on the line with another pet family. Ok no problem- we decide to drive our pet to the location rather than wait for a pickup bc they also offer private cremations where you can view and know you are receiving your pets ashes which sounds better than sending them off and not knowing what you get back. We arrive at the office location and it is desolate. Not a car in sight, no lights on, no one is at the location that is advertised to be 24/7-365. I can try and understand that maybe someone would need to come into the location if need by "on-call" but not even an answer on both numbers listed. As we're in the parking lot we're calling other places and as it became later there was less availability and also a turn around of 5-7 days to just pick up our dogs ashes. I wrote an email to the info email listed on Legacy's website as well on Saturday evening and today Wednesday have still not received a reply back. Legacy is a SCAM selling you A DREAM of your send off of your family pet only to receive nothing. This made our send off of our dog so much WORSE than it could of been when all we wanted was a memorable moment for our dog of 14years. Even if the website and voicemail had incorrect information you would think the company had the decency to contact me to at least apologize for the "mix up". Nothing- radio silence after email, and voicemails were left. I would not recommend this place to anyone who has a pet bc they don't care what there False advertising and paid ads lead people to believe. What's the worst part is they UPDATED THE HOURS ON THEIR WEBSITE AFTER OUR EMAIL WAS SENT AND NEVER EVEN HAD THE DECENCY TO REPLY TO US FOR THE MISTAKE! Horrible company!!! read more

Came here not knowing all the crematories are affiliated. All city picked up my baby and dropped them off here since I wanted a viewing. Supposedly, they only have crematories on site in Suffolk or you have to go to Nj or CT. So if you can, just come straight here without calling other places. I'm glad I got to have a private viewing so I knew my dogs ashes wouldn't get mixed up. I also waited to get her ashes back. The place was so peaceful and clean. This is not the review I expected to write when I left my house this morning. I'm angry, disgusted, and sick to my stomach. While this may seem petty to some, there's other owners like us who want to absolutely make sure they are getting THEIR OWN pet back for closure. I went against my vet recommendation and chose Legacy since I could do a private viewing, which included watching the cremation, and bring my little girl home the same day. Everything was great when I dropped her off on Tuesday. Robin was wonderful, I enjoyed talking to her and she knew I wanted her other parent to be a part of this by phone, so I waited and watched the viewing for over 2 1/2 hours. I watched the process of the other 2 pets here to completion, so I knew what my closure should look like. My 32 lb dog was burning hard and taking longer than I think they anticipated. I don't think they expected me to be present for the entire process, but that's what I paid for. They appeared to be checking temps, opening her door and closing it repeatedly. As soon as I stepped out for NO more than 2 minutes, they had removed her. I asked Brian through the glass if he could open the chamber so I could see what happened. He mouthed I'm sorry, made a bullshit prayer sign, said 10 minutes she'll be ready and shut the viewing door so I could no longer see what transpired within the less than 2 minutes I stepped out. ALL HE HAD TO DO, WAS OPEN THE CHAMBER DOOR TO SHOW ME THE CREMATION WAS COMPLETE. He seemed rushed when he called Robin into the room to pick up my 580.00 order. I said to her "I hope this is MY dog." She assured me it was, and she was sincere. Not her fault at all. But this is NOT the way I wanted closure for my precious girl to be. I think it was lunchtime, and she was taking too long. I stopped on the way home to pick up a screwdriver to open the urn to make sure the ashes were warm, because I absolutely did not trust this procedure. I'm very happy others found comfort here, but I left feeling incomplete and there's nothing that can be done about it. For us, this experience at Legacy, was no different than the other more popular crematory. read more

We came back to them for our little fella because our first experience was absolutely incredible (Massapequa Park location). This time, the woman at the front desk displayed no compassion, kindness and we felt we were bothering her more than anything. She treated us with arrogance and total disregard for the loss of our beloved fur baby. The place stunk cigarettes smoke and we noticed her smoking right by the entrance, poor choice when we are all coming to cremate our pets. But all credit is owed to the gentleman who kindly and respectfully came to pick up our baby from our arms (he was carefully layed in a box, the body not viewable by anyone), held him as if it was gold, and promised us to care for him. This gentleman is incredible. You feel his kindness, his love for the fur babies coming to their last journey. Sadly, our experience this time makes us wonder if we would pick them again for our other babies. read more
