There were optional memorabilia we could choose from and we opted for the heart tin to keep some of her fur in and the paw print case with photo holder. Oni, our eldest Shiba Inu recently passed and were were heartbroken. It was very sudden. She died at home with us and we were completely lost when it came to what to do. Hubby found All City Pets online and made an appointment for them to come and retrieve Oni to prepare her for us. They would not be able to come for a few hours more so we did what we could to make her look comfortable, especially with our toddler in the home. When the guy came to get her, he called my husband and asked that we bring Oni downstairs to him, making sure she was wrapped up. She covered her in a duvet and brought her down as a family. It was a little unnerving to have to put her in the back of a hatchback, in a large garbage bag. I know she's an animal but I didn't like to have to see that or have my kid see that. My husband out her in the car and I fixed the bag around her because I know I would have gotten upset if I saw the guy just pulling up the bag like she was a pile of laundry or garbage. It took about a week for us to get the call thay Oni's remains were ready for pick up. When we got the the place it looked nice, like a mini funeral home. They have a lot of different containers for your pet's remains. We figured we would be given something simple but nice. The same guy that picked her up came out to give us her remains. She was placed in a bag and in this tin that I did not care for. It looked like something you'd get from the Oriental Trading Company, in bulk. It was a rectangular tin with pictures of paw prints all over it. It still had the barcode label on the bottom. It just felt really cheap. There was no discussion thay I know of, regarding placing her in a nicer container. Others that I have spoken with have told me that their fur babies were placed in mice wooden urns that were beautiful. This container looks like something you'd stoe doggie treats in, on the counter. We're planning to have her remains made into something more beautiful so we can display her proudly and remember her fondly. All City Pets did the their job in a timely manner but I did not like the way that it is done and while I don't have much experience in the matter, as a grieving pet owner, I would think that we should feel much better about the experience. My whole family felt like the process could have been done in a more gentle way. We have another pup who we immediately got checked out, just in case, because losing Oni so suddenly really shook us. He's fine but death is inevitable and we will likely go elsewhere when the time comes to honor his life. read more

For $275 you get your animal friend cremated, and their ashes in a sort of cheap looking container (I'd get something nicer but I'm sure you can find it cheaper on eBay) and I got my baby's paw print for an extra $20. They did a nice job cremating our beloved kitty, and we love his urn and name plate. Seeing everything done well was a comfort. My husband took our kitty in by himself, and said that they were surprisingly not comforting at that time, but softened up a little when they realized he needed some time with Petey before he said goodbye. When I came to pick up his ashes, the gentleman was very polite. The paw prints are made in a kind of styrofoam. In order to make the paw print, they have to press the middle of the paw into the foam. This extends the claws, and so the print comes out looking like a raccoon print - all claws. I chose to pass on ours, although they had been kind enough to make extra sets. I prefer the clay prints, and did not realize there was any other kind. I must say, it's super normal to have the occasional miscommunication with someone over the phone. I did not know it would be so long before I saw my little guy again but it was worth it. He said "The cremations are outsourced," Joe (of All City Pet Cremation) stated in a text "It was an incorrect choice of words [outsourced]. "We [All City Pet Cremation] strongly apologize." Joe also stated in texts that All City Pet Cremation staff do the cremation in New Jersey at their crematory Abby Glen Memorial Park. When I asked Joe, do All City Pet Cremations pay a fee to Abby Glen Memorial Park to do the cremations, Joe answered that All City Pet Cremations does not pay Abby Glen Memorial Park to do cremations because Abby Glen Memorial Park is All City Pet Cremation crematory. But Joe had lied. Abby Glen Memorial Park confirmed that what Joe wrote in texts to me was not true - Abby Glen Memorial Park confirmed All City Pet Cremation take their cremations to Abby Glen Memorial Park, All City Pet Cremation pay a fee to Abby Glen Memorial Park to do the cremation, Abby Glen Memorial Park staff do the cremations, All City Pet Cremation are "transport" and are the "middle men," and Abby Glen Memorial Park does not have a place in Queens. All City Pet Cremations was lying to me and I had trusted All City Pet Cremation with my very very best friend. I trusted All City Pet Cremations' website which states All City Pet Cremations are "not the middle men," But All City Pet Cremations are the middle men. All City Pet Cremation states on their website "deal directly with the crematory." But Joe stole my last act of love to my sweet friend. That last act to plan the cremation with the people who did the cremation. Joe of All City Pet Cremation had lied to me that All City Pet Cremation was the crematory and "your beloved pet is handled solely by us." But, All City Pet Cremations do not do the cremation. Joe continued to lie that All City Pet Cremation and Abby Glen Memorial Park are one and the same. But, that's not true. All City Pet Cremations and Abby Glen Memorial Park are not one and the same. I wish All City Pet Cremation would change All City Pet Cremation website to state the truth that All City Pet Cremation are the middle men and state which crematory(s) All City Pet Cremations go to to do the cremations. Many people want transport to a crematory, and a lot of people want to plan the pick up with the crematory, to plan the cremation with the crematory, and to know the crematory. read more

This will be my last review for Joe. I met him 3 years ago when my Lucky passed and it was and is still so hard to accept. My eyes still water when I talk about my fur baby. My other dog Shea passed on December 31, 2020. I had been dreading it everyday but I knew it was coming. When she finally said goodbye and went to meet her lifetime pal on the other side I called Joe and he told me he would be there first thing in the morning. We lost our beloved Abby almost three weeks ago. I called All City Pet Cremations for help. They came to our house in upper Manhattan and received her. The fellow who picked her up was SO kind. He mentioned his own experience with pet loss and I could just feel his empathy. My children also remarked on how kind he was. About two weeks later we went to pick up her ashes in Queens and found the loveliest storefront for the business - complete with comfortable seats and flyers for pet loss support groups. The same fellow that picked Abs up was there and he remembered me and brought Abby's ashes out and they were packaged beautifully and - they had done a paw print! I was literally moved to tears. Rebel dog had been fighting the good fight for several weeks. When he woke up in the early morning hours on the 13th of this month we all knew it would be for the last time. Rebel used what little strength he had left to go outside, down some stairs, and lay in front of a tree. He passed within minutes. It was probably short sighted of us but we honestly didn't think we would lose him so soon. We were caught off guard and turned to the internet to find out what to do next. We saw All City had excellent reviews and also offered pick ups which we needed. They arrived within a couple hours. Everyone we talked with was respectful and polite. When the ashes were returned we were surprised to see such an elegant box. 10 plus years ago I had two pets cremated and all that was supplied was a basic tin box. This was much nicer. After being notified by the vet office of the passing of my bunny, I was distraught and did not know what I would do with her remains. It is a blinding experience. You really do not know how much a loss of a pet will affect you. Living in a NYC apartment, I did not have the option of burying her in my yard. Loving her so much, I did not have the heart to just dispose of her in the garbage. The vet office offered communal cremation, but I looked at other options. I went on an internet search, and I found a few Pet crematories in NY, and NJ. I made some phone calls. Many were so matter of fact, and very dry. It was apparent that they were concerned with money. However, when I spoke to the gentlemen at All City, I was awe struck of their kindness. They took the time to give their condolences for my loss, and demonstrated sympathy and empathy on my sadness, and concern that my bunny's remains be treated with respect. They assured that my bunny would be cremated individually. They are very professional individuals,. As prevous reviewers mentioned, they do take their jobs seriously, as they know this is important to us! They picked up my bunny's remains from the veterinarians office, and made sure to let me know they picked her up and that she was in good hands. I felt closure after that call, knowing that I was honoring her memory by having her cremated. All City offered to have me view her body at their location, but I declined. However, I appreciated being given that offer. A week later, I received a phone call that my bunny's remains were ready to be picked up. The location is in ozone park, and it is beautiful. Absolutely stunning. You see how much they care for our departed companions. My bunny's remains were placed in a beautiful cherry wood box, with her name plate, and a certificate of cremation. I was also given her last paw prints, which was a wonderful gift. Joe at All City was so kind throughout the process. Torrey always meows when he drinks water. I was enjoying a relaxing Sunday evening waiting for baseball to make me sleep. Melinda walked over to find Torrey in distress. We are so heartbroken. What a pain!!!! My yorkie passed last week on a Friday evening. I went online to look for options to cremate him and came across All City Pets Cremation. I was happy because they said they would come to your home and pick up your pet as part of the service. They required up front full payment so I did that. I was told someone would be there to pick up within an hour.... two hours later No One. I called and called and finally was told that they had an emergency and someone will come in 20 minutes. One hour later .... NO ONE. Having already paid the money I grew a bit concerned. I called back and was told the driver was 10-15 minutes away and he would call when near. The driver did call and when he arrived he arrived with his entire family eating ice cream. He got out the car and proceed to take an old gym bag out of the trunk to collect my dog. His demeanor was unprofessional in my eyes. Here you have a grieving family and you come eating ice cream and candy to do a job as if that's acceptable. I have no problem with family time and celebrate people that involve themselves with their children but there is a time and a place and picking up my deceased dog is not it. I asked what the following steps were and was told I'd be called to either pick up up or he can be delivered at an additional fee. Fast forward to the time now to pick up my dog from the office. I was called the following Thursday to come pick him up, was given the office hours M-F 9-5 Weekends 9-12and was told to call before coming in case of an emergency. And I thought here we go with the emergency thing again. So I leave work early to get a ride to go pick up my dog. I got home at 3:30/3:45 & I call and the guy is like oh I'm leaving the office early. He apparently had to go in the city to do something. I was throughly confused because I got off the phone with him 45-60 minutes prior when he told me to come pick up my pet. I told him I could be there by 4:20-4:30 and he told me he was leaving at 4:00. Remember office hours are until 5... wait so he couldn't wait to run the errand until after 5 nor wait 20 minutes for my arrival but I paid close to $400 for this service. Ok! .... So I tell him I'll come Saturday morning and he says ok. Today is Saturday and I just got off the phone with All City Pets Cremation and was told that they will be closed today due to the holiday on Monday. So exactly when did they decide to close for the holiday? When I called to pick up my pet this morning?! They didn't know they'd be closed Thursday when I last spoke to them because the Monday holiday is a spontaneous and randomly occurring event and couldn't be planned for ahead of time?!?!?! This has been the absolute worst experience and I still do not have my Pet's remains. He assured me I can get him tomorrow & that he would open up especially for me but we'll see. I'm beyond disappointed. Is this a tactic to get more money from me to request his delivery?! If so that is extortion and very perverse. Revision: So since the initial review I was contacted by one of the owners and was apologized to in regards of the botched pickup on the Friday night of my dog's passing and since has let said delivery/ pickup person go from the company. The company then offered to deliver the cremated remains in exchange for the removal of this review. We have since made arrangements for the pickup of the cremated remains and he has assured me of continued customer service and assurance for the future. The cremains are now home. read more

After everything is settled, I think I need to write something to share my experience with people. I don't know the official name of this business, so I need to leave this feedback to every pet cemetery business listed under 102-09 101st Ave Ozone Park, NY 11416 Phone: 718-805-2204 My beloved dog got run over by a car and passed away Thursday morning(03/08). I was devastated and heartbroken. After kept his body with me for a day, I googled pet cemetery nearby and reached out to this place Thursday night (03/08). The owner first offered to drive over to my place to pick up his body for an extra $100. I asked if instead I can go to his place Friday night (03/09) around 9 pm. He said ok. I double triple confirmed with him about the date and time (Friday night, 9 pm) since I live in Long Island and it takes me approximately 30-40 minutes one way to drive over. He said no problem, he lives right next door to his business and basically opens 24/7. I left home around 8 pm Friday night and arrived at his place a quarter to 9. The place was closed, called him, he said he thought I was coming over on Saturday morning at 9 am! I politely told him that I live in Long Island, I double checked with him about Friday night, and even if there was a misunderstanding, since I was already standing right in front of his store, in sub-zero temperature, holding the body of my beloved dog, and he lives next door, would he be kind enough to just take him in. He said NO. He further said that for him to come downstairs and to take my dog, I need to pay him $100 extra. 03/09 at 9pm, it is cold outside and in order to keep my dog cool, it is same cold inside the car as well. I drove another 40 minutes home, with my dog my side, and sent him to another pet cemetery in Long Island next morning. It might be understandable that this place tries every method to make more money, but every business should have a bottom line! It is totally cruel and unacceptable to break a promise made and trying to rip people off in such circumstances. read more

I wouldn't want someone who just lost their pet and are still grieving to go through what I went through. Now JB, maybe Emanuel is not a real client but I sure am and did live a similar experience just recently . The service I requested was a private cremation for my beloved pet that I have spent the last 17 years with. Never again will I come here or recommend this place to anyone.You are asked to pay up front for the service. The moment I payed them, I was told it would take three to five business days and that they would call me so that I could pick up the urn. Never did they call me to let me know the status. I am a patient man but there's limits... on the 9th business day I decided to call their number and ask to speak to a supervisor and the gentleman at the other end of the phone thought he could fool me in believing that he had given the phone to a supervisor but that's not the point, when I asked him yet again if I could pick up, it felt as if we went back to phase 1 what's your pets name , what breed, when did you make a payment... at that point he told me that he wasnt at the office ( the call gets rerouted to their cellphones) so he could'nt verify, understanding how furious I was he did go back to the office to check and call me to let me know that he was in fact there and that they would call me so I can pick up. Never did they. So I decide to go on the 11th business day in person to pick up and the location was closed. Now mind you the only hours you will see posted on their website is 24 hours (supposedly for emergency , you can count on them) , but nowhere does it indicate their office hours. I came in 30 mins after they close apparently according to the gentleman over the phone he mentioned that they were closed for the day... I insisted by telling him that I was here now to pick up and it's been 11 business days, no one called. He made the right choice and came back to the location but with an attitude looking straight at me, exhaling, as he pulled in his Baja panty plated bmw 15 mins later. The whole process took 5 mins. Oh and the cherry on the cake is thay they misspelled my name. That's how you treat pets and customers ... So much for your slogan "Pets are family too " I don't treat family that way nor my clients. After calling another place and being frustrated with their customer service I decided to go with this company. The young man on the phone was polite and answered all of my questions. After waiting several hours (he came about 2 hours after he initially said he would come) he came in, I filled out some paperwork and they took my Joey away. Again very polite and respectful during the visit. I got a call a week later and went to pick up his ashes. They presented him in a beautiful wooden urn with a name plate, a paw print box where you can place a photo and a certificate of his cremation. It is pricey but I think it's worth the money because of the respect they showed and for everything what you get. I definitely recommend them! read more
