    Spooky
    Samantha S.

I feel compelled just 24 hours after my Spooky's peaceful passing to let everyone know that thanks to Dr. Fisse my 10 year old Great Dane got the best passing anyone can hope for. At a time when anything can happen and this final memory will last a lifetime along with the question "did I do the right thing" I can say that that Dr. Fisse and her assistant made this experience surpass every expectation I had. I was a mess already when they got here, (and write this through tears of grief still) and they came in quietly but with exactly the right not-scary demeanor that wouldn't make Spooky fearful of anything that was about to happen. When he laid down on the floor for what I knew was the last time yesterday, a Sunday morning, my husband scrambled to find anyone that would come, and despite coming a longer distance, she made good time and communicated many times throughout the few hours between reaching out and arriving. They gave me time, asked when I was ready. After sedation, they stepped back and continued to narrate what to expect while giving me complete space and never felt like they were intruding at all on a private moment, I forgot they were there and was just able to lay with my boy on the floor. When they administered the euthanasia we were comfortable and I talked to him throughout, and never at any point did they rush me from his body, and I know I laid there a long time with him. They looked for every cue from me as to when I was ready to initiate taking him, and were so kind and gentle with my 185lb baby. They even let me take their sharpie and write him a message on his bag, which I really needed to do, as well as take his favorite toy with him. They made his last hour here on earth peaceful, fearless, and everything he deserved. He was my best friend in the world, and I thank God we entrusted Dr. Fisse with his passing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for my baby's peaceful passing. Edited to add: They also gave us a beautiful framed paw impression immediately that was such a compassionate gesture, and I treasure it.

Thankyou for making the end of my cat Dolly's life a time of comfort, peace and serenity for her.

We were trying to find someone to come retrieve her for end of life services. I came across Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation Inc and spoke with Jim about their options on what to do with their beloved Skye. My mom selected the urn she wanted and the package for her paw print. She went today to pick up Skye's remains along with her paw print. To her surprise, they never made her paw print! My mom is completely beside herself. And I am feeling so guilty because I found these people. We have paw prints of all of dogs that have passed away. And now they don't have Skye's. The best part is, they asked her if she put her request in writing. Which she did, and she had proof of that. Not that anything could bring sweet Skye back, but offering a piece of jewelry for her ashes is less than accommodating. I would NEVER recommend this company. UPDATE: Before posting his reply Alan asked me to update or remove my review, but time got away from me. I do want to point out that his "version" is not necessarily the whole truth. As I stated before, when my mom arrived at their facility to retrieve Skye's remains...they neglected to do her paw print impression like she requested. Their immediate reaction was to offer her a piece of jewelry for her ashes. She denied that because she wanted to keep all her ashes together. They let her walk out all distraught. It wasn't until hours later when I called the facility that then they offered a refund.

I was recommended him my girl's old vet in Queens who didn't do visits in Manhattan and I cannot begin to say how lucky we are to have found him. I have been to so many vets over the years with my fur babies, some who look at you like a checkbook, to the point of telling me "maybe you should go elsewhere" when her nerves got the best of her (I'm looking at you Animal Medical Center) and others who put the needs of the animal above all else. He not only put my Leia's needs front and center but his care and compassion for the pet's companions, I can't say we're owners, was above and beyond. He gave my girl five more good years of life.
