RUN! Do NOT use Legacy for plumbing whatsoever! Had the worst plumbing experience of our lives with this company. We had no choice as this was who was contracted through our home warranty, but after multiple visits, the issue was still not fixed. They charged us $1,000 to camera & scope external plumbing lines for a clog in our kitchen sink that the technician was unable to fix after 2 trips to our house. A simple clog that another plumber came and fixed for $150 and found a piece of cloth/hair ball in our kitchen sink drain. Instead, Legacy told us we had major issues with all of our external plumbing foundation and gave us a $30,000 (you read that right!) quote to fix an issue that DID NOT EVEN EXIST! I've since talked to 3 other plumbers who said none of this made sense or was the case for the issue at hand (a small stoppage in our kitchen sink due to a clog in the line, that Legacy NEVER once looked at - but instead investigated a whole range of other plumbing systems). Lastly, they only accept Credit Cards and charge an insane fee to pay for an of their services ($1,000 of the $30k quote was for credit card fees). They may be reliable for HVAC services, but I would not recommend for plumbing. read more

We had an order placed to repair our water heater 6 weeks ago. We've been on the phone with them for weeks while being told again and again that they can't get the part and have no idea when it will arrive. Meanwhile, after 6 weeks of unsanitary conditions we called and asked for the part number . Within 5 minutes online we found 3 vendors who could deliver the part overnight. We communicated this and were ignored. Several times. We've cancelled surgerie due to this, endured unhealthy living conditions, and over a month of aggravation for a problem of a part they can't find, but we found in 5 minutes. I have an issue with my gas water heater. The gas control valve needs replaced. Legacy Service company was assigned by my warranty company and they did the original diagnostic and recommended replacement. They said they would be back in about 4 days to repair once parts were in. It is now 2.5 weeks later and I have been rescheduled going on 3 times. They still haven't come. They reschedule via text which you cannot reply to. They do not answer calls when calling to inquire about why. This is totally unacceptable. Terrible company to work with. I'm in the process of reassigning my claim and terrible disgusted by the lack of customer service or even basic communication by this company. Would not recommend at all. read more

This company was assigned to us by our home warranty company. The tech came out, looked at the problem, told us what we needed and left. They collected the service fee, and we never heard a peep out of them. I made numerous calls, left messages, no return calls, no answers. A replacement company was assigned, and after explaining what happened, he guessed Legacy without us even mentioning them by name. He has said he had taken 6 calls from people with the same story, which makes us think they are in the business of collecting service fees and little else. WOW just wow!!! We were days from opening our bakery and the A/C went out. Legacy Service Company came in to save the day. Not only did they show up after hours but the techs were so invested in us having air they arranged for portable units until our new system could be installed. Starting a new business is stressful enough without having to deal with this. I would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend this company to anyone who asks. read more

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. They were assigned to do plumbing through Choice Warranty for 2 separate toilets. I received a half dozen text messages from Legacy days prior to my service date to pay a $60.00 service fee, which I paid. I was provided a window of 1100am to 300pm to expect the plumber to arrive. The plumber (DeMarcus) called me prior to this window and left a voice message stating he could come 30 minutes earlier. I called him back after listening to the VM he left but it went straight to his voice mail. I believed he was driving and didn't want to drive and talk. Needless to say, he never showed up and never called again. After the 3pm came and went, I called Legacy directly. I was told by a lady that "they're running behind" and that "there was a water heater issue" they were taking care of. This lady also informed me she couldn't get a hold of the plumber, but sent him a message. Approximately 45 minutes later, I sent a text message to the same phone number belonging to DeMarcus. He responded via text, " I'm having phone issues but I'm using a backup phone and I can text." I immediately responded by asking if he was coming still to complete the job and that we've been here waiting all day. He didn't respond. Lack of communication, unprofessional and when I contacted Choice Warranty, it was relayed to me that they said they called me and I didn't answer..... Run....don't use them!!!! read more

Sbowed up on time , performed requestled and needed service in a professional and timely manner, left the job site spotless and taught me about the new garbage disposal they had to install and different features on it vs our old one. will use them again for any service needed! We just had a wonderful experience with Legacy and I wanted to give them recognition. They were the service that my home warranty scheduled for us to replace our water heater. Demarkus and Heber were the service professionals and they truly were professional in everything they did. They were courteous, explained the process and cleaned up completely after the job, making the utility area cleaner than it was before the job. The biggest reason why I want to recognize their good job is that they knew I was having problems with my heater and noticed that the piping was pitted and rusting on the inside. It hadn't been serviced in a while and Demarkus noticed that carbon monoxide was leaking as well as debris in the furnace that was a fire hazard. He immediately got a fair quote for me and both men started working on that after replacing the water heater. The furnace is now repaired, clean and working better than it has worked in years! My A/C unit motor broke down and I contacted my home warranty company (Choice) who contracted Legacy Service company. It was an emergency. They scheduled an appointment two days out. They never showed up while I was patiently waiting for them for the whole 4 hour window they gave me (and more). They never contacted me either (even though, I had received 3-4 reminders about the appointment from Legacy and my home warranty company upto the appointment window). I left them a voicemail and there was no return call, either. I contacted the home warranty folks again and they contracted these same people to give me another appointment 3 days out. Due to the nature of the emergency, I had to contact another HVAC company (directly, not through home warranty) and get my AC fixed, eating all the costs. This is the worst customer service I could have expected. Unfortunately, I can't give a zero star for their lack of service and professionalism. read more

I never leave reviews................My home warranty company picked them, they texted an appt date without even speaking with me, then didn't bother to show up, I called and no one answered, left a message and an email, they finally called back and said they had canceled and rescheduled, they had done this without notifying me, they finally came out and diagnosed my AC problem several days later, they ordered parts and said once the parts were in they would be able to repair it quickly, that was a lie, they called saying that parts came in and were ready to schedule our repair and they couldn't get to us for 10 more days, then they didn't show up again, this time I got a text message saying they rescheduled me a week out, I tried calling again no answer, emailed no response. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!...... I just called again and they said my appointment was rescheduled as the parts were not available. I called them out on that as they had told me the parts were in when they scheduled the appointment for today to begin with, she said she would call their supervisor and get back to me....my HW company called them later and was told they were coming out today. I called multiple times to find out what time, finally got someone to answer and they said the HW company never called and they would not be coming for a week, they did tell me the vendor had sold the part because they never purchased it from the vendor to begin with, and that they ordered one online 8/17/22 well it's been a week, I got a confirmation call this morning saying the tech would call when they were 30 min out. About an hour later I got another call saying they never got the part and would try calling local vendors and try to get ahold of the company that it was supposed to be shipped from a week ago to see if they can overnight it. Only reason rated a 1 is because I cannot rate negative. This company is a complete joke. My home warranty company picked them and they came out and misdiagnosed my AC problems and said I needed 2 new evap coils. They billed my warranty company $3k and charged me $1175 out of pocket and that was not even the problem with my AC. As soon as they completed the project, the AC still did not work and cool down. I was assigned Legacy Plumbing from my Home Warranty Company (Choice ) and before even the appt I was asked to pay the service fee required by my plan with Choice upfront from Legacy, which I did not. So he came out, hardly did anything to determine the fix. He needed to take pictures, but his phone wasn't charged so he used our charger. He also wanted the service fee at this time which I paid. I shouldn't have paid until the job was done because he never came back (Demarcus). I made several phone calls to the company and never received a call back. So a week later nothing has been fixed. I cancelled my payment and informed Choice the company I want to use. NEVER NEVER if you have Choice accept Legacy Plumbing to do any work for you. I wish I had read all the reviews BEFORE its service. Legacy was assigned to me by my home warranty company as my central AC is not working properly. The service man came and told me it is not repairable and will get a different unit. Being 100 degree outside in late July, and I have two seniors over 84 years old in the house, I specifically asked them to turn in the diagnosis report ASAP. It's been over A WEEK, my insurance company still has NOT received anything from them. Each time the agent calls Legacy, they say they are preparing the report at that moment but day after day they never receive the report....... will NEVER, EVER use Legacy in the future. They told me I owed them $2900 in additional services not covered by my home warranty but never sent me a list of what this covered. I finally got my home warranty company to send me the list and it did not add up to $2900. When I brought this up with the company, they agreed that it should be $500 less. However, a $2900 charge showed up on my debit card statement. The technician told me $2900 was actually correct but could not provide me with an itemized receipt and told me to contact the office. After over a dozen attempts over the past few months and many promises that my receipt would be sent to me, I still have not received an itemized receipt. read more

A plumber came out but waited on warranty to approve before work was done. They were able to assign a tech the next day and he looked at our system. He waited two days before reporting his findings to the warranty company. So just like all the other reviews on here my home warranty company partnered with Legacy. So the technician arrived to my house with only a screwdriver in hand. He went down to my basement and looked at the blower motor, pulled out the filter, said it needed to be changed and left. He said that he was going to put in a ticket to see about doing a repair, not sure of what as he didn't look at anything. A few days go by and nothing. When I messaged the Warranty company all of a sudden I get a reschedule date for the same technician. As i wait for my appointment date I get another email pushing the date out by a week. Mind you it is boiling hot here in Kansas City and I have a baby in the house. So that day comes and goes, no call, no show. I tried calling legacy, left them 3 messages at the office, and called and left a message with the technician, and you guessed it, no calls back. I would never recommend this company, they are a total sham, they collocated my service call fee and then pretty much just vanished. I cannot believe a warranty company would work with them, with all the emails going back and forth between me and them discussing this, Legacy must be costing them to have them on board. read more
