The farm: They have just recently moved and this new location has the most gorgeous barn interior I've even seen. Lofty, wood and timber, clean, organized, spacious, and open. The grounds were equally as stunning, especially in mid-october with the fall colors. We were early for our appointment and the groundskeeper generously gave us a tour of the grounds, introducing us to each horse and telling stories. The horses have so much room to run around and are paired with horses they get along with best and often ride together with, so they are all extremely friendly, and most are rescues. Our ride: Bridget was an amazing guide! She's one of those people who makes you feel in good hands from the start. She's extremely knowledgeable and experianced in riding and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. My boyfriend and I are advanced riders and chose Misfit Farm because of the reviews for more intense trail rides and were extremely satisfied. "It's not your average Club Med ride!" as Bridget announced. We trotted, cantered, and galloped among the trails. I rode Gershwin, an extremely sweet and even tempered horse, and had one of my most comfortable rides ever at all gaits. The horses we took on the trail all knew each other very well and were super comfortable riding close together. Bridget was a true horse mom and knew each horse's personality and behavior. The scenery was picturesque and the trail was the perfect length. I can't wait to visit again. I highly recommend Misfit Farm to trail riders and horse lovers, they have so much offer!

My sister and I both ride several times per week so we booked the trail ride. The horses are forward but confident and in good body condition with their feet well cared for. Some of the horses may jig-jog on the trail so if you are a very nervous or timid rider you may want to ask for a steady type of horse. We had a great time, an hour ride which was mostly walking but with some good canter/hand gallops up the hills. The scenery is stunning, beautiful woods and fields. We go up this time... no horses, new fence, one barn is missing and all I see are sheep. What the frig Ricky?! So I search for other farms and find Lucky C Stables. We randomly drive to this place and just ask out the window if we could feed some horses... to our surprise we were met with smiling faces and even given a tour of the barns!! I had gone horseback riding once over the summer, but I am definitely a newbie and Linda guided us on what to do (ex: lean back when going downhill and lean forward when going uphill). I love that we got to walk AND trot and cross streams. My horse Sarge was a former NYPD horse and he was very good and well behaved (although he was quick and ate some grass before I could stop him while on the trail). We enjoyed the rehearsal dinner on the porch of the building next to the large silo. It was right before sunset, so we got to enjoy the gorgeous view of the land, trees, and lake while the August sun went down. There was a lovely breeze and we enjoyed our meal under twinkling string lights. There were tons of beautiful flowers blooming around the grounds, and we enjoyed lawn games on the rolling green grass. The next day, for the ceremony, we were located down by the lake. The ceremony took place on a lawn in front of a beautiful old tree, facing the water. Afterwards, we made our way into the old barn and enjoyed cocktail hour and the reception. The space was well designed and the whole experience was magical; candles and simple draperies. A beautiful breeze flowed through the venue as the rumble of thunder echoed in the distance. Despite the thunderstorm that passed through, we were safe and dry inside the barn. All in all, one of the most beautiful and magical wedding venues I've seen.

But Stoneview is definitely the longest time my horses have been boarded. I hope it's like home for them by now. I love the people at Stoneview Farms. It's no drama, no bossing, no rudeness, and no stress. Stoneview Farms is a place where people come to enjoy their time with their horses. I really appreciate that. The schedule is very open but I always check for availability on special days. So far I can visit my horses anytime: 8 pm or 6 am. On holiday days or weekends. This is important since I live 35 miles away and I have a very busy schedule. The barn is kept extremely clean. The horse stalls are 14x14 large. Perfect for really big horses like mine. It has windows that are open in the summer. It never really gets too hot in this barn. I think it is because of the altitude of its location. There is always a nice breeze. The farm also has a large arena, a round pen, a jumping field and a track. The horses are not crowded in their paddocks which means there is plenty of green landscape for our equines to enjoy. The Taddeo family and their employees work tirelessly in improving the previously neglected farm. Every month there is something new, something improved and it makes everyone happy. Its already a gorgeous farm that suits our pocket sizes. Some boarders are serious horse people. They will ride under any weather, and their horses are worked almost daily in their skills. That is always inspiring to me. Some horses there are retired but they look very happy and cared for by their owners. Some horses belong to Eric Taddeo and these are race horses that are worked out almost daily. I really enjoy seeing all this activity. But nobody is preaching and its a very relaxed atmosphere without die hard rules. I do recommend this farm. It's a pity they don't have an indoor or a warm space to hang out in the winter with my children. But I'm certain that eventually it will happen... I love their new instructor Laura Juhlin and she has brought in so much business by teaching horse ridding to children and adults. She is also very easy going and knowledgeable of her horses. Stoneview Farms is the best Warwick secret. They are affordable, kind, home like facility for all sorts of horses and their owners. Thank you guys!
