I went here to get a tattoo on my back and had to walk out because the artist was so rude. He began the session by briefing me on how he likes to be really direct and he "speaks like a dick". I thought this meant he would mess around, poke fun, and be straight up with me. (After all- it's a tattoo shop and the atmosphere is usually laid back). But there is 100% a line, and I ended up leaving completely pissed off and disrespected. I understand that each artist has their own way of business and dealing with customers, but at the end of the day I want to feel excited about my new tattoo and the process shouldn't be completely miserable. If you are paying for a service, you should at least feel comfortable telling your artist what you're envisioning for your tattoo without feeling like the stupidest person alive. Everyone was super nice and the tattoo isn't awful but it's not what I wanted. The reference photo was more what I was aiming for and to me the artist dropped the ball on it. The lines don't connect the way they should, the snake looks flat and more like a worm towards the tail, and I don't even want to talk about how terrible the head of the snake looks. Tattoo felt rushed and I know for sure the artist who did me was very talented but did not do her best on this. The flowers were done by another tattoo artist in Dallas and I feel like the snake almost ruins his work. I want to start off by saying my experience at Legacy Tattoo was very professional. As soon as I walked in everyone was very friendly and the shop itself was very clean and had a welcoming feel to it. I got my tattoo done by Kara. I found her via social media because I was trying to find a great anime tattoo artist in Texas who were reasonable on pricing and did quality work. She did not disappoint. Upon meeting, we reviewed the tattoo to make sure it was up to my standards of what I wanted and honestly she did above and beyond my expectations. Kara and the staff there offered snacks & water prior to and during the tattoo process at no expense of my own. She was extremely clean and thorough during the tattoo process, checking on me to make sure I was okay while she was doing work and even put on a cool playlist while she worked. Both piercers, Essie and Vick, are amazing. I have had great experiences with Essie, and when I came in and Essie was not there I was taken care of by Vick! I came here for my first ever piercings and it will never be the last time. I trust these two women and they know exactly what they are doing. Not only do they make you feel comfortable, they are fairly quick with their piercings while still being able to do it correctly. I've never had a single issue that were the piercers fault in my piercings. In all honesty, it really depends on the person who has the piercing. A lot of you people here are complaining about the piercings but are the same people who don't care for them correctly. I can personally agree with this because with one of my nostril piercings I kept touching it and messing with it while it was still healing and it caused an irrational bump that eventually went away after about a week or two. This is a great place for piercings but that's about it! I've gotten 5 out of my 8 piercings here and i recommend anyone & everyone to get them done here. Very professional and clean, but do not I repeat do not let the apprentice work on you. I do not recommend getting a tattoo here unless it's small and simple, (VERY SIMPLE), I came here to get a tattoo done, just some mountains with the verse "Matthew 17:20" - that's exactly how I spelled it and wrote it out for him and told him! He didn't give me a chance to see if was a gOod placement on my arm or if everything was right, just started and ending up spelling my tattoo wrong ! I now need a whole new cover up piece. I even went back to see if they couLd fix it and they straight up said no. This isn't the first tattoo that they've messed up. Def don't recommend. read more

Well I had to be rescued by Vick LOL because after getting this beautiful piercing by Essie I was changing clothes and snagged my shirt on my piercing ripping it out of my nose..... it hurt so badly, I was so angry at myself. Also Essie had just done this awesome piercing the day before..... it had just been a little over 24 hours.... so my sore nose was nice and fresh (the piercing hurt less than me ripping the nose ring out )! But thankfully Vick did an amazing job and I am so grateful she helped my immediately and was gentle and laughed with me and I am the only one that thought I looked like an idiot walking in there because I couldn't get the piercing back in my nose.... it's hard when it hurts, easier to have someone else just get it done for you then to try and do it yourself! I recommend finding a different tattoo shop. I came in wanting a simple bible verse on my chest. No shading or anything extra, just the verse. The tattoo only took about 30 minutes. They refused to give me an estimation before getting the tattoo, despite knowing exactly what I was getting and where I was getting it. After it was finished, they ended up charging me $300. I could've gotten this exact tattoo in Houston for half the price. The tattoo looks good, but I couldn't help feeling scammed as I walked out. read more

Essie is fab and very beautiful! She is so professional and so knowledgeable! If you need advice, then she is the one to come to. We walked in without appointments and she was able to accommodate all of us. She pierced 4 people's sets of ears in a very short amount of time. One of my previous earlobe piercings was no longer patent, and it was asymmetric. She measured it and said it was 1 mm off. She corrected my piercing and I am thrilled. I got an additional set of earlobe piercings. Each one hurt a little for less than 1 second each. She is quick! The shop itself is very clean and comfortable. The piercing room is separate, so if you want privacy, you can have it. Listen to her regarding aftercare so that you heal properly! I will be back when i get my helix pierced. read more

Essie( not sure if that's how you spell her name) is absolutely amazing!!! I got my nose pierced by her over a year ago (definitely should've written a review then but I'm the worst) and recently I wanted to change to a hoop from a stud. I put in the hoop myself and my body unfortunately didn't react very well to the hoop and I developed a bump that looked much worse than what it actually was. I called the store and they had me come in and within MINUTES Essie was explaining to me why the bump had occurred and how to treat it. She offered so many great solutions and my bump already looks much better compared to this afternoon after trying her recommendations. I never once questioned about the sanitation of the area or the experience of my piercer. I've driven pass this shop a few times but finally stopped in the other day after checking them out on Yelp. Sadly there was only one review but it was only praise so I figured why not , turns out I made a good choice . When you first walk in you'll notice the decor is unlike most places , there is a small amount of wall tats but not much which I appreciate. I hate the thought of so many people walking around with the very same tattoo. Anyway , the lady at the desk has some wicked piercing and art work of her on ( always a plus) and helped calm the little nerves I had . Unfortunately I couldn't get the piercing I wanted because the shape of my ear would have caused it to rub but I did get a double ear piercing, she even let me hold her adorable spider while she worked . I recently went to get my nose piercing at Legacy, it was mg first piercing but I did not have a very good experience. The place is very clean and seems like a good place for tattoos and piercings but the staff is a bit unfriendly. The lady that did my piercing was kind of rude and when she gave me the instructions of how to take care of my piercing she mumbled everything and didn't seem to care if I caught what she was saying or not. I will give her credit for how efficient she was, she did my piercing in less than a minute but she needs to work on her attitude. read more
