I've been a long time customer of Legend Air and I recommend them to everyone I know when they have a heating or air conditioning need. In my opinion they are the best out there at what they do. They are honest and integrity driven. I trust them so much that if I cannot be home for a service I would happily give them a garage door code and key to get in. EDIT: Luis call me after I posted this review and was very nice. In fact what he wanted me to know was they want to replace the Evaporator coil not the compressor. Estimated cost of repairs $7,000. That is right, not concerned about the fact that if completed this repair I would have paid Legend Air over $30,000 in just 7 years of owning a new system. Not a typo $30,000+. And he admitted when they sold me they installed an untested system that is basically garbage. Run away from these people. They sell crap and then keep charging you over and over. I was very impressed with Legend when they installed my new systems 7 years ago. They seemed to be reputable and reliable. About two months after installation, I went in the attic and found they destroyed the steps up to the unit (two steps). I left a message and never heard back. Not a big deal and I let it go (but I curse them every time I have to change filters). Last year just before the system was 6 years old this "excellent" Lennox system had to have an Evaporator Coil replaced. Cost for labor alone over $4K. And they told me I needed a Compressor Saver. I installed that also (by why was that not needed when I installed the system). Now this year they came out and what do I need - A COMPRESSOR. I have come to the conclusion they installed garbage equipment, with poor installation and sold unneeded or items that actually caused problems. To top everything off the put a sign in my yard that said I loved my A/C man. They didn't ask, just put it in my yard. I don't love them and would not recommend them. FYI - I change my filters on a regular recommended schedule, perform all maintenance and do not abuse the system. So, after 7 years I am basically replacing the entire system. I am not sure if I was a sucker to start with or they have changed, but I would STAY AWAY FROM LEGEND AIR. read more

Zero stars would be nice. I wish I could give ZERO STARS! Would never use them again. Unfortunately you are asked to rate prior to any work being done. Jason seems helpful and knowledgable. However when the workers came they were unprepared and had no idea ALL the work that needed to be done. When I inquired before they left that all the things were done, they were confused. This led to yet another visit where they had to shut down my unit to replace the motor attached to the fan they turned off prior to clean it. Doing the work twice. Heating up my home twice. Twice I had to be home I stead of once. Mind you these things are elective maintenance by me. But very disrespectful of my time and no one from the office ever called me to let me know anything. I'm also a whatever customer with 2 Check-ups per year. Spring and fall. I was never contacted to set up appointments. Leading to this last weekend my u it went down. Called 3 times to get ANY HELP. I was never called back on any attempt to reach them. Finally got hold and set an appointment for Monday. Started calling on Saturday! Tech shows up and discovers the issue. I overflow trip cut off my unit and my coil needs to be leveled. $700 to do this job so I said I would get a second opinion. Mostly due to the LACK of 100% customer satisfaction. The tech showed me how to reset that trigger if it happened again. I told him I'd reach out if I decided to use his company. He also told me that my normal drain line was clear as it had been serviced back in october. I came home on Tuesday to find my ceiling drenched! I turned off my unit and ran up into the attic with towels to try to clean up and see what was happening! I wish I could post the photos. So my normal drain line was NOT DRAINING AT ALL. I immediately called to request help and the emergency tech didn't answer his phone. I finally got ahold of someone and was put on the first opening for today. Wednesday 6/03. It is now 12:30 and I had to call AGAIN as no one has reached out to check on anything. OH. And after all the phone called I made to get help as a whatever customer of theirs. I did get a call and the woman informed me that they had been out the day before and that I REFUSED service! No. Wrong! I only asked to get a second quote! These people have no clue about customer service! My father was in the HVAC buiz for 50 years and always treated his customers like family! These people are a joke. All I need done is for them to blow out my line so it will drain cuz they apparently did this back in October. I will then Contact someone else to continue my ac work. read more

I recently had a new HVAC system installed (American Standard 3-ton, 14.2 SEER gas upflow). The installation itself went well and the system is working properly so far although, the new system is louder and has a whistle sound. The installers were great and so very kind, I have no issue with them. However, my experience with the sales process was frustrating. During the initial discussion, insulation was presented as part of the overall package along with duct cleaning, which influenced my decision to move forward at a higher price point ($13,700). After installation, I was told insulation was not included because it wasn't written into the contract, which honestly was presented on a phone. My fault for not firmly requesting everything in writing. Also, the final invoice that I received after iInstallation, included items I did not need or received. I understand the importance of having everything in writing, but I do feel the communication during the sales process was unclear and a bit misleading. When I raised this concern, it was dismissed as an "emotional conversation," which I found unprofessional and demeaning as a woman. I'm sharing this so others know to get every detail clearly documented before signing. I'm still hoping the company will work with me to resolve this fairly, as I do believe customer satisfaction should matter at this price level. read more

My AC stopped working right when I needed it, and my home warranty sent out a company that was clearly only there to sell me a new, overpriced system. I found Legend Air, and they were able to get someone out same day! Not to mention they sent out Luis, who was excellent and extremely honest about what the problem was and how it could be addressed. When we moved to Frisco back in August I found Legend Air on Yelp, tried them and loved them. They installed a Nest thermostat, replaced the drip pan, installed a UV light in the attic to keep from getting mold, unclogged the drain pipe. I purchased they monthly maintenance plan for $15 per month. But then the honeymoon ended in February. In February I called them out for a strange noise. After checking it out they found the problem and told me they will get the part needed and we needed to repair as soon as possible to avoid further damage. Welllllll, I waited and waited then 2 weeks in I started calling everyday, then twice a day, still nothing. The receptionist told me the exact same thing on every phone call, like she was reading from a script. She told me "someone will get back to me shortly". They never did. I also made appointments on line on their website. No show,! Guess what? Now the heat and air has completely stopped working. So obliviously there is now further damage because they have not followed through with their service and job. I'm very upset and angry with they're horrible service from mid February until now. I have yet to be able to speak to anyone other than the receptionist who has not help me one little bit. At this point I'm trying to stop the monthly fees to them that are being deducted from my account, as well as also speak to the owner. This is pitiful. read more

Quality of work was good. However I feel I was ripped off by these people. My evaporator coil developed a leak after 31 months, being installed on 8/24/2021 ( today's date 6/20/2024). The company doing that repair was selected through my Home warranty company, as was Legend Air. At that time my out of pocket was $1,600.00 for the code upgrade that included replacing the condensate catch pan and a float switch. I was Ok with that because to old unit was about 15 years old. Well when the Legend guy came out they said the 31 month old coil was out dated and had to be brought up to code. My out of pocket cost was $1,055.00. After explaining I don't understand how a less than 3 year system was outdated. His reply was my old coil was 13 seer and the new one was 14 seer. After some research I discovered the seer size only applied to the outside condenser and the furnace and did not pertain to the coil at all. After a discussion he did agree to knock $255.00 off and did the job for $800.00. By the way they only replaced the evaporator coil and the small plastic pan that came with it, and nothing else. I would be ok if they said I was covering the labor cost and the warranty covered the part (coil). But don't tell me you're charging me for something you didn't do. For this reason I am not a satisfied customer. read more

Jason came out today to look at my AC because the company with my home warranty cannot be here until Friday. So going a week without air when it is so hot is a long time. He was awesome! He checked the pressure and identified I have a leak. He was also honest in telling me that it would be less costly than through my home warranty company. He even offered to come out if the warranty company gave me a hard time about the leak. When he was done, I asked him how much I owed him for the service call and he didn't charge me a thing! Was kind enough to loan us two brand new window air conditioners to help us stay cool until the replacement was complete. This is the best HVAC that I have dealt with in Texas. I have been assigned several horrible and dishonest companies through First American Home Warranty, but fortunately Legend Air was dispatched to our claim yesterday. I put in a claim for for my heating unit which was not heating about 3 weeks ago. It was assigned to EMS Home Services and they have done nothing in 3 weeks and they never provided a report to First American. I called EMS Wednesday and asked them to send the report, that it shouldn't take 3 weeks. They told me they were on the phone with First American and would send the report, but instead I found out yesterday that they had cancelled the claim. Liars! I finally got First American to assign the claim to a different company yesterday and thank God they assigned it to Legend Air. These guys contacted me while I was on the phone with First American and scheduled the appointment right away for today. Francisco came out and replaced my igniter in 30 minutes. He did in 30 minutes what EMS refused to do over 3 weeks. I have instructed First American to dispatch Legend Air for all my future HVAC claims, this is the only company I will use moving forward. Called Jason the owner and he came out really fast, troubleshoot and showed me he can't start the compressor even he bypass the capacitor (tested with new one according to him). SO he recommended to replace the compressor + capacitor which will cost $2500. LUCKILY I did my home work and found this video, which is exactly what happen to my AC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19A9lvQ6lIA&t=710s I called another guy and tell them to replace JUST the run capacitor and it works right of the bet and it's been couple days working 100%. The part should cost around $20 on amazon, but the guy charged me $260 total, which is still way cheaper than changing the compressor. Not sure why Jason can miss it, but do your homework, google it and get second opinion if you think it costs to much. read more

If you are able to book him in take the time to talk with him, you wont be disappointed. Its not that he did the repair for less, it was that whatever the cost ended up being I never doubted that he was actually doing his very best in my interest. No reserve, no motive. We had a problem with our AC and suspected a leak back in March. We called John Maple - US Marine HVAC which was highly recommended at Nextdoor app but he didn't deliver. Same problem came up again this month but I have a feeling it's been going on and was never really fixed as our electricity usage continued to spike and our home not getting cold enough. We called that same AC repair guy again but because I have a lot of questions and I don't understand why the issue was not fixed the first time he came he started giving an attitude and being all defensive. Also found out that our indoor unit only have 3 months left before 5yr warranty ends. So I started asking around at work if they know anyone that is a reliable AC repair company and will guarantee their work. This is when I came across Jason from Legend Air. My manager at work recommended this company as the HOA where she lives highly recommended them. I called Jason and told him what the issue was with our AC. He came that same night, took the coil out and came back the following evening to install the new one. He actually hated that he couldn't get the new coil for our AC the same day from manufacturer as it costs too much without him giving them the old one first. But he came back tonight and installed everything. Even cleaned the rusted pan and sprayed sealant on it. Jason and his assistant checked everything to make sure that our AC is back to life and start cooling our home again. He will come back again in a week to check and make sure that everything is running fine. We'll have him check and do maintenance on our other AC as well to make sure that everything that needs to be taken cared off is done before warranty lapses. Legend Air may cost a lil more than the other AC guy we worked with before but he is more trustworthy and guarantees their work, answered every question I have without any attitude. Excellent service! We really appreciate Legend Air. Of course our AC broke on the evening of a holiday weekend and in the middle of summer. We also have an infant and a toddler so being without AC really isn't an option. But within 3 hours of our AC breaking - Legend was already at our house, fixed the problem and the house was cool again! I can't thank Legend Air enough! I'm sure these guys have family and friends that they would rather spend time with on the this 4th of July weekend, but they quickly came to our house and fixed our problem and for a very reasonable cost. Jason installed a new heat pump in my home. After several attempts he finally got my air conditioning to work and there is another problem now I can't get the heat to work. He will not stand behind his work. I have tried 10 or 15 times to call him and his phone does not work. I have had other people try to call his number and it doesn't work. I spent $5,000 on a new unit and he put the wiring in wrong. Now I have to find someone that will be able to make his mess work. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. read more
