TLDR: Highly recommend. Entire process and experience was fantastic. Alfredo was A++++. We had a 9 year old HVAC that was dying in 2023 and called out numerous companies to quote and diagnose for possible repair. We had to deal with a lot of salesmen-y type of people that didn't feel honest. Quoting huge numbers and telling us our AC was definitely going to die any moment. Telling us we had to buy these huge expensive replacements. We knew it was going bad, but the experience we had with the greasy salesmen techs made us decide to wait for it to fail before trying again to find someone good. It finally failed May 2026. I did my research again and found this company. The reviews were great but I was still really nervous because of our last experience. Called them out, fully expecting to go through the process of calling multiple people before finding someone. However, Alfredo was immediately different from the others. He is such a kind and personable person. What a great first impression. If you are able to ask by name, I suggest ask for Alfredo. He arrived exactly on time, too. He didn't feel like a salesperson at all. He felt honest and genuine. He gave us all of our options. From repair to full and complete replacement and everything in between. He discussed with us the pros and cons of each option. It never felt like he was pushing us one way or the other. It felt like he just wanted us to have a working AC that worked for us, period. He also spoke equally to both my husband and I. Many technicians tend to only speak to my husband which is annoying since I take care of most of the home management. Previously we were told we had to do this super expensive option to keep our upstairs cool but Alfredo told us we likely didn't need it, and if we did, we could have it added later. I knew right away we didn't need to have anyone else come out. We chose them and they were able to install our new system same day. We left the house, and they were very respectful of our house while they were here alone. They cleaned up after themselves and locked the doors behind them. He said they would likely be done around 2am and they finished at exactly 1:59am! We had a Lego display on the wall that I'm guessing got bumped (I forgot to remove it before they arrived so that was my bad). Some pieces fell off and broke apart and they put them all on the table. I've knocked that thing off myself and finding those scattered pieces is annoying. No missing pieces at all. I was impressed by this small thing. Just another example of the care and thoughtfulness of the crew. The AC is incredible. I'm very happy so far with our choice in system and in who we picked to install it. My 31-year-old a/c burned up 3 weeks ago. I called Prime. The technician came out within 30 minutes and looked at the outside unit. The wiring was burnt and kept tripping the circuit breakers. It had been patched many times over the years. He quoted a price to replace the entire system including which was very competitive. The technicians came out 4 hours later and worked until 3:30 a.m. to get it all installed and also make adjustments to other system which is only 3 years old. Fantastic operations. The guys were super nice and well trained. I just felt bad for them to have to work so late to keep us cool. Great job Prime!!!! read more

I was looking for a reputable and trustworthy company to give me a quote for a new evap coil. I had several quotes from companies that I knew were padding the quote and I felt like I was being taken advantage of. Communication with Prime AC and Heat was awesome. Quick, prompt, professional. I was able to get a same day appointment and the technician that came out was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and I didn't feel like he was taking advantage. He even wore little boot covers when he came in the house and looked at a different issue for me that popped up while he was here. Our AC went out on a summer day. Our usual AC repair office was booked until the next day. We reached out to Prime and they sent Morgan out to help that evening. There was an issue with the wiring and it was a process of trial and elimination to solve the issue. Morgan came out the first night and was able to get the unit up and running with a trial fix. Dean came the next evening for some re-wiring and a more permanent solution. There was a complication but he stayed later to get the AC up and running again. The pricing was very reasonable. They're able to address all my questions and provided photo based feedback around improvement areas. Prime AC has amazing people and the best equipment. Morgan our estimator was through and very detailed. This detail made comparison shopping against other equipment a breeze. I took bids on thirteen units (low price, medium efficiency & high efficiency) from four different companies over two days. It was a beating doing this but all the companies were well rated across several platforms. Prime's pricing was not the cheapest but was actually the best value for a 4 Ton 17.1 SEER2 Multi-speed system. The biggest issue for us was that our home had a blocked air return from the day it was built?! We always suspected it but they confirmed it with a picture from inside the return. In addition we added a new return from the far side of the house as the temperature had always be very unbalanced. Even though the season was getting busy we were able to pick a convenient time for the system switch out. The crew arrived promptly at 8am and worked through until about 10pm. With redoing and replacing ductwork taking 70% of the day. It was a lot of ductwork! After a few days did have a subtle sound issue they fixed immediately when I contacted them. The new cover was vibrating at certain speeds. Took only a few moments for them to tweak it. It has been two weeks since install and the system is virtually silent. We are looking at basically 1/3 the energy usage from our old worn out 13 SEER system. It had been tuned up and maintained well it just could be but could no longer handle the Texas heat. I requested contractors through Angi.com and selected Prime AC and Heat to send a person to provide an estimate. I live in the DFW area. They sent Morgan Johnston to make an estimate. He arrived, we discussed the task, and Morgan stated, "I will email you with an estimate today." This was Saturday. By Monday, I was complete with the bid collecting and wanted to start selecting a contractor from the three estimators who visited. So I called Prime and told Patsy G. that Morgan had not sent in a bid and was going to close bids by 4PM on Monday. The reply I got from Morgan was insulting and unclear if Prime was going to do the job. I had requested if Prime was to NO BID the just say NO BID. Instead, I got insulted about Morgan's opinion of the quality of the cooling system installed. He did not even offer a solution. read more

I have the benefit of recently (about 5 months ago) replacing a unit on my own terms, and having a rough experience with that contractor. Then my second, larger system failed and I was replacing that system on mother natures terms (in a huge heatwave). I had troubleshooting and quotes from two companies before Prime AC and Heat came out. The service technician was incredibly knowledgeable and confirmed previous diagnosis without knowing it. Within a couple hours I had two more outstanding folks from Prime out at my house reviewing my existing system and preparing a plan for replacement. The old system was 25+ years old and I was not willing to keep using band aids. They didn't just replace the outdoor unit and indoor handler like the last company, putting a better unit into an old duct design. They looked at the decades of hvac ducting installed on even older ducting, and inappropriate supply and return locations (in some cases) and formulated a plan for full replacement. They spent hours designing it, and it was truly impressive to see. They got the system installed a couple days later (to work around some roofing work going on) and had a team of folks rip out an unbelievable volume of old equipment ducting, etc. They installed everything and had us cool and comfortable by 9pm that evening. That same day? The small unit that was working stopped. It was overheated. They troubleshot it even though they didn't install it, and helped cool it down (it was as easy as some time with a garden hose). No charge for that, or the initial service visit. Now that's not even the best part. A few days later, the painters working on my house got paint all over the new outdoor units coils and fins. They contacted the distributor, manufacturer, and essentially we learned it can't be cleaned and can't guarantee a warranty claim approval. I was arguing with the general contractor over the painters about accepting responsibility but I want to share how incredibly customer-centric prime is. They showed up to talk to me and the general contractors project manager and they had a NEW UNIT IN THEIR TRAILER. JUST... IN... CASE. I decided not to wait for the general contractor to accept responsibility and authorized the work later. They came out first thing on a Saturday morning. I really cannot say enough good things about this company. I wish I'd found them when my first HVAC system failed. read more

A/C quit working on a Sunday. Called my regular repair company and waited awhile for them to call back (they finally did 28 hours later). Called Prime AC and Alfredo arrived in about 2 hours (on the Sunday). They found the problem to be a bad blower motor. It was still under warranty, but Lennox only pays for the parts, not the labor. The repair would still have cost me around $1000. Since the AC I had was 10 years old and had already had the compressor, the evaporator coil, and now the blower motor go bad, a new AC unit was considered. Since it was Sunday, there was no way my AC could be fixed. Prime AC provided me a window unit to help keep the house cool until they could install a new central air system. Monday morning, they arrived to install the new unit (AC and Heater). They had completed it my late afternoon. I am no HVAC expert, but you could tell the quality of the installation versus the Lennox unit that was installed by another company 10 years ago. Tuesday morning, Alfredo called and asked how I like the new unit and if everything was working properly. Great customer service!! read more

Long story short - Prime AC and Heat was reliable, affordable, knowledgeable, and did an amazing job on our new HVAC installation. I especially appreciated their constant communication about who would be showing up at our house and when. Long story long, our inside HVAC unit was crooked and leaking into the floor in the surrounding rooms. We did not want to fix the floor without finding the source of the issue. Morgan came by the same day I called, assessed the problem (without charge since this was a weird situation) and let us know we would need to get a new HVAC unit inside to fix the issue. We opted to replace the outside unit as well because it was installed in 2010. My husband and I really also liked the warranty and service guarantees that came with the new units.They were able to help us get financed and schedule the installation for first thing the next morning. Next day, the crew came by and started work, Morgan came back to check in and make sure they knew exactly what to do, and even the owner of the business stopped by later in the afternoon to check in on the progress. They installed both units and a new thermostat in about 8 hours, and by that evening we were all set and had peace of mind that our HVAC would no longer leak into our floor! My house was hit with lightning which fried the zone board to my AC. I called one company that I won't name that wanted to charge $130 visit fee and wanted that paid up front, and they couldn't come for three days. I called Prime and they said their service fee was only $69, and they could get out that day, so I said yes. They have a system that sends you a text to notify of the time they will be there and it updated me when there was a delay, so I was always in the know when they would be here. The guy (believe his name was Benjamin) apologized for the 30-minute delay which wasn't a big deal because like I said they updated when other companies just leave you waiting with no update. He was extremely thorough and found it was the motherboard. It was after 5 and the place that had the board was closed, but he said he had an inside connection and was able to get the board. He fixed it quickly, and I felt the price was reasonable. Benjamin was very nice and professional. I really like this company. read more

I can't say enough good things about these guys! They provided same-day service (at end of June!) when the largest AC Service provider (you would recognize their name) could not schedule an appointment less than 10 days out. On top of that, Prime AC ended up replacing a 2.5 year old system which the "largest AC Service provider" installed previously which had a 1-year labor warranty. Watch out for those 1-year labor warranties, because it means the provider has no confidence in what they are installing! Prime AC recommended a solution to address the specific needs of my problem with a ten-year warranty, parts AND LABOR! They were very thorough with the install and the system works great. I would recommend this company to anyone experiencing AC issues. They are honest, hard-working, and reasonable...nice to see that still exists in some AC companies. read more
