I just purchased a GM Truck with less than 40k miles from the owner of San Diego Trucks & Vans and within the first two weeks the Transmission failed. When we contacted the owner he told us to get a quote which we did and it came in at $4k. The owner then offered to do the job for half and install a used transmission. I understand buying "as is" but this is my second truck from these guys and at this point I am disgusted.

The service department is horrible. We have brought several of our trucks in for service and the…read more"estimate" was one price but then the repair was 20-30% more. The one that really gets us is when we make an appointment, drop the truck off and they don't like at it for 2-3 days after being dropped off. Then what's the reason for an appointment? I have worked at several dealers, if we ran our service department like Rush does the factory would have came in and revamped the service department or they would have closed us down. If you go in for sure, when you walk in the service advisors office see if they are nice and inviting or do you get the feeling like you're bothering them and why are you inconveniencing them? If we had any other choice we would. But can't.
