Absolutely unplayable. Greens are in TERRIBLE condition. Literally you cannot putt on just grass. There are burnt spots and chemical spots everywhere. Your ball is 110% guaranteed to have to go over them. On some greens there are spots of zero grass and "ground under repair" areas. Fairways are also in very rough shape. For how much they charge you should be getting an incredible experience but unfortunately it's beyond disappointing. $65 for 18 and a cart to play at a cow pasture is ridiculous. Please save yourself time, frustration, and money. You can go to so many other courses around the area that are beautiful and less money. It is in horrible shape I can't say it enough. For $25 it'd be a stretch. But hey at least they have electric carts and flowers by the clubhouse! read more

This golf course is in terrible condition. 130 bucks for two people. Fairways don't have any grass. Greens are burnt out grass and clearly not rolled flat. This used to be a private golf club and now I know why it's not. Would not recommend wasting your time or money at this place. read more

Frozen FIsh Fry Imagine chewing on a moccasin. Well, now you've experienced a legend's lake fish fry. It's legendary. But not for good reasons. The pieces of fish were the tail ends - clearly frozen as they were brown inside and pulled away from the breading. The breading was tasteless, overcooked - reminiscent of shoe leather. So sad that they went the frozen and overcooked route. Gotta go brush my teeth! read more

I had my wedding at Legend Lake this past weekend. I cannot sing the praises of this venue enough. Sandy was an absolute pleasure to work with. She made sure that I spent the day of my wedding enjoying myself instead of worrying about the details. She was easy to work with and made sure everything went as planned. The food was even better than we remembered on the night of our tasting. We wanted something different, not your typical wedding food, and that is exactly what we got. Plenty of flavor to make an impression on all of our guests! The space was perfect for my 115 guests. The rustic feel of the venue gives all of the barn weddings a run for their money! I highly recommend this venue to any bride looking for something a little different, with plenty of character, and a relaxing atmosphere. Our wedding on 10/10/15 @ Legend Lakes was amazing! Sandy took care of everything, was very professional throughout all of the event planning and did as much as possible to make sure our night was perfect. Ourselves and our guests loved everything from the layout to the food, drinks and overall service. I would recommend Legend Lakes for any event you're planning. Our special event was a disaster! The owner is incompetent! He reassured us multiple times he understood exactly what we were asking for but the night of the event it was clear he did not take note of our requests. Despite going over the menu with him at least 4 times and providing him with a written description of the entrees, the dishes that were served were NOTHING like what we had contracted for. Worse than that, the quality of the food on the plate was embarrassing (FROZEN FOOD). I don't know how the owner (who was over-seeing the event that night) could have put out those plates in good conscious. They looked cheap and unappetizing! The majority of our guests left hungry and probably also left thinking that we (the hosts) we cheap. Also, the owner never apologized to us and in fact told us they "did the best they could." If that is the best they can do they should not be in business. read more
