Just had the most bizarre, frankly scary interaction with this company. I made some online reservations, but didn't get a receipt. So I politely emailed asking for a receipt, and the response was immediately and unnecessarily aggressive, that it was my fault I didn't set the right filter on my spam folder. I thought potentially I was misreading the tone of the email, so I emailed back asking again for the receipts. They responded with even harsher words. Then they literally called me up to yell at me, and accused me of being rude. After I hung up, they emailed me again to criticize me. This is a man I have never spoken to before, who had absolutely no reason to be upset with me. I have rarely dealt with anyone this aggressive in my life. It was genuinely insane and borderline psychotic. I would be very careful with this company, the man has intense rage. Seriously, it was bizarre and frankly, scary. I have the emails to back it up. We LOVE Legendary Private Car! We began using their services in 2019 when we needed a car that would fit all our luggage. We chose Legendary Private Car over other car services because their prices are fair and they receive great reviews. The reviews are correct! The communication is fantastic. We like the email confirmation that we receive typically two days before the pick-up, because sometimes we make the reservation months in advance and it is a relief to know they are on top of things. Then we receive a text to let us know the driver is on the way and another text when they arrive. They are always on time! This company is 100% reliable. The customer service is outstanding. The drivers are friendly, professional, and they drive responsibility. (I have driving anxiety but I feel completely safe while riding in their cars.) I tried this car service 3 times in Chicago. I have high standards because I take 4-6 car services a week for work. I was not impressed. All three cars smelled strongly of air freshener. The second driver was late for my pickup. And the third driver smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. There are so many car services in Chicago, I am sure that others have higher standards. read more

I had to switch my payment method after my booking and Leszek accommodated it without requiring me to cancel. We booked car service online for airport transportation & decided to cancel the service after a couple rude email responses from the owner. The owner continued to send unprofessional & disgusting emails even after I politely tried to end the conversation. Legendary Private Car sounds so rich, but the price is the most competitive I came across when researching airport car service! I ordered car service vs. Lyft or Uber because I had my dog with me, and understandably, not every Lyft/Uber driver will accept dogs in their cars. Rather than dealing with the gamble of if I'd end up with a dog-friendly driver or not (and then having to request another driver), I opted for car service. Love that Legendary's website is completely transparent and convenient, allowing me to book directly online when I'm ready, vs. submitting a form for a custom quote (annoying). I upgraded to the second tier which only set me back $65 including gratuity. Yep, the tip is included! The owner Leszek arrived in advance of my pickup time and even offered to meet me by the baggage claim, for free (he says he offers meet and greet as a complimentary service to new customers when he has the time). Leszek is a wonderful conversationalist who LOVES dogs. So happy to find a reliable, pet-friendly car service! Will definitely be using Legendary Private Car in the future. Protip: when entering your pick-up time on their reservation form, use your flight's landing time not the time when you think you'll be ready (after collecting your bags, etc). read more

I highly recommend Leszek and his company. I did my first COVID-19 travel a week ago and was nervous about staying safe. He listened to my concerns and reassured me they take the utmost care. He wore a mask the whole time and was respectful of social distancing. I felt very safe in the car, much more so than anything like Uber. I was also impressed by his knowledge of the airport, flight patterns, traffic patterns and needs of his clients. This man knows his business! Rude plain and simple. After receiving an email from them with the pick up time changed to exactly when my flight landed, I replied by saying that it would take a while for me to get off the plane and through baggage, and I didn't want their driver to wait around for nothing, which is a waste of the drivers time. I received a very curt response from what I am guessing is the owner or manager stating that I don't know how this works and that they don't follow my idea of "made up time". After showing this email to my staff and wife, to make sure I wasn't overreacting, I tried calling the business and after explaining I wanted to simply cancel, I was greeted with a gruff, "email us" or something to that extent. I then responded back, through email, calmy by stating that I don't appreciate that type of response when spending a good amount of money to book what is supposed to be a luxury service, in this case an over $100 airport transfer in a Mercedes S Class. I was responded to with another email that basically blamed me for complaining that I had to write a short email, something I never did. If anything I had originally had good intentions and was trying to save this company money, so as to not have one of their drivers wait for me in 30 degree snowy weather. Clearly whoever answers the phone and emails customers here either has an English problem, a reading comprehension problem, or a more than likely customer service problem. Either way, while the website might be nice, and I'm sure the drivers probably are too, dealing with their customer service point people leaves everything to be desired. I need to give props to this company's level of service. Less then 4 hours notice I reached out for have a car service for my partner who was landing in ORD at 1am. It was a bit complicated as her her phone was stolen on her way to the airport so no way for her to request anything or revive text. I requested a meet and great with a sign for pickup. I am writing this review in order to save others from frustration - this owner was quite rude when I tried to book. I selected a car that he felt was too small. Instead of politely or calmly saying, "Hey, I don't think this car will suite your needs...", he told me, "How do you expect to get to the airport in this car? How?!....". When I emailed him and said please cancel, I got a rude and mocking email. When I posted my original negative review of this company, I got ANOTHER rude and mocking email: "We are laughing at your made up, fake review. Take your frustration somewhere else, read next time and don't lie, you entered a large vehicle, as we don't even offer such a car....". To get a further idea of how this man treats unsatisfied (or just bewildered) customers, read his replies to bad reviews - completely disrespectful to people with legitimate critiques. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend these guys. Getting to the airport was on time, polite driver, all good. Getting picked up from the airport was hectic and took way too long. I called when we got off the plane to let them know we'd landed but the person who answered the phone seemed to chastise me that I hadn't called sooner (confused about when that could have been?). Either way he said the car was waiting in the cell phone lot and would be there in 15 minutes. We made our way to the doors and waited 20, 25 minutes (forgot to mention it was late in the evening and I had a -until then very patient- toddler in tow). At 30 minutes I called the number again and he seemed frustrated that I was not calling our driver (again, how was I supposed to write down a phone number when I had luggage and a toddler to carry around?). Said he would call me back when he got the status of the driver, we're waiting outside in the dark and cold the whole time, 5 more minutes pass and calls me back and says it's on it's way. In another 5 we finally found our driver. I'm not sure why it had to be so confusing and take a long time. Seems like they should have a better system. For a $75 ride, this was definitely definitely not worth the hassle. Probably would have gotten home sooner in a taxi. Not using these guys again. read more

This is by far the WORST experience I had using a car service. I made changes to a reservation, so far no problem. I then needed to change the time and after i did not receive a reply I called to confirm. The person on the phone was extremely rude and yelled at me that they had changed it so why on earth why I calling? I told him I had not received anything and he said thay had sent it 3 times. Well after giving them a bad review elsewhere, they sent a nasty email (so they couldn't send me one to confirm, but of course they can send emails to bully unhappy customers). I tried to explain I had the times wrong bc I am in L.A. which to any normal person running a business would not be more than a laugh. I used Legendary Private Car for the hourly limo rental. Everything went very smoothly, we were able to reserve a limo on a Saturday night with only 1 weeks notice. Communication was great beforehand and upon arrival, using a text service to let us know when our limo arrived, etc. The limo was in great condition, very comfortable and clean, with glassware provided. I think the rate was very fair for the service offered. Our driver Aamar was so nice and patient with our requests to drive around to photo shoots in the city as it was a bachelorette party. He waited for us and even took a few group photos for us which was above and beyond. The only thing keeping our ride from being perfect was that the phone/music connection did not work, either over bluetooth or with the cord connection that was provided. We were driving around for a bachelorette party, so the music was an important part of that. However, my issue with the company comes not at all from the issue of the music not working, as the driver was very helpful in trying to get it to work, and apologetic. He told me it was working in the evening and was some fluke. It was fine as we were able to listen to the radio. The issue was not with this mishap, but with the owner's unprofessional response when I suggested that there may be a discount in exchange for the car not being in fully working order. (I did not ask for one, simply inquired.) If he had simply said "no unfortunately we aren't able to offer discounts based on that but I'm so sorry to hear your ride wasn't exactly as you wished" I would have not mentioned it again, and either way my tip was going to be 20% as that went to the driver.
