Higher Education are criminals who are damaging the name of an American Company, Cali Crusher, as well as trust in local businesses. I brought the clean and unused grinder back into Higher Education, along with the receipt, and proof that it was a knockoff. The Owner's reply after acknowledging that it was fake grinder was: "No returns. No returns, no exceptions. Do you want me to keep repeating myself?" This is the most unprofessional and disgusting way of doing business I've seen from a RVA proprietor outside of Seibert's Towing. Selling cheaply made knockoff goods for premium price of $70 and refusing to accept returns is simply criminal. The Owner has made this practice his policy, and for that reason Higher Education does not deserve your business. PS: The Grinder is fake because: 1) It visibly doesn't have Cali Crusher's patented 4-Way Quick Lock System. it just has regular cheap metal threading 2) It doesn't have the crossbar supports beneath the screen. 3) It has a cheap plastic pollen scraper, instead of Cali Crusher's signature guitar pick shape.

I mean seriously, what the heck is that? When I called the manager myself, she wouldn't even hear me out, just saying "no refunds" and "you should have read the signs before buying something." Totally not how the law works, much less basic retail service. I seriously hope that $85 one-time sale was worth losing a repeat customer and pissing off a neighbor.

I just needed to update my review to mention a few additional things about this great shop. The…read morecustomer service is still top notch, and they REALLY make you feel like you're family when you come in to this shop. There has been times after hours when the shop had just closed and I had an issue with a device, and Rudy had stayed late just to allow me time to get to the shop so he could correct the issue I was having. Management really cares about the customers and is constantly doing tastings of juice (for free) to allow the customer base to select the new juice lines that come in. Almost every day they run flash sales that they announce on their Facebook (so be sure to follow them there) on juices, RDAs, and even mods. The give aways are fantastic too, and the amount of free stuff given away just for being a customer over this past Black Friday was excellent. I should mention that they have moved to a new location (in the strip directly behind their old location) next to the Harley Davidson dealership. It's MUCH more spacious and very inviting if you want to hang out and lounge around. And they have a service pup usually in the shop who is very cute and sweet. Their CBD is super effective for my anxiety and insomnia. They often have free samples of products. Tried a CBD lotion today for my sore neck and my neck feels great since. Really good value for the cost. Plus they regularly have great sales. This is my personal favorite the CBG isolate, which I find to be the most helpful for sleep anxiety. Their Kapana brand I think is the best (it's all I get now). Highly recommend!
