We have eaten here a couple of times when we were in Columbia, and it is a very nice place. We had a large group, but our service was very timely and the food was good, as we had a wide variety. The only issue was almost 20 minutes after ordering we suddenly found out they were out of potatoes, which seemed odd for a steak house but even odder on a Saturday night. This ended up holding up one meal and created an odd situation of whether to wait or not. The ambiance is nice and open, a great place to eat on any occassion. read more

Went to legends 2 nights in a row and the staff done awesome for the amount of people that showed up. Tonight Isiah our food runner was excellent for a young employee these days hard to find. When I lived in Columbia before they did a full remodel, legends had some if the best food I've ever had. The spinach queso was amazing and the burgers were fresh patted out and grilled burgers with flavor. Today I went and the food was trash, and tge waitress was only at my table twice. Once to bring my appetizer and my meal at the same time and then to fill my drink once. The queso dip was cold, from sitting in the window forever I'm sure, so I didn't pay for it. And the "Legendary cheeseburger" was a barely warm frozen patty and the whole top of the bun was soggy wet like it had water spilled on it and they didn't even put the bacon on it. All in all worst restaurant in Maury County now. I'll never go back and I'll warn anyone I talk to about it. I could have had better service and food at ANY fast food place you can name. read more

It was our first visit to Legends after church Sunday. Loved their $8.79 lunch menu 11-2! Great prices! We also had a wonderful server that stayed on top of things even with two littles at the table. The rolls, cornbread, and sweet butter were a delicious starter. My husband really enjoyed the catfish & he got it with the Sriracha seasoning. I had the teriyaki pork chops that were pretty good, baked apples that were good, and the fried green tomatoes that were a little greasy and weren't served with any type of sauce. I've been going to this legends since before the remodel, a long time ago. I'm the type of foodie where if I have one bad meal I will never go there again. Well yesterday was the last day I'll ever spend money at legends of Columbia. Me and my aunt wanted to eat lunch somewhere "really good" after a doctors appointment she had. She said "well you can't go wrong with legends" so we went. I noticed all the staff I saw were young, under 25 years old if I had to guess. were seated We both ordered the legends chopped steak plate, medium well, it only came with one side. And we both ordered a side salad as an "appetizer" We got our food the salad was the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one star, it was actually ok. Our chopped steak plate with only one side was a very boring plate, a chopped steak with some cheese and sliced onions on top. Both of our "legends chopped steak" plates were boring, flavorless mediocre plates, the chopped steak had no flavor what so ever, no seasoning no flavor, all you can taste was just plain no seasoned hamburger meat that was fried on a frying top such as a fast food place! We looked at each other and made faces of unsatisfactory. We both only ate less than half the boring legends chopped steaks before we were done. Just plain flavorless hamburger meat fried on a cook top is all it was. I'll never be back. I'll just go to a random Mexican restaurant before I'll go back here. Went here for lunch and it was horrible. Super long wait, but okay it was Sunday so I guess you can expect that in a town that barely has any restaurants. We get seated and things just go completely downhill. I don't have time to detail everything but here are some highlights- -It took over an hour for any food to come out -Salads were delivered just prior to entrees (you would think they have someone prepping salads so those can come out before food and also serve as a buffer so the time between order and entree doesn't seem so ridiculous) -Turns out the salads SECONDS BEFORE the meal was a blessing because the table behind us were getting served their salads AFTER the entree! It was so strange. - They messed up a lot of the food and completely forgot mine. -I noticed our appetizer didn't come out either so I let them know to don't bother and take it off the bill, and that's when the table behind us chimed in that they think they got it!! They said they brought it to their table and they told them they didn't order it and I guess they just told them to keep it and never bothered to figure out who might be missing an appetizer. It was almost comical at this point how screwed up they were. -They, interestingly, were able to bring out my meal quickly and it was hot and tasty after first forgetting it. I wondered why they struggled to get food out with a quickness in the regular routine. -They were clearly overwhelmed but instead of the manager limiting seating they just kept seating tables without the proper staff to handle the demand. Poor management! This location would really benefit from a management team that knows how to create workflow efficiencies. You can see they are greatly lacking in this regard. We had guests in from out of town and the experience made them declare they didn't even want to try another establishment in this town. That's how bad it was! Save your time (lunch took about 3+ hours in total) and go literally anywhere else!! read more

Legends is a regular lunch stop for us. The lunch combination plates are a great deal and a lot of food. Meat plus two, cornbread or roll and a drink for around 9 dollars. They also have cheap specials of the day. The sides are typical southern fare. Good fried green tomatoes and fried okra. There's a standard sit down side and a sports bar side. A bonus star because their house brewed sweet tea is fantastic, and they have a good fruit tea as well. You can get either in to-go gallons. read more

The food was so-so overall, but the fries and chips were both so salty the were not edible! The service was on top of things, not too much waiting. However, when it came time to pay our waitress was nowhere to be found! We waited for 30-minutes before I final had to track down someone to take our payment so we could leave. Since me last visit the place was gutted and completely redone. No more filthy carpets and the place looks Really nice. Service was very good. Waiter was attentive and took care if all requests. Food was decently priced. I had the 1/2 rack of ribs for $11. They were good but average. No one at the table had any complaints. There is quite a bit to choose from So maybe another update. I don't think you will be disappointed but this place isn't a chain so I had high Expectations. I would compare it to Logans Roadhouse. Well I've been a fan of legends for years. I've eaten at most of the locations and I absolutely love the majority of their food. Today I ordered a sirloin Orleans medium but after my steak came out well done I sent it back. I'm normally not one to do that but it was just too tough for me. So after waiting 30 min for them to recook the meal it came out dry and overcooked again. I tried to eat it but just couldn't. The shrimp and sides were great and my server was great as well. The first steak was a 2 out of 10 the second was a 3. They offered to discount my bill %40 but I didn't even eat the steak. That's the only reason I'm leaving the review. I paid 22.05 for a few shrimp and asparagus. Not a pleasant experience for me and I was here 1.5 hrs. I wish the kitchen and management would have done a better job because their server was excellent. read more
