The service is excellent, with plenty of staff on the floor to assist customers. Lately, I haven't seen this level of quality food at such reasonable prices. Every single Mexican restaurants increase their price so much these days.

What a hidden gem! Traveling thru the area & we stopped for the night in Columbia - after a 6 plus hour drive we just wanted a nice dinner & cocktail - did we ever luck out! We LOVE Mexican food & who would have thought - coming far away from Chicago - we'd find this spot with fabulous Mexican delights hidden right off the highway? The menu is extensive & you can tell that ever server cares about the service & how the food is presented .... from our server to the bus boy - they constantly checked to make sure our food was ok, our table was clean & our chips were filled! The walls are filled with fun FIESTA decor & the entire place feels Mexican with a sports bar vibe - LOL. Taco Asadas were great & the margarita was huge & refreshing!

Last year (2023), I was very proud to call this place our only Mexican restaurant. The food, ambiance, and service were all finally spectacular, even after all the COVID staffing issues and changes in the menu and lighting. Today I knew it was Cinco de Mayo and they might be busy so I placed my order online early. The wait time wasn't horrible and I got there five mins early and my food was already lukewarm. I live right around the corner, so that was odd. I reheated the food and halfway thru the enchilada, I discovered a 4 inch long piece of plastic. Probably was from the meat packaging. If you place an order on the website, they are unable to refund over the phone fyi. I just drove around the corner and got a cash refund. The manager was extremely nice and apologized profusely, and the waitstaff was very friendly, too. I am just not loving the direction the food is going here. Also the tipping is really weird. You tell the server how much you want to tip them?? Awkward! Anyway, I know for a fact there was not a single parking spot last Cinco De Mayo, and when I went this time, they looked kind of slow honestly. Hopefully, the new management will be able to course correct because I was celebrating having such a great spot so close!

We don't usually make it down to Columbia it's not really a place for us to go on a regular basis. However, we had an event at Columbia State community college, so we decided to stop in since it was conveniently located right off of I 65. We brought a few friends as we were all heading to this event together. Here's what we discovered: Ambience: As you would expect being in a strip mall, it was fairly large, however, and definitely had the bright colors on the wall traditional wooden chairs, plenty of seating, and had that Cabo feel . Service: Aside from a little bit of a language barrier struggle service was amazing, seated right away plenty of room, parking was easy, and our server was prompt, polite, and very attentive . Food: I ordered the fajitas. Others ordered some enchiladas, a cheese, quesadilla, chicken dish, and some shrimp tacos all of which came back with pleasing results. The chips and salsa were also quite good as the chips were hot and salty and the salsa while being a bit thin was still tasty. Price: I'd say the pricing was fair for the amount of food that you received considering there are some places that I could recommend that are better price for the same quality food but there's a lot more higher price establishments out there so this one sits right in the middle . Summary: Great service great location right off of I 65 very reasonable prices and good service. Can't go wrong with this place at least for this opportunity that we were there. Keep munching and merry Christmas !!!!

Overall, this was a good meal, though it didn't start out very well when we were seated at a booth with a very wet butt-print in it. I thought the booth fabric looked weird where I was about to sit, so I put my hand down, and it was totally wet. I'm really hoping that someone spilled a drink in their lap, and not that they lost bladder control. After washing my hands (very thoroughly!) in the bathroom, I ordered the Patron Margarita. I'm pretty sure I was given the house margarita. It tasted a lot like orange juice. I'm probably to blame for the mix-up because after placing the order, I asked for the larger size. I think that maybe the larger size is only an option for the house margarita. But still, knowing that I had specifically ordered the Patron Margarita, it would've been nice for the server to let me know that it's not available in the larger size. I would've ordered the Patron Margarita (regular size) later in the meal to compare, but after the food arrived, the server rarely checked back in. By the time I had a chance to order another, we were pretty much done eating. The guacamole looked totally bland & boring, but was surprisingly flavorful. It was quite good, actually, and I'm pretty picky about guacamole since it's one of the few things I know how to make well on my own. I was super happy to see Molcajete on the menu. I fell in love with it in Tijuana, and it's pretty hard to find at Mexican restaurants in the US. Unfortunately, my food arrived almost 10 minutes after everyone else's, so they were halfway done eating by the time my food arrived. And I'm the slowest eater in the group! I was made even slower by the fact that it took another 15 minutes to get a side plate, so eventually I just started sloppily wrapping the molcajete into tortillas with my hands and no plate to set it down on. The service was very friendly, if not the most attentive. The food was overall very good, with the exception of the cactus in the molcajete. It was a bit tough. Every other time I've had it, it's been soft & tender. I think maybe they didn't peel the cactus leaves very well because it was the outer part that was hard to bite through. I hope this review doesn't come across as TOO negative. It was pretty good, and I would go back if I'm ever driving through this way again, but there were just a few too many issues for me to give 4 stars.

Big and open bar area. Great space!

Just tried this place in Columbia just off 65 at Bear Creek Pk. Love this place and the food! Everything was well seasoned and fresh. Big portions and ..... the chips are not greasy and have great flavor! Awesome cheese dip too!!! Service was good and the place is so clean!!! Check it out!!!

I am giving Tequilas 5 stars even though the service was a little slow and we were given plastic ware to eat with. They were not expecting to be slammed with mountain bike tournament kids. The place was completely packed.. we were a party of 12, 8 kids +4 adults. We sat the kids at a 6 top and added 2 chairs, and the adults sat at the bar a few feet away. They had maybe 5 draft choices, and a lot of different margarita choices. The bartenders pre mixed them in gallon containers. My Modelo was good, that's all I can speak for. I ordered carne asada and it was well cooked and flavorful. Beans and rice were average Mexican fare, as well as the chips and salsa. Good but not standout. I would certainly come here again at the next tournament

Huge portions. Food was great. Service was good. Dine in or take out. We've done both and are happy either way.

Chimichanga is great and no all Mexican food is not the same. This place has their business running right and they serve you quickly

Culamar is drenched in natural light and decorated simply - nothing too loud or busy about the place, thus perfect for a working lunch. The menu was odd and we all struggled to understand the categories it was broken up into. Each item read as a series of arbitrarily listed ingredients. Our (half asleep, disinterested) waitress informed us the dishes were, in majority, "tapas style", a term I find exhaustingly passé. I began to dream of restaurants down the road we could have selected, but we were here and we must stay the course! I had to keep it together for Dennis. We ordered 6 dishes for the three of us to share, and you know what? They were all excellent. Really such outstanding bites. I was stunned by how much I enjoyed the beef carpaccio, the calamari was the best I've ever had (amazing tempura fry!), the Gnuddi (basically a massive gnocchi) in browned butter and crisp sage was a pillowy delight. In spite of my initial concerns -- the hiccups of a confusing menu and our less-than-energetic waitress -- we all left with pleased palates.

The food itself was absolutely delicious. The bread was AMAZING and honestly one of the highlights. We also ordered the oysters, beef carpaccio, and duck, and everything tasted incredible. My biggest complaint is the price for the portion sizes. I really don't mind spending money on a nice dinner, but every dish we ordered was gone in what felt like less than a minute. Everything tasted amazing, but for the amount of food you actually get, I just couldn't justify the prices. We actually left and ended up going to another restaurant afterward because we were still hungry, which was pretty disappointing considering how much we had just spent. Overall, the food was delicious, but between the extremely small portions, high prices, tight space, and slower service, it just wasn't worth it for us. I'm glad we tried it, but I wouldn't go back.

My family and I were all beyond satisfied with what we experienced during this visit to Southern Tré. Here'a what stood out during our dining experience: * Our shared Shrimp appetizer was super tasty. * My 6oz sirloin was cooked to a medium, mouthwatering perfection and tenderness. * My father and I both enjoyed the blackBerry mixed beverage. (The name escapes me now but I recommend asking about it) * The southern decor and lighting made for an enjoyable and relaxing ambience. * Our waitress was pleasant, on top of things, and treated our toddler well. * The pricing was surprisingly fair for the quality of meal we received. * Our family mentioned several times (during and after) how great the seasonings and flavors were and how much our expectations were exceeded. In short: If you're near downtown and would like a nice sit down meal or a solid spot for a special occasion; instead of driving to Spring Hill for one of the chain steakhouses, I highly recommend you instead give Southern Tré a shot.

Meals came out and all of them were delicious. The only thing was that the asparagus was large stemmed and it was a little tough. Other than that the meals were excellent.
